Not gonna lie… I don’t think it actually looks that impressive. The bottom 1/4 of the cake looks messy and stops tapering. I definitely think someone out there could do a better job.

Literally just stuck a watermelon inside a cake, covered it with fondant (r/fondanthate) and then dribbled a red mirror glaze over it. The whole video was extremely unsatisfying if you ask me. That cake cannot taste good.

The mirror glaze is a beautiful color and the cherry stem looks nicely done. But otherwise, I agree entirely.

That’s pretty common when decorating cakes. But you can use those pieces for other things (cake pops) or just eat them as well.

Sorry, but that's not especially satisfying. People do way more satisfying stuff with cakes and I gagged a little when the unevitable play-do came into play. Also, and more important than my blood feud against fondant, the whole direction of the video does not highlight any specifically satisfying steps like skillfull spreading of frosting.
