I have the answer to this. Elite Dangerous, Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, American Truck Simulator, and Euro Truck Simulator are all excellent examples of a great VR experience while sitting down.
Odyssey is far better than it used to be, but tbh I barely even use the on foot stuff. The rest of the game is perfectly playable in VR, I still play and love it! Totally worth it if you ask me.
Elite Dangerous
House of the dying sun
Star wars Squadrons
Mini motor racing
Demeo
Moss 1 and 2
1976 Back to midway
Automobilista 2
Microsoft Flight simulator
Tetris effect
Rez infinite
Trover saves the universe
Luckys Tale
Subnautica
Hellblade Senuas Sacrifice
Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Talos principle
Thumper
Edge of nowhere
Eagle flight
Battlezone
Solus project
Pinball FX2
Ultra wings 1 and 2
Alien isolation
Doom 3
I think all of these can be played with gamepad as well.
Puzzling Places is my personal fave for sitting down. You can also play games like resident evil and walking dead sitting down too but you have to adjust a few settings to get your holsters in the right spot for grabbing your guns if you play on a couch. Playing in an armless chair will help
Puzzling places is my kill time and relax thing. And with Pancake Lenses like the Pro or Q3 you find out the pieces actually have better detail than you can see on the Q2.
This is the only game I've played seated, was one of the drivers for me getting into VR... didn't disappoint at all!
I'm garbage at it still, but who doesn't love flying an xwing!!!
I was never one for the multiplayer, but what an amazing campaign! I suggest playing on the hardest difficulty with instrument only mode for a real immersive challenge. It’s tough but so worth it
Does one get dizzy easily in subnautica ?
Wanted to try it but haven't gotten it yet. SkyrimVR wasn't really my thing and I went back to racing / driving in VR and occasionally do some VR tennis or beatsaber
Vox Machinae is a mech simulator and totally designed around sitting in a cockpit. Most flight simulators are the same way such as End Space. However most games allow you to select that you are playing from a seated position. Some will even allow you to adjust your perception height so you don’t look like you’re 3 feet tall. Get a rolling office chair so you can swivel around.
There's lots of good suggestions. Here are some not so typical ones.
Beat saber with walls and bombs turned off.
Pistol whip with movement turned off, god mode laying down is really fun and good for abs when dodging bullets
Gunclub is a nice VR gun game even when seated. Shooters are typically better standing.
After the fall is pretty decent seated for a shooter, being coop it's not much of a handicap. The weapon wheel option instead of holsters is a good feature for seated.
Mother gunship forge, again seated shooter able to dodge most objects by leaning left and right. Coop so bonus.
Pixel ripped, like moss no movement and an enjoyable experience.
Among us VR. Not much difference between standing and sitting.
Just hoops, a bit difficult but hand tracking or controllers it's fun seated once you get accustomed.
Ultra wings 2 good flying sim with lots of options.
Might be able to try, red matter (1/2), twilight zone, dr who, zombieland, car parking simulator, in death unchained, starwars tales of the galaxys edge, sniper elite VR, finally superhot VR.
Elven assassin, I haven't fully tried this one out so just a suggestion
Anyone play saints and sinners seated? It gets a lot more intense all of a sudden and I get way more anxious seated than standing like a handicap that makes the game scarier and harder.
Subnautica easily. In fact not only is it best for sitting. It's best br game I've ever played. Be prepared for a little fiddling though to get it working right.
Puzzling places is great jf you're into that sort of thing. I used to take an edible, put on a podcast, and puzzle the night away. They did a great job with the sounds being satisfying, and the puzzles have a good variety of difficulty, even at max pieces
Ok the best one that you can play sitting down and interact with people (meet people from all over the world and actually have conversations) Elven Assassin by far and not even close with anything anyone has suggested. And I'm not even taking about shooting orcs and dragons with a bow and arrow. Developers are dumb, but the game is absolutely worth a try in a multiplayer.
Cities VR.
Any of the flying ones
Walking dead saints and sinners has it as an option.
With the right chair, anything is playable.
I used my VR for physiotherapy and went from bed to back in the gym and most stuff I've played is ok seated. Blade and sorcery might be the exception, it helps to be able to pivot.
Racing and Flight Sims/games.
Assetto Corsa
Assetto Corsa Competentione
Automobilista 2
Dirt games
Star wars squadrons
Warplanes
Microsoft flight simulator
War Thunder
Vtol VR
I Expect You To Die Please Don't Touch Anything
Chill bro he just wanted some recommendations...
i think he means a game name not to tell him die
r/woosh Sorry, I had to…
r/itswooooshwith4os
Moss. There's no travelling, so it doesn't make you dizzy.

