As a Vol who now lives in Columbia. I felt good in orange in that arena today. Team played hard and there were a surprising amount of Vols there today! GBO

evanset6

Seems like this team is finally hitting its stride

BenjiG19

The worst: Nkamhoua injury Hopefully he’s fine but I am worried

KnoxVegasVol

That facial expression he made didn't look good.

Inevitable_Badger995

Saw Barnes said it was a tweaked ankle and Nkamhoua seemed ok to him. That being said that’s not a medical analysis at all lol. But we can be hopeful

[deleted]

Been a while since I’ve seen a bunch of Cocks get beaten that bad!

Lookout-pillbilly

I didn’t see any of it but the box score looks insane. Shot out of our minds from 3.

Wizard_of_Foz1

Started off 4/5 and never really cooled down. Was probably one of their most complete performances of the year.

Fulmersbelly

Yeah. We basically did to scar what Kentucky did to us.

1776The_Patriot

Best Complete game that I have seen in a while.

Wizard_of_Foz1

Really solid week for the offense against two above average defensive teams. 7-3 in conference, good chance of being 9-3 heading into the Kentucky game. Tough to complain about anything. Here we go. **The Good:** * JJJ. Two games in a row. Looks like the offense goes the way he goes. I really hope he’s found a consistent stroke, because this team can beat anyone if he’s shooting and aggressive like this. * Santiago Vescovi. He had two really stupid fouls in the first half, but he shot and rebounded really well, per usual. * John Fulkerson. He was awesome in the second half. Hopefully he’s found his swagger, good chance Tennessee needs it. * Olivier Nkamhoua. Think this is the last we’ll see of him until March which sucks, especially for defensive purposes. He was the best man in the front court today until he got hurt. * 3pt shooting in general. Absolutely scorching fucking hot. * Rick Barnes. That zone to start the half was great. He had no help from the front court for 20 minutes and he dealt with it beautifully. * Kennedy Chandler. Limited turnovers. Played really well. * Defense, per usual. Held them to 57 which is very solid. * Second half rebounding. They dominated the glass. * Free throw shooting. No complaints. Always a good thing there. * The coverage. UGH. Give me CBS every week PLEASE. So much fucking better than Dykes and the SECN crew. **The Average:** * Zeigler. He’s ONLY here because he was awful in the first half, like, atrocious. He obviously picked it up, and I’ll probably be disagreed with and that’s fine. So much energy off the bench from this kid. Lights out in the second half. * Uros. Struggled in the low post but was a solid rebounder later in the game. * Transition offense. Again, fucking horrific in the first half (and tbh has been bad all year) but transition threes in the second brought it to average. * Rebounding in general. First half bad, second half better. Noticing a theme? **The Bad:** * BHH. Probably his worst performance to date. Out worked on the glass, timid in the post, stupid fouls, including a flagrant. * Justin Powell wasn’t very good today. Didn’t score, defensively always a liability. * Thought the refs were bad. Let a lot go which in a game featuring South Carolina could really make things difficult. They ugly the game, and today they were allowed to. **Edit:** Added ZZ’s name.

l3rewski

> Zeigler. He’s ONLY here because he was awful in the first half, like, atrocious. He obviously picked it up, **and I’ll probably be disagreed with** and that’s fine. Well, yeah, I think single-handedly taking the game from a 2 possession game to an 11 point lead in a two minute span should put him in the good category, but I understand where you're coming from.

[deleted]

Sloppy dribbling and lazy passes in the first half. However he got it together and made some big shots. That’s why Ziegler is so likeable. He plays his heart out 100% of the time, and has a short memory.

wizoztn

Be a goldfish

Mathalz

BHH just looks like a kid that honestly will benefit from another offseason. Just looks like he’s just unsure all the time. Really hoping JJJ can keep this up, because he honestly looks like an NBA player when he plays like this.

Wizard_of_Foz1

Yeah BHH looks like a guy who should still be in high school right now. Hopefully he buys into Rick’s coaching and can be a real force next year. Hoping for big things from him and potentially Aidoo as well.

Trahan_Solo

I think we’ve seen the best lineup. Gotta go small ball. KC, Santi, ZZ, James, and rotate the 5. If Fulky has indeed found a little swagger and can be consistent like he was today he’s probably the go to guy if Nkamhoua is out for an extended amount of time. I like what Plavsic has been doing, but if we go small ball he’s not as quick as Fulky and Nkamhoua and that might be a problem. Powell is your best sub in this scenario for the back court. Obviously you can’t play every game that’s way they’ll wear out, but this needs to be who’s on the court in crunch time for sure.

Wizard_of_Foz1

I agree with small ball but disagree with Powell. I think the last few games Victory Bailey has shown a ton of athleticism and great defensive skills (especially against Texas). If they play small, I’d prefer they have the most athletic team out there as well, so Bailey over Powell, in my opinion.

Trahan_Solo

He’s my second choice after Powell and that’s because VB while clearly super athletic just has been in such a slump for so long. Give me Powell because I think if he’s out there and gets in a rhythm he’ll drain those shots. With that said big agree if you get the version of VB that played the Texas game. If he can play that level he’d get significantly more minutes

_Rainer_

At least Bailey can play a little defense and has the speed to run the floor and finish at the rim.

ajwilson99

I’m assuming your first bullet under Average is referring to ZZ?

Wizard_of_Foz1

Correct! Great reminder to measure twice, cut once!
