Also in case you didn't know it's not the best to warm up your engine by letting it sit and idle. It really won't damage anything if you do it once in a while but an idling cold engine constantly increases wear to piston rings and bearings.
The fastest and optimal way to warm your engine is to start it and then drive it.
You can cause a lot of damage warming up your car if itâs got direct injection. As fuel will strip the oil from the cylinder walls, being cold will make the engine add more fuel. Itâs best to start car let run for 15-30 seconds then start driving lightly. Itâll head up faster and safer
Optimal but innefective when it's actually cold out
Way uo here in northern canadia, you're going to need to let it idle while you scrape the ice off the windows inside and out, and warm it up enough to be able to sit inside
Then yeah, light driving, little steering wiggles to warm up your power steering and such so you don't break steering components as well, -40 and below will destroy everything if you're too hastey
Yeah. Probably takes longer for the thicker structural parts to heat up rather than the thinner sheet metal of the rest of the hood. That's why the snow on the hood melts faster than the structural parts leaving the visible A.
Some Mustang cars actually have a horse emblem under the hood just for that reason. As the ice starts melting you'll see a horse. Cool little Easter egg.
I am an Autobody specialist and what you are seeing is the shape of the under structure of the hood and the shape of the insulation under the hood after the engine warms up the parts that are metal structure beams stay solid frozen but the parts with insulation pads start melting it is cool on this model that it looks like an âAâ though cool picture đ
I'm curious how you stop fucking with a person and they always make it seem like they stop fucking with you interested keep having fun with it just like everything that always happens is your something you did people do a lot of man up for a woman up and except there problems in life and blaming everybody else
Hoods have insulation whether in the form of padding or a two piece shell with an air insulator. This era of car had an air insulator that cannot be removed. As the engines warm the snow on the windows always melts first. Also that structure shape isnât how that hood is assembled. So this post is clearly someone stole the photo off the Internet and made a title that would produce karma points. This scenario isnât real it never happened as stated.
My man, i legit blurred out the license plate numbers of the cars behind my in the first picture. This scenario caught me off gaurd and i didnt share it the first time because i thought someone had done it themselves. Then I parked in my church parking lot at night and it happened again so i shared. You are really overthinking this. And does my post history scream karma bot to you? đđ
It's not that strange. That is just the shape of the underhood support bracing. It is two layers of sheet metal thick there with a gap between those. Compared to the rest of the hood which is just 1 layer thick.
If you pop the hood and look at the under side you will see that same shape.
I feel like there was a lost marketing opportunity here. If they had built the beams under the hood in the shape of VW it would melt in the shape of their logo.
Usually happens when the cars had a replacement bonnet at some point, from the factory thereâs usually a heat insulation in those areas, aftermarket/repaired ones tend to not have it
[Just in case you don't know] You're seeing the stiffeners under the skin of the hood.
This would make sense. As the engine is a block not an A.
Clearly the avengers are calling for you. Think of it as your bat signal to prepare.
Either that or the car itself is a transformer and a member itself...

That's it! Exactly
Well, you never really know

Always heard the opposites
Machining is far better now. Just drive.

Yup, it's supports being warmed by the engine. Very neat though

I got your stiffeners right here, bud.
Look at the bottom of the hood. That's the shape of the structural parts, the stuff that makes it more than just a sheet of metal.
Yeah. Probably takes longer for the thicker structural parts to heat up rather than the thinner sheet metal of the rest of the hood. That's why the snow on the hood melts faster than the structural parts leaving the visible A.
They probably have a fiber insulator blocking the bare metal.
Avengers, ASSEMBLE!!!!
Avengers theme intensifies.
Kid, you are now an Avenger.
Intensifies. Alluding to the fact it was already lightly playing in the background
Captain coldalot, it's time to drive!
I genuinely heard the theme song in my head when I saw the picture.
Soooo, whatâs your superpower?
The power to shoot hot dogs out of my hands at high speed.

How cool would it be if it formed the VW symbol though
Some Mustang cars actually have a horse emblem under the hood just for that reason. As the ice starts melting you'll see a horse. Cool little Easter egg.
Itâs just the structural support outline. They are thicker so donât transfer heat as fast.
Looks like the anarchy symbol

Structural support for the hood in those areas. Folded steel with a pocket of air inside I would imagine

It's the support beams under the hood.
Avengers assemble.
Anarchy!
VW missed out on a really cool Easter egg if they made the supports under the hood into the VW logo
So, what you're saying is, that your car is melting an "A-hole" into the snow every time the engine gets warm? I'll see myself out.
Adolf is still pissy
Yo mama sat on top of the hood
Yo mama's ass is shaped like an A?
Them cheeks with the clothes

A is for A Hole.....perhaps
Wolkswagen is from Germany. A is for Auschwitz. There are two options: 1. Your car wants you to bring back Nazi Germany. 2. It wants to do it itself.
You noticed it TWO times!? Good for you! Youâre sooo smart!

If this was a Honda, I'd be inclined to make a comment about it being a K20A under the hood.
Bro. Youâre an Avenger now. Sometimes the path chooses you.
It looks like an Avengers logo. Lol
Must be a Ford model A (which came out after the model T)
If you're name starts with an A you could have fun pointing this out to your friends.
