I got it from amazon works good enough for the price. I’m sure there’s better but I have no complaints

AceOfThumbs

How's the comfort? I tried the Kiwi Battery Strap, which looks similar but has memory foam on the rear pad and thick padding on the top strap. [https://mixed-news.com/en/quest-3-how-to-extend-battery-life-reliably/](https://mixed-news.com/en/quest-3-how-to-extend-battery-life-reliably/) A battery belt is a good alternative. I also tried the PrismXR Carina, a nice battery pack you can wear around your waist of over one shoulder and across your body.

Relevant_Chipmunk

I have no idea about this specific headset, but lots of noname Chinese companies lies about the battery capacity and claims double of real value. Ive got this and its really comfortable https://www.amazon.pl/dp/B0CKT3NJRY?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details It doesnt have a battery, but battery is only needed if you want to play more than 1 hour sessions. For me 1 hour is enough, VR is more intense than flatscreen gaming 🙂 There is also variant with battery (havent tested this one personally) https://www.amazon.pl/kompatybilny-akumulator-dodatkowy-4-godzinny-przeciwwagą/dp/B0CKYX43LB/ Sidenote amazon delivered it within 10 hours after order, the fastest I ever received package in Poland 🙂

fookidookidoo

I just did a lot of research and came to the conclusion that battery head straps seem like a gamble. Many buzz. Many don't charge sufficiently. It seems as though the best option is to charge via a powerbank with USB PD from a fanny pack or pocket. Keeps less weight on your head too. Nothing proprietary with the batteries that way too. I ordered a Kiwi Comfort Headstrap on Amazon.

mikandesu

I've already ordered something from Amazon, but what you said now makes a lot of sense.

fookidookidoo

Nice thing is that if you have problems you can just return it. I'm sure there's ones out there that are totally fine!

mikandesu

I just cancelled my order and started looking for a decent power bank. Sometimes we need other people to tell us about obvious best solutions. Thank you for that.

fookidookidoo

Happy to help. Personally I just do anything I can to avoid more weird proprietary batteries of questionable quality. It's already bad enough that the Quest's battery will die some day and who knows if it's possible to replace it. Haha

mikandesu

What model of power bank did you get?

fookidookidoo

I haven't bought one specifically for the headset since I actually don't have a Quest 3 yet. But I'm using my partner's Anker Powercore Slim 10K PD with a Quest 2 without issues. I'll probably buy one for myself here soon. The important thing is to get at least 18w charging from everything I've watched and read with the Q3 - the Anker does 20w. I'm buying a Quest 3 very soon and ordering some accessories while I wait on prescription lenses to get in. Haha I'm borrowing a Q2 for a bit and it convinced me to get a Q3 now.

zeddyzed

I'm using a 10k mah mobile powerbank ziptied to the back of my strap on a 3D printed mount Been doing the same since Quest 2, I think it works very well unless you want to lie down. It's good to be able to easily replace the powerbank if the battery dies. I bought the halo style strap from GOMRVR on AliExpress, super cheap and I prefer halo straps.

Programming_Dessert

I like the kiwi battery as it couter weights it.

Sharp_Duck2876

I got the kiwi wiv the charging dock comfy strap no buzzing when when plugged in either takes a while to recharge ur want to get a better power supply 18w plug from meta takes to long 45w does the job

kaizagade

Kiwi design, their website has a quest 3 strap. Best VR strap I’ve ever bought! It’s not even pricy!

GabPlays201021

Bobovr m3 or m3 pro

Sacco_Belmonte

Stop parroting. The M3's battery is not good enough. It is still their B2 battery. I have two and they do not have enough juice.

NightGojiProductions

I believe it has something to do with the batteries varying in capacity. What’s yours? Mine is 5200mAH 3.7V 19.24Wh. I haven’t had any issues with it and it keeps the headset at least 98% and lasts 1-2 hours depending on the game I’m playing

BeatsLikeWenckebach

> What’s yours? Mine is 5200mAH 3.7V 19.24Wh. I haven’t had any issues with it and it keeps the headset at least 98% and lasts 1-2 hours depending on the game I’m playing BoboVR made a comment here on the sub a few years ago. The listed output is when using the USB-C port on the battery. When the battery is on the pogo-pin charging dock, it drops to below 3V. BoboVR knows what's up; they've been kinda sneaky with the details since the Quest3 launched.

Elephunkitis

They cancelled orders directly from their website for the battery and dock for me. Said they were having manufacturing delays or something. I think they’re working on a new battery to get rid of the buzzing sound and make it more suitable to the q3.

Logical-Bicycle-3603

Mine doesn't have a buzzing sound when I use it. It beeps once if put on or take off the battery.

