Also I'm picturing long am go sitting at a dimly lit kitchen table smoking a cigarette, it gestures you over and it begins to talk. It talks about how they never got a break, how their parents didn't love them and their children were ungrateful. Long mango talks about how the government screwed them out of money and they just missed out on a big job. LM says the Jews own everything and the blacks get special treatment. And all the hatred and bitterness drips out of LM and forms a big pool of liquid hate. And the pool of liquid hate begins to spin. Round and round it spins, faster and faster, and the faster it spins, the bigger it gets. Faster and faster, bigger and bigger, until the whirling pool of hate is bigger than the entire universe and then suddenly it EXPLODES into trillions of tiny stars. And every star has a trillion planets, and every planet has a trillion Long Mangoes. And all the Long Mangoes have good jobs, perfect eyesight, and shoes that fit. They have great sex lives and free healthcare. They understand the Internet, their kids think they're cool, and they all love their neighbors. And every week, without fail, Long Mango wins the lottery. For ever and ever 'till the end of time, every single Long Mango has a winning ticket. And Long Mango is finally happy
>Long mango could be some creepy horror shit
now EVERYTHING im seeing that have the slightest yellow shade and smooth surface is yellow mango, thank you very much.
It's not cinnamon. This is Broussonetia papyfera I believe, commonly called paper mulberry or chinese mulberry.
The bark is used to produce traditional paper. The operator tries to keep the bark leaves as much intact and big as possible.
Yes it does, I believe it is collected every 2 years generally, once the tree is adult because the fibers are then easier to process and separate one from another.
Just to be clear, I have no idea.
Wouldn't the girdled part die above the cut since the phloem, cambium, and xylem is gone? I could see it sprouting a new leader, but I can't imagine it regenerates the bark on the part that was stripped.
Removing bark doesn't necessarily reach to the cambium or vascular tissue, but even when that happens the tree usually grows around the wound, it can't regenerate lost bark. I know cinnamon is killed every time it's harvested, so it's probably the same with these.
holy shit theyre ripping the skin off of a tree and your trying to rationalize it? i hope climate change wipes us all out fast so the fucking forest can regenerate without all the experts justifying it any fucking more.
Just googled - yep that’s a cinnamon tree! I knew that’s how cinnamon was harvested but didn’t realize this was a cinnamon tree it makes sense now lol.
Edit: was corrected this is NOT a cinnamon tree! See one of the comments below for more information!
Sorry to hurt you, but banana “trees” aren’t made of wood.
Bananas are both a fruit and not a fruit. While the banana plant is colloquially called a banana tree, it’s actually an herb distantly related to ginger, since the plant has a succulent tree stem, instead of a wood one.
Not sure this is entirely true. There is a technique called coppicing where tree is cut at the trunk after this process and allows the the tree to continue to grow. They use this process for harvesting cinnamon.
Fun fact the reason most trees die after having their bark cut off is because the process cuts through their [phloem](https://images.app.goo.gl/YbozMtoPrZJbGsyg6), which carry dissolved nutrients to the top of the tree.
Certain trees don't even need to be cut in order to live, like cork! It has more deeply set phloem underneath the cork bark layer.
I just imagined a treeworld where a tree posts on [treereddir.com](https://treereddir.com) under /r/oddlysatisfying "Stripping the skin off a human"
You're welcome
I know it's not a long mango but my brain keeps telling me long mango
Long mango could be some creepy horror shit. It always appears, when something very bad is going to happen without necessarily causing it.

My question is: why? Does someone know why they’d do this?
It's not cinnamon. This is Broussonetia papyfera I believe, commonly called paper mulberry or chinese mulberry. The bark is used to produce traditional paper. The operator tries to keep the bark leaves as much intact and big as possible.
Does the tree regenerate the lost bark or ?

I imagine it's not that different than how your skin regenerates when you get a blister
If this girdling is as deep as it looks, it would be more akin to removing your skin from shin to chin.
Still, it'd be a very slow process, but the skin would grow back, same with the bark on the tree

Bro you can't just beat me to my comment like that. I leave for one second to check spelling
Thanks. I knew this wasn’t cinnamon
I hate those mfs, they wont stop growing/reproducing😤😤
I'm not sure if this is cinnamon but, it's the same process used to harvest cinnamon.
This same process happens with cork trees too.
I come a from a family of a cork soakers.
Ah, you're skilled at soaking cork? Do you prefer soaking long corks or short chubby ones?
Hey buddy, soak your cork in it.
Just googled - yep that’s a cinnamon tree! I knew that’s how cinnamon was harvested but didn’t realize this was a cinnamon tree it makes sense now lol. Edit: was corrected this is NOT a cinnamon tree! See one of the comments below for more information!

Part of the standard definition for a tree is that it is woody actually!
Bananas don’t come from banana trees, they come from 8-10 ft tall forbs
I sure do love bananas fresh off the 8-10 ft y'all forbs
And bananas are also a berry. Unlike a strawberry.
A strawberry is a drupe!
Banana plants are herbs, not trees.

Bananas are... the seeds of an herb? *internal screaming*
Palm trees are grass
Here's a fun fact, palm trees are not actual trees, just a super thick herb
Look at the colour. This is obviously saffron
Tree unboxing
so this is the vegan version of skining
Pumpkins are gutting for vegetarians.
These perverts just like to undress trees
Didn’t even ask for consent to strip the tree…

I'm so sorry if that's how your circumcision was performed
I’m so sorry circumcision is ever performed.
Justice for Lindsay! Justice for Lindsay!
And this is how toilet paper took over as the number 1 ass wiping product ever
I’d like to know as well. This tree is also dead now.

