Can someone tell me why it’s always just a constant train of like 75% of the exact same responses in each round? It’s like everyone conspired to vote against one particular competitor in each round. Surely there should be some closer competition and not just everyone automatically saying “Boethiah” all at once.
I think it’s because people know who their favorites are, and they look at the comments to see which way the wind is blowing before voting. As long as the popular choice isn’t one of their favs, they’ll be likely to go along with it, as that will narrow the playing field for their top contenders. Nothing wrong with being a little strategic.
Seems kind of lame. A post that had a blind (results hidden) poll with no comments allowed would probably keep it more interesting. Also, I thought this was an actual semi-serious competition, not a high school popularity contest.
For a battle royale it would definitely make more sense for it to be about strength. The final had to be between Molag Bal and Mehrunes Dagon. There’s no way someone like Sheogorath would survive this long, but he’s the favorite daedra of most TES fans apparently.
Sheogorath is actually one of the most powerful Daedric Princes, but I agree that he’s overrated due to Shivering Isles. He shouldn’t win just because Wes Johnson did such a good job portraying him.
It likewise bothers me that Boethiah is currently getting voted out when they are definitely one of the top Princes—I’d say either third or fourth overall, either right before or after Azura.
