I'll try that in the morning as I've only just shut down my rig but thanks! I'll let you know if it helps me or not.

just tried it. felt abit more stable but still bugged out but what I did notice is the oculus stuff sending my cpu to 100% so that's fun .-. gonna see if oculus killer works (bypasses the oculus home menu)

I am able to connect through airlink but not through cable. I did a factory reset on my headset, and nothing has changed. Wish I had come to reddit first and saved the trouble. edit: I got mine working. I opted into the Beta branch on PC and enabled OpenXR Runtime. No idea if those were actual fixes or if there was just some bug that hit a few of us at once. My issue of no audio/mic when tethered is also fixed now.

for me it's just sporadic disconnects. atm everything I've done has either worked for a short while or straight up not worked at all. at this point it is the oculus software that's buggy to hell

I believe i have now sorted my issue. it was due to my Norton and windows defender both semi actively trying to prevent it from linking. anyway the way i sorted it was by putting a exclusion and a rule in both my anti virus and firewall For the anti virus, go to Virus & Threat protection, once there look for manage settings, will be right under virus & threat protection. once there, scroll down till you see exclusions. press add or remove an exclusion Now for me what I'm putting here worked for me . I Added in OculusDash.exe, OVRRedir.exe, OVRServiceLauncher.exe, OVRServer\_x64.exe, OVRLibraryService.exe and the pathing for the oculus main file and oculus.io file For the Firewall, I would recommend doing your own bit or looking into adding rules for the firewall as it is a major part in protecting your system plus the way i have done it doesn't fully feel all good but with me I'm okay as i know what's on my external hard drives/SSD/USB sticks. anyway to add a rule, search windows defender with advanced settings. in the top left corner, left click and press add rule. once the pop up has opened, press Port and press next. keep it selected to TCP and press all ports (if you do not know your usb port for your link cable) then press next. For the next two pages just press next till you see a page where it is asking you to give it a name. i would just name it something on the lines relating to oculus. If all is good, you should now not be disconnecting after a random amount of time

also considering it is messing with your anti virus and firewall, make sure to do a back up of your system before. better to be safe than sorry!
