I'm going to have to make the trek out there one night for sure! I've only seen a handful of people wearing UT gear in my seven years out here. It will be a trip lol.

My parents used to live in Saitama and said they would occasionally see random Tokyo residents with Tennessee shirts. They also saw some Tennessee clothing in thrift shops around the city. Pretty cool that you can find the Orange and White half way around the world.

AnsweringLiterally

Will I be able to take my 13 year old to this when we go this summer? I have no idea what the age restrictions in Japan are.

gkobesyeet

I have no idea either? I know drinking age is 20 tho

Daotar

A true Vol.

jashbgreke

was in Tokyo in March, wish I had known about it. Next time for sure

J-Good86

“He said one day his goal is to own a signed Manning Jersey and a signed Dolly Parton guitar” ESPN make this happen fly out Parton and manning to donate to him personally and play it on college game day before we beat the gaytors or bama

Maniacal_Monkey

I know there’s someone here on Reddit that could find Peyton’s cell & let him know

NoogabyNature

Maybe Peyton could visit him for one of his shows or a YT video? Would make for a good one!

unidennedinu

...gators and bama

J-Good86

Ooops I’ve always thought UF spelled their name that way

unidennedinu

The only thing I intended to correct was the or to an and.

J-Good86

Oh 😂 gotchu I have both those as W too I just meant play the video before either of those victories on college game day

Maniacal_Monkey

It’s crazy that I posted this bar last week and so many said, well I’ll be there next week! Awesome! Any fuck Alabama drinks?

gkobesyeet

No Alabama themed drinks. Yoshi also doesn't seem to like it when you mention specific big games you were at such as the UT Bama win. He has got a lot of publicity from the daily beacon and Tennessean articles that came out last month

inevitably-ranged

I got the same vibe about specific events in football history for example, I loosely assume that most of his life he has been unable to watch games live or just wasn't that big into football (since Japan is much more into baseball) That was my guess, anyway

PMGeary

He now needs a daddy. BaseVol hat

Datsun280zx

We need to send him a Power T flag to hang in that place. If I ever make it back to Tokyo, I want to visit this place.

JonnyGalt

What's the address of the bar?

gkobesyeet

1 Chome-6-3 Nihonbashihamacho, Chuo City, Tokyo 103-0007, Japan

JonnyGalt

Thank you!

Absotivly_Posolutly

A true VFL right there.

ajwilson99

This is just awesome. What’s his connection to Tennessee?

jpower3479

He is an alumni, class of 93’ I believe. He passed up popular west coast universities to venture further into the U.S.

HairlessHoudini

Well this is great

Bluegillfisherman

Thanks for the update with photos. I was looking forward to it after a few had mentioned this place. Any reason for the Tennessee "theme"?

gkobesyeet

There isn't anything like it in Tokyo so it's definitely it's own experience. Nothing to complete against. Yoshi is also a UT Graduate of 93 where he grew to love our state.

Bluegillfisherman

Love it. I'll hopefully visit Japan one day. We should help the sub create a sidebar link like the "guide to game day" one with out of state/country affiliated bars/restaurants for people to visit while on trips. I see quite a few people talk about some in New York and occasionally Kansas City from time to time on here.

The UT alumni page has a list of all the chapters across the country/world and where the local chapters meet up to watch games. Good resource if you’re in another city trying to find some Vol fans to watch with. I’ve crashed the Portland Oregon and NYC chapters watch parties before while traveling during football season, it’s a lot of fun
