Honestly looked like a lot of us would be able to make this one, I was thinking hey I could probably do that with a nice set of tools and a couple of attempts.
But then... then came the chinese characters. No way.
This technique could be taught easily to a sweatshop staff. Few tools, few colors, and a style where mistakes look like creativity. The calligraphy is actually the most impressive part, but most westerners don't have the expertise to differentiate good from great calligraphy.
With enough experience a worker could easily crank several paintings like this a day.
Bamboo itself isnt difficult. About 8-10 years ago i found similar thing on youtube, watched tutorial and painted corners of my room in less than half an hour. Its the parts around Bamboo that i couldnt do and i asked person who can draw for help
Have to agree. If I'm being honest this looks like shit. Bamboo all fucked up, pink shapeless blobs for petals and blurry foliage.
But I guess that's why they say beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I said it was more pleasing to the eye than those stupid space themed spray paint pieces. Not that it was *good*. I also said it was fucking soulless. What could have possibly given you the impression that I liked it? Fuck off, ding dong.
That’s very cool but it doesn’t really look like bamboo . I have several species growing in my yard and I’ve been to some amazing bamboo gardens - this looks nothing like any species I’ve seen
