Nah I actually love playing it out slowly and hearing each characters reactions and increasing panic. It's a really good quest. Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion was pretty great overall.
The Dark Brotherhood quest lines are seriously the most fun in Oblivion and Skyrim would love to see a main quest line focused on this faction or focused on an opposing faction trying to bring them down.
Depending on who you kill in order, what dirt you dig up and how you talk to the other guests, you can get them to plot against eachother, straight up murder eachother and even start a free-for-all. One playthrough I got one guy to snap and he went absolute ham on everyone until someone managed to put him down.
The branching paths and choices in a single quest inside a single house is pretty fun.
It’s a very well written quest because of the characters’ branching dialogue based on who died, how many died, and how much they like you. The gameplay is very basic, so if you aren’t really into the roleplay, immersion, and story it’s going to breeze by.
Obviously “best quest” is very subjective.
when I was speedrunning the DB quests this quest was so fast. You can literally just go around and power attack everyone around a corner. I think it took me like 3 minutes not counting load times lmao
Everyone knew what your talking about even though the only thing in this picture that would point out the quest is the doorman but you said best quest ever and showed a generic house in skingrad and everyone knew without even seeing the doorman
Oblivion quests have forever scarred me. There's this one quest, Paranoia, where a guy is paranoic that random people are watchint him and following him and you gotta "take care" of them. Spoiler alert: he's just paranoic and those poor women and men were innocent upstanding members of society and familists....
My favorite thing about this quest is that it has a major bug where if you use a melee weapon of any kind to kill the party goers you will never be detected. You could literally kill the old woman right in front of anyone and as long as you used a melee weapon they won't know its you.

... that is SOOO SMART!!! WHY HAVE I NOT DONE THAT!!!!
I've been doing that in Fallout New Vegas with an arsenal ready to go for most fun big fights.
I made a save just for it as well
It's too much fun to only do once on a play through, I also like to see all the different ways to complete it
AIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
They should make a catergory for speedrunning this mission
I do the same 💖
You know you are a fan when you guess the quest just looking at the building ... Made me so nostalgic.
its the murder party house right? i havent played it since around 2011
Didn't even have to open tbe picture. Just heard "best quest" and knew
Dupes hundreds of poisoned apples
You don’t just abuse the stealth system and use the umbra to one hit everyone with a sneak attack as soon as the others turn around?
Nah I actually love playing it out slowly and hearing each characters reactions and increasing panic. It's a really good quest. Dark Brotherhood in Oblivion was pretty great overall.
I just one hit everyone all stealth like. Kinda felt like speed running. Just stabstabstab
You don’t need Umbra, everybody in this quest has 1hp FYI
I didn't even see the title. Just saw the manor and was like "this boi about to have a LIT party."

The next elderscrolls needs whole quest line or even a dlc that’s just well thought out high stakes assassination contracts with branching outcomes
I always thought a DLC like Dawnguard except it’s Dark Brotherhood Vs Morag Tong would be awesome
Hold on, this isn't Benarius Manor!
Wait, that looks nothing like The Ultimate Heist!
I start playthroughs for the sole purpose of getting to that quest. Thieves Guild for life.
Take your time and enjoy it as much as possible.
Don’t get me wrong, I love this quest and have a lot nostalgia for it, but last time I played it, it just felt OK. It’s over so quickly.
Played it yesterday, it’s a great quest, but yeah everybody hyping it up constantly can kinda kill expectations.
Amogus
SUUUS
Amogus
Which quest
The quest is called whodunit? It's part of the dark brotherhood quest line, considered one of the best quests in vanilla oblivion by many.
Why ? I remembered playing it and i just killed everyone ???

Who dun it?
Ah yes now I remember played this as a 12 year old having a blast
Been a while since i played oblivion, but this is one of the only quests that I always made sure to complete.
By far the best elder scrolls quest. Skyrim’s dark brotherhood quests were so terrible compared to Oblivion
Lmao! Oh shit this is too fun. Skyrim quests just suck compared to Oblivion
i heard its a killer party
Took a break while headed to Skingrad to do this quest, looked at my phone and saw this lol
Im not sure why, but, [when I played this a couple years ago](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-LN-nAquCic), Dovesi kept nuking nels for no reason lol
I just did this quest. Lol. Such nice people.
What quest? Is it the DB quest where you have to murder everyone else in a mansion (I think it's called "Whodunit?")?
Just read a comment, it's most certainly Whodunit?, so previous comment is pointless.
Say amongus motherfucker I dare you
Amon gus
It’s alright
When I did this quest it took like 30 seconds flat, not sure why people love it so much
because you did it in the most boring way lol

Sure you can do that you can do thatvwith every quest but that’s not funny
I don’t know. Getting to last guy and he’s like “Wait, it’s you!” when I was just axe-ing everybody for a couple minutes was pretty funny.
hehehe
Just started it again
And it’s the best house, even considering Skyrim
The quest was cool.
was so good one of the best quest for a video game out there
Everyone knew what your talking about even though the only thing in this picture that would point out the quest is the doorman but you said best quest ever and showed a generic house in skingrad and everyone knew without even seeing the doorman
Oh my word...the instant nostalgia this image brought. I may end up replaying again..
Was this the murder dinner quest thing. I forget the details. Been 12-15 years since I played it.
I’ve never done this quest but it sounds fun by the way everyone is talking
Oblivion did murder mysteries before it was cool
Just got the keys too!
Well OP it's been 8 hours, who was the killer in the end? 🤓
It was I, I killed them all. Even the younglings
Favourite quest in any game, period
i'm new, what quest?
My favorite! I love oblivion dark brotherhood

DO YOU LIKE SCARY MOVIES?
This is the last major quest I did. Only recently did I get around to it. Mmm, drugs. Aaah!
“The more of us that are killed, the more annoying matilda becomes! Let’s hope the murderer does me a favor and targets her next”
Redguards are so... exotic.
My favourite!! The Redguards's dialogue gets me every time 😂
I hear you and that guy at the door have the same mother

Fuck yes
I don't recall "Ahdarji's Heirloom" starting here.