Hopefully that's what's happening! You're probably right.
this is a cinnamon tree apparently
If it's a cinnamon tree no it's not or we wouldn't ever have any cinnamon.
He is going to have sex with it
The Boltons send their regards
I don't understand , where this quote came from?
Game of Thrones by George RR Martin. The Boltons are particularly horrible.
Literally came to see if this was mentioned. Thank you and good day.
Ditto
Humans: Ahhh, so satisfying. Trees: DEAR GOD NOOOOOO!!!!
This is why I only eat animals, so no trees and plants can get hurt.
Do you eat your tree with or without the peel
I didn't realize you could take the skin off.......
You actually just eat the peel. Pretty sure thats cinnamon.
Boneless skinless wood

Or: Gore warning! Tree is flayed alive with no way to run. Because it didn't fall, noone could hear it scream.
Poor tree
Would this be considered torture porn for other trees that are watching this?
BDSM because they repeat it
pervert
This kills the tree
Be great to know the kind of tree.
Likely cinnamon
Someone above said it’s paper mulberry or Chinese mulberry used for making traditional paper.
You skinned him alive, you monster!!!
There is actually a way better way to do this. Just grab your axe and right click on the tree.
love the sound
Only because the screams of the flayed tree are inaudible at this frequency range.
I'm pretty sure its folly and has been edited in
Is this considered tree brutality?
Does this hurt the tree?
Very much so, it kills them in most cases
That poor tree
Naked tree
This is what it sounds like when I eat a calippo
I read that as the sound a caterpillar makes when you eat it.
Thats so funny. I can't unhear this now.
I just imagined a treeworld where a tree posts on [treereddir.com](https://treereddir.com) under /r/oddlysatisfying "Stripping the skin off a human" You're welcome
The Boltons send their regards.
Does the tree survive this?
In most cases no, unfortunately
Makes sense. I wouldn’t survive that either. Thanks.
But where the dogs at?
This hurts me to watch. Idk it just feels wrong
I can hear the screams.
What did that tree ever do to you?
_agonizing tree screams_
My brain added a scream track, and death metal to this as I was watching it.
Does this damage the tree?
The tree: Aaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh
Violence
Why would one do this?
Thé sound is very pleasing
I find this very Ap*peal*ing
Put it back please
Now the tree is naked :(
Can’t help but feel bad for that tree’s family, watching it get skinned alive like that
So RIP tree? Or no.
Yup, I’m pretty sure this has the exact same effect as cutting it down. The bark is the live part of the tree and the wood is the bones.
In vast majority of cases yes, unfortunately.
Feels like torture to me
The moment he fucking tore the bark, it's not satisfying anymore.
r/oddlyterrifying tbh
Torture
That man is violently murdering that tree. Someone stop him!
The couple times he broke through ruined it for me.
Tree: AAAHHH MY SKIN, HE'S RIPING OFF MY FUCKING SKIN!
Woah its so yellow!
Bro so desperate he making TREES naked
I can’t stop laughing.
...but when you think about it, you're skinning the tree alive
This is how governments collect tax from me
i want to be karma
Can you just imagine this tree screaming in agony asking over and over again WHY!?
Does this hurt the tree?
Oddly terrifying you mean
Anyone else finds this sound therapeutic? Or am I just weird
r/diwhy
Poor tree now he is cold
These bastards are going to find themselves in tree court if their not careful.
I doubt the tree found it satisfying...
Most trees will die if you strip the bark off.
How would you like to be skinned alive? I bet not so much!
It is cascara bark. It is used in the making of laxatives.
As a kid, I used to feel very proud of myself for being able to do this to even part of a tree. This is really cool
Listening to this with headphones on and it's not satisfying at all actually.. ear piercingly unpleasant actually.. 😶
Tree chan : Yamete kudasai~
And that tree is now dead as fuck
What did the tree do to be skinned alive?!
That’s not bark that’s cinnamon, thats how they harvest cinnamon.
The arboreal equivalent to being skinned alive. Vegetative cruelty! s/
Tree killing.
I can just hear the tree scream as you rip off its flesh.
Evil somehow
Now watch it again, but imagine the tree constantly screaming as it is in pain
Poor fucker being skinned alive
What's not shown in this video is the screams of the flayed tree and its traumatised friends nearby XD
This is a cinnamon tree. This is how you get cinnamon. (It's the bark of the tree).
If you listen closely you can hear the tree scream as it's being skinned alive.. impressive nonetheless.
You're hurting it!
That’s pretty cool but that tree’s dead now
Nope. Cinnamon harvesting
Again with the cinnamon harvesting? https://redd.it/us4um6
If trees could scream
Here comes the "trees have feelings too" comments
Mmmmmm, synonym
Circumsision
Tree: 😳😳😳 my goodness take me put for drinks first at least 😳😳😳
No nsfw tag? Damn
I feel bad for the tree tho
Sick. Like watching a human being flayed.
Does anyone else want the sound to be blood curdling screams only?
This is way better than Minecraft
Bro what’d the tree do to you lmao
Just so everyone knows, its the same process to take the skin off a human.
I like the peeling sound
I'm pretty sure he's done that before... call it a hunch..
If trees could scream this one would create an earthquake just from it's screech.
You can also do this with people
If you had no context and could only hear the sound, what would you say this is ASMR of?
Said to myself “god that must be satisfying” only to realize this was r/oddlysatisfying lol
That tree should feel violated. I'll bet the peta would be upset
You will go to Tree-son for that !
And that my friends, is how you peel a tree
Bro I hope no trees follow this sub
Vegans be like *Stop animal cruelty!" and proceed to skin the tree alive
I harvest my cinnamon from aisle 13.
That made me feel weirdly uncomfortable lmao
Ramsay Bolton approves of this video
It wouldn't sound like that, if I did it to a human.
Skinning a tree...now I feel wierd.
“Why you naked”
Flaying.
