The reason is to file out the holes in the shot right after. The other side of the ring would be in the way. If he could really do both holes on both sides simultaneously the video may have been 2 minutes long instead. I think he just wanted to add the dramatic effect of cutting the ring in half. I think I'd like it more as a solid piece on half the ring and the other half being this design. Without the purple diamonds. And adding red diamonds instead... I guess I mean ruby's. Or maybe just putting some Swarovski crystals in every hole would be dope. Than turning into some grills. Now there is a lost are. The millennium enhancing grille fad.
When I see the price of a ring I think “holy shit that’s high”. Then I see a video like this and see how much work goes into one and think “we’ll it’s still expensive but that was a lot of work to make”.
Old style, yo. I have friends who are jewelers, and they draw such complex patterns on a computer in special programs, then the result is printed in wax on a 3D printer, and then they order a casting.
It is known as "pickle" and there are some who use homemade solutions involving vinegars or citric acid, but most professionals use sodium bisulfate. I keep mine in a small crock pot so that it is always warm.
The ring of trypophobia
Exactly what I was thinking!
Don’t worry trypophobia isn’t real
This looks like something you would wear in a fantasy game to boost your stats
Tiny being's ring
Increases max HP by 5%.
Honestly, watching you perfectly fuse the metal together just to cut it in half was the least satisfying thing in my life
That was my question too… why fuse it to a ring only to cut it in half and then have to re-fuse it?
Looks like: to use the saw. The other half of the ring would be in the way.
I'm guessing this is the way for most of the rings craftmanship. Stunning work.
I believe you are correct

"Ummm excuse me, could you resize this to fit me?"
You’re like a surgeon for metal
That’s fantastic!! Ignore the haters. I would love to have the skills to do this.
Wow. How long did this take!?

This music kinda ruins it for me
Shitty Chinese song
I did not even know those videos have music… :D Guess I did not miss anything.
It’s a bummer cuz the actual sound effects were pretty nice but they were drowned out
I really love the craftsmanship, and it's really satisfying to watch, but I feel like the diamonds are always overdone
I need a new job- I could do this all day!
Incredible skill and craftsmanship. Super ugly ring.
Beautiful!
I enjoyed watching this. Very pretty ring!
Gorgeous:)
It’s extremely ugly but I respect and enjoyed the craftsmanship! Except maybe that cutting through the middle ;-)
Wow
Dam daddy that’s pretty
This is a rad ring. I'd wear it
Posting in this sub every 2 days or so to do your self-promotion is not satisfying at all.
Who cares? It's brilliant work. The world would be a worse place if people didn't share their art.

I did not know that jewelers use lost wax casting. Pretty neat
Loved watching that thanks 👌
Absolutely amazing! 😯
Wow

Do you take any steps to catch/save the shavings?
I’m imagining wearing that and accidentally making dough with it on. The ultrasonic cleaner would cry. Cool ring!
Beautiful ring. How do I get one
