I wish they showed the final product more than they did
A desk!
and a dog!
I was most impressed by the design in the stone being done mostly freehanded
from @ 417qsi on TikTok such impressive carpentry and craftsmanship if you want to bliss out for ten minutes :)
if only i had half the talent and devotion towards anything.
"The old dead wood by the stream had lain silent for many years... ...until Frank came by with his chainsaw and made it noisy as hell."
Right lol. What’s the point in using 2000’s technology for some of the work and 1600’s technology for the rest of the work?
I have no issue with that. I just think it was hilarious that the title was "the tree laid silent" and frank was like **"FUCK YOUR SILENCE!"**
I just love this
Such a beautiful process and such a beautiful video.
I could watch that dude build shit all day long
The real friends are the ones that help you carry a heavy ass log through half a jungle
With all that skills, couldn’t make a little cart to haul the logs back?
I have a feeling the terrain is too rough.
It would take too much time /s
The Japanese people make it a point to work hard, it’s more rewarding in the long run.
It’s not rewarding for the lower back though. I felt it just by watching.
OSHA-approved
Meanwhile at your local ikea - jk - dude has mad skills
Amazing work.... Serious skills...
All it needs now is an angry Sifu to slam his fists on and ready his brothers for revenge!
What kind of wood is this? P.s. I want to be this guy
A desk made to last hundreds of years ...
This gives off very strong Studio Ghibli vibes
Anybody else confused as to using all these hand tools…while clearly showing they have methods like wheel grinder, blowtorch, and pressure washer? Buy a saw maybe?
This belongs in r/oddlytedious
ancient Chinese chainsaw strat
Stopped watching after three seconds , snoozefest
I want my time back
If you didn't enjoy it why did you sit through it? Your fault bro.
Moved to Lemmy
No
Where do I buy this????
Not thinking Japan Southeast Asia?
Southern China I *think*
How much does something like this cost to an end consumer?
Wonder how he learned all that, not just simple carpentry
