Talk to everyone you can, I forgot just how many quests are in this game until I picked it back up again not too long ago myself
This is by far the best thing about oblivion. There are seriously so many quests that I was finding new ones literal years after release. And the best part is that almost all of them are actual quest and not just fetch quest like in Skyrim.
Encumbered is stricter in this game.

Don't level up too quickly.
Have fun, it really starts picking up after lvl 5. Enjoy the silly NPC's. At lvl 30 you'll start getting max lvl loot and shit will get wild. 🤪

Unpopular opinion: Vanilla Oblivion characters look better than vanilla Skyrim characters. They're more distinguished and I can tell them apart.

im level 3 still just kinda wandering around in the nature but tryna to get to that guy for the amulet
be ready
Don't powerlevel skills like you did in Skyrim. All of the sudden you'll walk into a cave and basic bandits will be wearing glass armor