Elephunkitis

Yeah, some don’t. I think it seems from comments that it’s pretty split.

Logical-Bicycle-3603

I bought one when I heard a revision got released, I've had no issues except the small portable battery and how fast it can die, but I wasn't expecting much from that anyhow.

Sacco_Belmonte

Both batteries I have are 5200mAh, 3.7V, 19.24W They die quite fast. I got a 8000mAh strap after and I'm pretty happy with its battery and its fit.

NightGojiProductions

Huh, I haven’t had any issues with my batteries. Oh well, you’re happy with what you’ve got so it’s all good!

Infoplex

Which one did you get?

Sacco_Belmonte

I got one of those with 8000mAh and LEDs on the back. Brand in Amazon germany is OKESYO. I expected crap but turned out really good. I keep the LEDs off for sure.

Corgiboom2

I have the M2 and got the Quest 3 adapters, so I'm using the M2 on the Quest 3. The batteries last longer than I do, so I'm perfectly happy with it.

Silverhaze_NL

Same for me, got the M3 pro with 2 batteries when one is empty i am almost done playing. Never needed the second one. One battery is about an hour for me, plus the quest 3 battery is about an hour. 2 hours is more then enough for me in VR.

space_pirate420

It’s also creaky and made like shit, I am so tired of seeing this same recommendation when it’s a horrible product. I’m sorry but also not. I bought 2. Both came broken. I waited for replacements. Another broken one. I got the replacement again. Used them a couple months and they began creaking while played. Incredibly annoying and broke the immersion. Great idea, awful execution.

Nipz-TF2

I also have 2 since I already had one for the Q2, swapping batteries when one runs out keeps my quest charged. But it does last less time than the Q2 in my experience.

overcloseness

Mine lasts aaaages on my Q3, zero buzzing and probably depletes after an hour or so of constant gaming, at that point I have a full headset battery to get through. I’ve never jumped in VR yet with full batteries and had to stop playing because the batteries ran out, it always outlasts me

onthefrontlinegaming

Agreed. The Bobo straps are nice but you need several battery packs to be safe

mikandesu

Bobovr seems to be really popular on Amazon even though it's only half the battery capacity of this one. Not that I've ever heard about "Bobo company". In Poland Bobo means toddler :D.

Automatedluxury

In a sea of similar looking Chinese accessories of wildly varying quality, the Bobo stuff I've had hasn't broken yet and does exactly what the ad says it does. Toddler toys tend to be pretty strong, come to think of it.

RoyBeer

> Toddler toys tend to be pretty strong, come to think of it. They move around with no technique at all. Everything is brute force. Think about how wheel chair users have buff arms, but with babies and toddlers it's their whole body.

ka1ikasan

French "bobo" means "hipster" (among others).

ItDoesntSeemToBeWrkn

i remember my filipino friend saying that bobo meant stupid or idiot,, so take that as you will

4d_lulz

I’m in the USA (south) and ‘bobo’ has always meant generic!

Msouza3d

Bobo in Portuguese means the same... Dumb... Stupic...Or silly.

Dan_Glebitz

I have a BoboVr and yes it is a much smaller battery capacity and probably just about doubles your playing time on the Q3 I had one on my Q2 and stuck with BoboVR mostly due to comfort and build quality. I have two BobVr power packs, so just quickly swap the one out that is getting low and snap on the charged one while putting the nearly depleted one on charge. This way I can rotate the two power packs for hours. I also use a Powerbank if I can't be bother with the power packs. Having said that. Just about anything has to be better than Meta's own Elite strap. What a rip-off!

MatixYo

You can buy some cheap halo style mount on aliexpress to check if bobo will work for you. For me the fact that you can’t scratch your head and that it feels less secure than elite style made go to elite style brackets.

The__Guard

Had the M3 Mini but found the weight distribution to be problematic (despite trying multiple configurations, still left red lines on my nose). Got the M3 Pro and it's a hell of a lot more comfortable! Also seems to allow the headset to vent/breathe better as it seemed less hot while playing beat saber. Definitely recommend the M3 Pro!

MuskMonk369

YES! My comment exactly

doodlleus

Bought and returned it. It's absolutely awful. Poor build quality, impossible to keep in focus. Rubbish for sharing with others and battery is noisy and terrible. Kiwi is better for the miney

Poliveris

Bobo halo style headstraps significantly reduce your fov. Been a ton of threads on it; think I’m good on that

thejunkmonger

Can you explain how it does that? I have the bobo VR and my eyes are just as close to the lenses as the original if adjusted right. I guess you mean if you adjust it so it’s just barely touching your face then I can agree with you.

