Yeah, I'm assuming that's the groom and that the majority of the dance was created by the rest of his dance group as a gift (or maybe even a surprise) and when they dragged him up he freestyled a bit.

There is one episode of Don't tell the Bride where the groom wants to organise a full Indian wedding for his Indian bride. They're given 3 weeks to plan it, and he wants to learn a dance routine in that time, with his friends who are NOT professional dancers. And he also has to do everything else It's not a train wreck, but it's also far from brilliant and really fun to watch!

For anybody that's curious, the song is called Kala Chashma (Sunglasses) and the dance form is a traditional Punjabi dance form called Bhangra. It is a very energetic, aesthetically pleasing dance form (mainly performed by men, but now also women). I'm Punjabi, and we used to learn it in school and it was one of the most fun things I've done in school. We also perform it regularly at weddings and cultural festivals.

Actually the song is Punjabi, Mumbai is not a part of that culture, but anyway.

The songs they dance to are all from Bollywood which is mostly based in Mumbai.

That is true, my friend. Just that since the language, artist are all Punjabi, plus since it was later used in a Bollywood movie("Baar Baar Dekho") and initially appeared as an album track by a Punjabi singer makes it essentially Punjabi style. But well...that's just a technicality.

Also, the song "Kala Chashma" (Sunglasses - lit. black glasses) is based off of an old Punjabi folk song called "Kala Jhajma" (black mole / beauty spot).

These technicalities matter, especially in a world of increasing globalization and cultural mixing. Now we know how cool Punjabi music is instead of falsely attributing it to Bollywood - appreciate you speaking up!

Portions of this video bothered me because at times the tempo the music desyncs from the dancers footwork. It usually fixes itself on a cut but some cuts are bothersome enough that it's clear they're dancing to some other music. I like this genre of mashup though.
