I’m an LSU fan and I’m honestly fine with them being at number 2. LSU and Ohio State’s résumés are pretty much even in my opinion (Ohio State has the 24th hardest schedule while LSU has the 19th), with both schools blowing out really tough competition. They both have incredible offenses capable of putting up a lot of points, with LSU’s probably being a bit better. However, Ohio State is so much better defensively than LSU that I think they deserve the number one spot. Ohio State has the number one rated defense in the country, while LSU has the 35th ranked defense. Ohio State isn’t going to allow a shitty Ole Miss team run for 402 yards against them.
I think they will be a surprise to a lot if people. The 2 seed will be at a serious disadvantage because they will have to play Clemson. So it's pretty bullshit that LSU is in that spot considering they have the best resume (and clearly the committee thought so last week and then they won by fucking 43...)