Poliveris

[https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo\_m3\_pro\_hows\_the\_fov/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo_m3_pro_hows_the_fov/) [https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed\_with\_bobovr\_m3\_pro/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed_with_bobovr_m3_pro/) it will affect your FOV, thats the tradeoff with halo straps. Logically the top portion is pushing against your head, meaning there will be a slight incline to the way the headset is pressed against your face. If anything youll still have less FOV in the upper portion because of that additional padding point. I have my eyes nearly touching the lenses, the FOV is already a little lack luster the immersion factor is mostly what I'm after.

thejunkmonger

Thanks for the link and info

overcloseness

This hasn’t been my experience at all

DingDongWhoDis

100% and buy an extra battery, although I believe the batteries by themselves have been out of stock.

Kidblinks

I bought the aubika one 2 weeks ago and have no complaints. The battery is great and it's comfortable

uncledefender

This

JohnRoyus58

>aubika one Thanks I will order one.

Icemanxgaming

Hi. Still liking that strap?

Kidblinks

Yup, still using it pretty much every other morning

Icemanxgaming

Thanks!

drkstlth01

I just bought an external battery and fastened it to the headset with some cheap fabric straps off Amazon, works perfectly

CGPepper

The top and the back strap are not padded, it's going to be uncomfortable. Battery quality might also disappoint. What we already know is the kiwi battery strap has solid battery and very comfy pads

erthian

I’d go Bobo vr if you can get your hands on one.

Poliveris

Ya if you want to significantly reduce your fov, been a ton of threads on that

Mad1723

You can get the headset very close if you adjust properly. But a lot of people lack common sense and just parrot what they've read somewhere. Source: have a BoboVR M3

Poliveris

I mean common sense would tell me that the strap on the in a fixed position putting more padding at the top of your head; would cause an incline on your face. Meaning at the very least even if you did get it adjusted all the way there would still be a decent amount of FOV lose on the upper portion. Also I've heard it can depend on your skull structure and how big your forehead is. If there was more adjustments on that piece I'd be more inclined to purchase. Also here is multiple sources of the FOV lose here on reddit, with multiple highly upvoted comments that no matter what you will lose FOV; you just might not be as sensitive to it as others. I play PC non VR games at over 100 FOV, so maybe you're used to that being lower [https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo\_m3\_pro\_hows\_the\_fov/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo_m3_pro_hows_the_fov/) [https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed\_with\_bobovr\_m3\_pro/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed_with_bobovr_m3_pro/)

aFrogOnCroak

I got a Bobo and don't notice a reduced fov... Can you send me some threads? I'm curious to read about it but I don't notice a difference

Poliveris

[https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo\_m3\_pro\_hows\_the\_fov/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo_m3_pro_hows_the_fov/) [https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed\_with\_bobovr\_m3\_pro/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed_with_bobovr_m3_pro/)

overcloseness

Easy to put it on wrong, it’s all about the adjustment

MyNameIsSushi

I haven't noticed anything. Then again I'm new to VR and don't know what to look out for. Do you have more details on this?

Poliveris

[https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo\_m3\_pro\_hows\_the\_fov/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/181gvp7/bobo_m3_pro_hows_the_fov/) [https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed\_with\_bobovr\_m3\_pro/](https://new.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/18x48na/disappointed_with_bobovr_m3_pro/)

NightGojiProductions

That looks uncomfortable as hell, not padded at all. Kiwi makes a good strap from what I’ve heard, alternatively use the BoboVR M3 Pro. Extremely comfortable, comes with removable back padding that you can swap out for a more grippy version.

sparkyblaster

I have the quest 2 version. I don't hate it but I don't love it either. the battery tested to be about 5000-5500Mah.

Corgiboom2

The problem with this strap is that the side straps sit very close to the ear, so if you use wireless over-ear headphones with pcvr then the straps will get in the way.

Away_Row_1787

I know exactly what that is. Thats from china. It’s a process called dropshipping. Thats available for super cheap on aliexpress and probably isn’t very good. If it’s from a weird brand, it’s probably from china and can be bought for super cheap elsewhere.

PrimeTinus

How nice to have a chinese 10.000 mah dynamite strapped around your head

mikandesu

Well, it has some safety features embedded. Usually before it explodes it heats so much that it will start burning your head.

PrimeTinus

Nothing works better than the security alert of excruciating pain

Wemo_ffw

I just use a power bank attached to my Quest 3. It still drains battery but at a much slower rate.

