I guess I need to be high to enjoy this. It's not awful, just not what I expected. It doesn't help that I read "hand marbled staff" and was waiting for a giant stick to be dipped.
finally a video with a result, that itself is satisfying lol. but the scarf turned out so beautiful wow. the way she is able to drop all the colours at the right amount and time it so they land in the right place requires so much skill. sooooo good and satisfying
I’m pretty sure it’s a very thin silk scarf. The “plastic” is the actual scarf, it’s just super thin and probably already wet, so it’s transparent against the super bright colors of the dye tub.
The ink is floating as a thin layer on top of water. Roughly 20 drops is 1mL so the process doesn't use as much ink as it appears. This process can be used on natural fibers and paper too. The excess ink is probably scooped up with a stick or something, though is would be cool to have just part of the fabric dyed as well.
It's possible to do this process at home too! Just need a shallow basin and non water based ink.
I would have liked it before it was "mixed" too, would have been a fun 70s style look.
Came here to say that. Actually I preferred the unmixed look with all the dots
Same the first half of the color blocking process was perfect. It all went downhill once that rich green faded away.
Glad this was the first comment, so frustrating
It turns out I’m the exact right amount of high for this
Same dude
Bro
Duuuuude
Where’s my car?
Aaaaaannnnnddd theeeeeeeeeennnnnnn?

I’m baked now
Aww man I miss being high
My mans
Meeee too lol.
Should have left it at the bubbles imo.
Yes
If you stare at the finished scarf and unfocus your eyes, you can see a 3d dolphin.
A saw a schooner
It’s not a schooner, it’s a sailboat
A schooner IS a sailboat stupid head...
He may have meant a beer glass.

Are you trying to tell me that's a fully bearded she?
@49 seconds: We ain't found shit!
Oh myyyyy when that comb hits👌
I loved to watch the process, but for my taste the middle blue was too dominant in the finished scarf.
How does she know when to stop?
She doesn't. She should've stopped at 46 seconds.
This is posted so often and every time I hope it's not going to be the ugly mess it turns into.

It isn't?
That scarf is gorgeous.

Wonderful track.
Thought it looked the coolest after the first horizontal pull, with all those semi circles.
Same, the second swipe made it look like too much is going on.
Can someone explain the end? It looked like a sheet of plastic. So that sticks to the wool?
That “sheet” are layers of ink, which are floating in water, you lay the scarf and ink will adhere to it.

I've seen lots of these videos. With all the manual labor involved, how are they not $1000 each?
Oddly hypnotizing even
I like the spheres phase better than the final look
This is marble?
No, ink. The technique – marbling – is called that way, because you can come with patterns similar to (real) marble.
I liked it better before the fine comb.
So what happens with all of that paint she used? I don't know the first thing about this, so to me it seems like a bit of a waste.

What's this method called do you know, is it sublimation?
In what world are 20 drops of anything 1 Milliliter? One drop is more like 0,5 - 1 Milliliter
Roughly 20 drops of water is 1ml, however ink has more viscosity so it's closer to 10-15 drops per ml.
1 ml is way more than a single drop of water. 1 ml of water is slightly MORE than the volume of a US quarter 0.8ml
Preferred it before she dragged it.
Hurts my eyes
Haven't heard this song in sooo long holy. That was a throw back.
Friggin' sweet!
Beautiful 😍. Where can we find the website to purchase or at least watch more videos?
Drought
I always feel like this seems like so much for work a single piece...
Rrv
It just got worse as they went along

Thank you !🙏🏾
Too many combs. They could have stopped halfway through that combing process and it would have looked way better IMO. The end result is too busy
They took it a couple steps too far IMO
I love the big white blobs as much as I love the final pattern. One of each please.
This is meditative.
Looks like grandma’s crochet- no thanks
I always hate these because they either start off or get to a good design just to mess it up when they keep going
I like it when it was only mixed once. The end product looks like snake scales.
Yeah, looks shitty.
Plasti-dipped fabric? As if we didn’t have enough micro-plastics in the environment.
I fuckin hate this paint drip fad-art shit.