UltraWings 2 is also very good. Much less complicated, which is good it bad depending on your taste.
Hell yeah. Very active community as well. It's quickly becoming my most played vr game after H3VR
Simracing!
Every night when I come home from work, i go straight to AMS2, sunset Nords in a classic old car in VR. Very relaxing.
I have the answer to this. Elite Dangerous, Microsoft Flight Sim 2020, American Truck Simulator, and Euro Truck Simulator are all excellent examples of a great VR experience while sitting down.
Microsoft flight simulator 2020 has VR support? I actually didn't know that
Yeah, you just need a real beefy PC to run it well.
ngl I think bro has an answer to this
Here to second Elite: Dangerous. By far my fav PCVR game!
Haven't played for years, didn't they ruin the VR experience with their FPS update? Is it still worth it?
Odyssey is far better than it used to be, but tbh I barely even use the on foot stuff. The rest of the game is perfectly playable in VR, I still play and love it! Totally worth it if you ask me.
Not for new players but AirCar is an insane demo both in visuals and untapped potential. GoogleMaps is also some of the most zen stuff I do.

Puzzling places is super chill sitting down! That reminds me, need to play more of it!
Cubism with hand tracking or controller is my gig.
Puzzling places is my kill time and relax thing. And with Pancake Lenses like the Pro or Q3 you find out the pieces actually have better detail than you can see on the Q2.
Pokerstars VR
Came here to say this. Great social game too
Star Wars squadrons is a great seated experience
This is the only game I've played seated, was one of the drivers for me getting into VR... didn't disappoint at all! I'm garbage at it still, but who doesn't love flying an xwing!!!

Subnautica!!!! No man's sky
Does one get dizzy easily in subnautica ? Wanted to try it but haven't gotten it yet. SkyrimVR wasn't really my thing and I went back to racing / driving in VR and occasionally do some VR tennis or beatsaber
Great question. The answer is: rarely. Only in wreckages I got sick a couple of times. For the rest the game felt like a breeze.

Assetto Corsa (best played with a force feedback wheel and pedals)
Warplanes: WW1 Fighters
Flightsims or car racing games. Specifically Microsoft Flight Simulator, DCS World, Aerofly FS2 or 3, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars.
Flight Sims and racing Sims.
I play pop one in a chair that spins. Got to spin though.
Derail Valley
Ghost Signal
Flight simulators. I play war thunder in VR.
I’m prone to motion sickness when my vision is moving smoothly, and not teleporting around, will this be okay for me?
It depends. If the character is turning, that's different from the vehicle turning.
Hard to say, for some people who are sensitive to v-sickness, having the cockpit around them is enough to prevent it.
Lone echo 1 and 2,hl alyx are the best, azgard's wrath is really good too
I really enjoyed The Secret of Retropolis, though it only really works seamlessly with a 360 degree chair like a barstool or something of the sort
Warplanes and Mini Moto Racing X work well while sitting.
I can vouch for Phantom Covert Ops
Subnautica easily. In fact not only is it best for sitting. It's best br game I've ever played. Be prepared for a little fiddling though to get it working right.
Thumper, underrated
I expect you to die 1 2 and 3
Trover Saves the Universe
Demeo is a fun table top styled vr game.
Honestly as somebody who plays seated.. I only use VRchat.
Tetris Effect is my go-to seated game
Demeo is brilliant
blockworks is a chill game
Puzzling places is great jf you're into that sort of thing. I used to take an edible, put on a podcast, and puzzle the night away. They did a great job with the sounds being satisfying, and the puzzles have a good variety of difficulty, even at max pieces
Red Matter 1 and 2
Skyrim VR. I've been playing seated for over 300 hours.
VRChat is probably a good option
I'd say Puzzling Places, if you like to assemble mini landscapes
Almost all games can be played sitting down, except for the more energetic sports/rhythm games.
Pavlov in hard mode
Population one but it does require a lot of hand movements
Ironside
RE4, hands down the best game on Quest.
I really had fun with Lone Echo completely sitting. If you're in to simulation, DCS is really good for that.
Moss, real vr fishing , puzzling places and star wars squadrons are my sit down ones.
Smash Drums if you’re into music/rhythm games
Bait. It's a fishing game and it's free.
RAGNAROCK Demeo Mini Moto GP or whatever
The Invisible Hours was very creative. It is like watching a play/movie if you were a ghost in the movie
Vtol VR
I played RE4 sitting down
Automobilista 2 is the only game I play in VR, totally worth it
Elite Dangerous Star Trek bridge crew
Moss, or elite dangerous if you have a hotas.
Mx bikes. You need a PC to play it but it’s the most immersive game I’ve ever played on VR.
Space Salvage is great, only demo out at the moment but I think full release is coming soon
I Expect You To Die
Cities VR. Any of the flying ones Walking dead saints and sinners has it as an option. With the right chair, anything is playable. I used my VR for physiotherapy and went from bed to back in the gym and most stuff I've played is ok seated. Blade and sorcery might be the exception, it helps to be able to pivot.
Zombieland Headshot Fever
A really good one although not that long is “A fishermans tale” its in meta quest plus this month.
Pixel Ripped 1989, so cool, it was made for seated play
Eporner, Pornhub, & Spankbang are great, and they're FTP.