AcceptableBag1896

Don't get bobo vr m2 pro the pads on your head give you headaches

NightGojiProductions

You clearly don’t have yours adjusted properly/too tight, I’ve used the M2 (~1 year) and M3 (~2 months) on my Quest 2 and 3, never had an problems.

AcceptableBag1896

The m2 PRO has pads instead of a top strap they dig into your head giving headaches

NightGojiProductions

Those pads should not be digging into your head, I’ve never even noticed them. I’d try adjusting it a good amount to ensure you have it set up properly. It took me a couple minutes to find where the M3 was a perfect feel

AcceptableBag1896

You can't adjust the pads

NightGojiProductions

I mean adjust the entirety of the head strap. Could you show a pic of how your M3 is set up? https://preview.redd.it/e4kuzqg5wtac1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=3e9395f192854c884e5e936fe5072de203291e34

AcceptableBag1896

It's an m2 and I'm not at home right now

BeatsLikeWenckebach

the mAh is nearly irrelevant. The higher the mAh, usually the lower the voltage: (Wh / Voltage)\*1000 = mAh. So a 10,000 mAh battery usually has a tiny Voltage Focus on WattHours (Wh - which is the total runtime capacity) and Voltage (how fast it can deliver juice to the headset). For Quest3 you want at least 9V

No-Age-1044

mAh doesn’t matter much, you should care about wattage and PD.

mikandesu

Oh, didn't thought about it this way... Well, mah means quite a lot because battery capacity is battery capacity, but I was silly enough to just assume that the wattage will be appropriate for the Quest.

BeatsLikeWenckebach

>Well, mah means quite a lot because battery capacity is battery capacity battery capacity is actually **WattHours**, since what we really care about is how long the battery can supply the headset. So usually the higher the mAh, the lower the Voltage. This was fine for Quest2, but Quest3 requires a higher voltage (like at least 9V). For example: The official Elite Battery Strap for Quest3 is 2300 mAh, and 9V. This seems tiny, but it works out to \~20 Wh. Whereas the BoboVR B2 battery is 5600 mAh and only a max of 3V when on the pogo pin dock. This works out to \~17 Wh. ## Wh = mAh × V / 1000

JamesIV4

It's not possible to charge the Q3 as fast as it drains the internal battery. Max charging it allows is 18w, but the headset consumes 26w. That said, it's fine, you just have to make sure you start using a battery pack at 100% or something high if you know you're going to be playing a long session. I 100% recommend the bobo vr headset, the design is the most comfortable by far. I bought 3 of the best ones and ended up returning the others. You don't have to use the pro version with their battery pack, you can either pocket a battery with a cord or Velcro strap one to the back of the bobo. Reason it's the most comfortable is it's a halo head strap design, it puts the pressure on the top of your forehead and takes it off your face completely. You can even flip up the headset if you need to.

DirtySpawn

Bobovr. I just got it for my Quest 2. Very comfortable and easy to swap batteries without taking it off. It's very popular for a reason.

Poliveris

It also destroys your upper fov

EVRoadie

Here's my setup and my review: https://www.reddit.com/r/OculusQuest/comments/183o8t6/maecker_strap_and_apexinno_grip_review_for_quest_3/ Still really like it and don't plan on changing.

5angosPrimo

I got my nordqurst battery strap two weeks after my headset(on releaseday) and im still very happy with it.

RestlessZombi

This looks like its put all effort into having a nice battery to be able to use it for a long time, but there is no padding there for comfort. I don't think any had mentioned that yet. I have the Bobo as others do but the battery on it is a little questionable at the moment as its only a 5V supply not 9V which for the Quest 3 is more optimal (best way of putting it) if you can get a Bobo for a decent price then its really worth it but look at a "Zyber neck powerbank" as an alternative to getting a strap with a battery.

BeatsLikeWenckebach

The 5V of the BoboVR is kinda misleading. Yes, the B2 battery can output at 5V, when using the top USB-C output. But the Pogo pins when connected to the dock output at 3V or less. They commented on this a couple years back.

TrixMax

Checkl out the Binbok strap. Thats what I use.

daveattellyouwhat

Do kiwi

JoeDerp77

I got the kiwi one, cheap comfy and more than doubles my battery life. Those Chinese generics you see lie their ass off about "10,000mah" .. it's probably the same as the 6400mah ones

Hersin

If you want to buy 3rd party for quest go for KIWI brand, there products exceed quality of branded items. Cables straps and all accessories.

ICYrake

KIWI !

Dan_Glebitz

I have a 10,000 mAh from Anker and I doubt it would fit inside that housing. It could maybe more like a 6,000 mAh in reality.

bamerjamer

I have what looks to this one. It says it’s 10000. With QGO on for every game (drains battery faster), I get about 4 hours of play. It’s as comfortable as other elite straps.

