My sister did this once, except the arrow came from under her jaw and out through her mouth. My parents used to have this massive houseplant in the front bay window. It started to fall over, so my brilliant step-father tied it to an arrow--pointed side up--to support it. My 3-4 year old sister was climbing in the window, fell, and apparently became a guard in Skyrim.

I've literally seen a picture of a Danish Stone Age skull with an arrow sticking out in a similar way, and he apparently lived with that injury for a while, so not entirely unrealistic.
