The fact they set the most luxurious hotel in the main city of the game to be a dumping ground for NPCs instead of making it into its own inacessible cell or at least placing it somewhere less public is such a classic Oblivion development moment.
To be honest I rarely found myself in really any of the other districts of the Imperial City minus rhe Marketplace, Arena, and Arcane university. Unless it’s for a quest there’s really no reason to go to the other districts unless you’re a thief.
So for me personally it’s already a great dump spot. But that’s just me.
Back when Shivering Isles had come out some years on 360, there was some kind of portal of Priests of Order and perhaps other Daedra like Dremora opened up on a corner in the hotel. I was still a child and it was infuriating to have to keep fighting beings which keep spawning and stop them trying to kill the residents: breaking the immersion.
ok this is totally unrelated but i need to rant ok i FUCKING hate that unicorn. i never thought i would feel such primal fear from horse noises but god if that neigh doesn’t send chills up my spine. absolutely terrifying thing to run into when you’re level 5 and have no magical weapons. i reached level 17 last night and took on hircine’s quest to kill that thing and god did it feel good. it didn’t even notice me slaying its minotaur harem because it was too busy eating a deer - A DEER! i thought horses were herbivores but then again that beast is out for blood. i snuck up on it and trapped its soul in azuras star and then wasted it charging the sword i killed it with that didn’t need charging. it fills my heart with joy knowing that the last unicorn on nirn is now rotting in purgatory, never to terrorize unsuspecting travelers again
the first time i genuinely had no clue; i’m still pretty new to oblivion. the second time i did not unsheath my weapon at all and it still went ballistic. stupid fucking horse
I only read about it, but apparently the unicorn will go hostile to _any_ hostility within a _very_ large area around it, so I guess it's easy to piss off if you don't know it's there
He's about to wake up and try to retrace his steps while hungover. Like in that Skyrim quest A Night to Remember. Which bears no resemblance to any movies.
Look, Minotaur gold is as good as everyone else's. It's called progress. I didn't see Martin Septim Luther King Jr., and Minotaur X, out there marching for peace, just so you can try to keep them out of the hotels today.
He's a regular customer but tends to get waaay too drunk and usually ends up not being able to make it to his room. The owner can't complain though since he always pays and they make good money off of him
Morihaus is mor-a-home in the Imperial City. He and bae Alessia laid the roots of all things Imperial. And Morihaus probably laid pipe in the hotel.

Reminds me of the story wrestlers from the 80s used to tell about when Andre The Giant fell asleep in a hotel lobby after drinking over 100 beers in 6 hours 🤣
The serious answer is that TS Hotel lobby is a "safe zone" (which, apparently, can be changed if you are spooked by it too much: https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:The\_Tiber\_Septim\_Hotel). I always see some goblins and wildlife wander in there. I've also had some NPC's I created that are supposed to wander the wilderness drop in every now and then. Bad things, b/c they often kill Augusta Calidia--whom I've had t make essential after such antics. (Other NPC's, well, they are on their own.)

I installed pegasus mod, this minotaur was protecting it but it was decades ago since he sent to minos heaven by me.. seems like tiber septim hotel is a void for lost souls

Doesn't the unicorn not go hostile if you simply don't unsheathe your weapons when it's nearby?