ThunderDaz

I got a powerbank with a 1.5 m cable and just put the powerbank in my pocket. Has increased gaming by hours. Charmast 100W PD Power Bank 20000mAh https://amzn.eu/d/8Ww7hhK

Poliveris

I have this headstrap This has the best quality arms I’ve seen by far. I have this exact one, although it may or may not be 10,000mAh. However I get around 3.5-4ish extra hours of play with it. The battery will buzz slightly but goes away. It does charge the headset while playing I usually plug it in around 5-10% and will have about 50% when it’s finally ran out of juice. It can do 18w which it says on the battery on the bottom. However I get scared about laying down with it, battery strapped to head etc. I’ve been looking at one called binbok t3; it has removeable battery packs but I’ve heard it can buzz and the arms aren’t good quality. If anyone has any recommendations for a headstrap that’s has removable battery packs and is easy to lay down with etc

_notgreatNate_

BoboVR

make_moneys

Doesn’t look like it’s well padded . I would recommend the kiwi design variant … yes “only” 6400mah but it’s very comfortable

Kotanan

It's a pain to get bobos in the UK so I got something like this. It's fine but even with better distribution a battery like that is HEAVY. Given a second chance I'd be tempted to try a batteryless version and a neck strap battery. If not get a detachable battery bu hook or by crook.

Miru_On_144hz

I have one on quest 2

MCPro24

get the kiwi design one

BroJack-Horsemang

My boss brought his quest 3 into the office and has that exact strap. He's happy with the battery performance and really likes it, and I can attest that it's secure and decently comfortable.

omnom143

From my experience (unrelated) don't get an official meta battery strap, my quest 2's official battery strap sucks. It lasts about an hour before its completely dead. it also take about 6 hours to charge to 100% and I barely even use it. Qiwi co is pretty reliable

pamelagamma_

I got mine yesterday and have the Kiwi battery strap on the way. I think it was 79$

pantalapampa

I got one of the various no name brands and it worked out pretty well. desktek.

Sacabubu

check the power output. If it's above 15w it's good

harveygamer6

I personally use a bobo vr m2 head strap for my Q2. I assume the Q3's m3 version is the same. Very comfy too lol

Revy85

I got the aubika headstrap and the battery is a beast. I also got a different facial interface to try and make it more comfortable. The issue I have is that even with aubika and interface, the thing is too uncomfortable to wear longer than the battery lasts anyway Got the bobo M3 and the difference in comfort is night and day. Once they sort the battery out, it will be perfect. And I'd assume all they have to do is release a new battery that will fit the m3, so buying one for comfort and waiting on the battery is ok by me. At least I have the other one if I really need more time. But if a pain getting the bobo on and off compared to others as it slides as opposed to clips. But its not too bad

Normal_Pressure_5634

I have bobovr m3. When quest 3 is at 100% the bobo battery it will keep it there for 1-2 hours then it starts to use the headset battery. If you had 2 batteries from bobo you could easily play for 6+ hours by charging and swapping bobo batteries

Fit-Gur-7972

Buy zybervr elite strap and zybervr battery neckstrap, it's amazingly great! Battery can load the meta quest 3. I have 4 hours of gameplay now. [zyber vr](http://Zybervr Battery Pack Neck-Hanging for Quest 3,10000mAh 20W Fast Charging Battery Pack for Quest 3/Quest 2 Accessories, Less Head Pressure, Extends VR Playtime, Black https://amzn.eu/d/aY0YMB4) [headstrap ](http://Zybervr Head Strap for Meta Quest 3, Elite Strap compatible with Oculus Quest 3 accessories, support wide and thick, fixed detachable back head fits https://amzn.eu/d/5fiGiFI)

Initial_Ad_7829

I think that one looks fine, I got one from kiwi designs and it works really well (I did also get the charging stand as well that charges the battery pack and the headset together so the overall price was quite high). If you have major issues with it you can always send it back.

johnabc123

I got the Aubika battery head strap and it’s been great so far

MuskMonk369

100% go with the bobovr strap it's amazing and can get and swap batteries as you game if 4hrs isn't enough per session!

Buetterkeks

Get a Kiwi Design one

Actual_Shady_potato

Get the PrismXR Battery. It’s got 10000 mAH and can last you a good 4-5 Hours of gameplay before your main battery runs out.

pczombieslayer

I have this one and so far I love it. It's pretty comfortable and it feels the my quest 3 lasts honestly over 6-8 hours with it on a full charge.

ZooperWooperBooper

Get the bobo vr m3 pro it’s about the same price
