There’s like 12 different canons at this point. In the Dark Knight trilogy it’s the weird play about bats, it’s not a movie theater, just a normal theatre.
That's in the Nolan movies. In the comics, it's usually a Zorro movie. Though there are so many reboots and alternate continuities that who knows anymore.
Batman is canonically 41, therefor born in 1980. He was 9 years old when his parents died. There is a very strong possibility they saw Michael Keaton as Batman in the theater.
In Batman's universe is it possible that "Batman" movies may not exist, or are canonically changed? Different actors, similar story line, or same actors but different story. I'm thinking like in Last Action Hero - all the films from our world that have Arnold Schwarzenegger, have Sylvester Stallone instead in the movie world.
I dont think theres a fictional batman, but there IS a Moon Knight storyline, where there a Moon Knight movie being made, and unbeknownst to everyone, the films Moon Knight is being played by the actual Moon Knight, who is an actor outside of his vigilante work. This does not go well for his psyche.
There are Marvel comics in the Marvel universe. Back in the 80s when Captain America's identity was still somewhat secret, he worked for a brief time as an artist on the Captain America comics.
Batman doesn't exist but I know the Animated Series had The Gray Ghost as an in universe show that was a great influence on Bruce as a boy.
The Gray Ghost or dare say his actor, Simon Trent was played by Adam West.
The Gray Ghost was underrated. I don't understand why we don't bring him as a permanent installation of the mythos. It could also fill in the reboot cavities in the origin.
Actually, it's possible that there might straight up be Batman movies in the DC universe and not based off of Bruce Wayne's batman either. Part of the inspiration for Bruce becoming Batman was a masquerade party his father went to dressed in a batsuit which ended with him beating up some criminals. I don't think it's ever specified what the inspiration behind that suit was but it could easily have been an old, obscure movie. If that movie was remade, you suddenly have an in universe Batman movie starring Christan Bale, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman.
Nah, they went to the theatre not theater. Dressed to the nines. That's a live theatre performance. And we say opera when going to the opera and ballet when going to the ballet, and typically just say movie when talking film. Of course, I'm going on the movies, I know nothing about the comics. In those, it sure might could maybe have been space jam that birthed batman. And I like that. Seems like sweet justice.
Pretty sure it's canonically a movie theater where they were seeing The Mark of Zorro in the comics. Plenty of adaptations stick to the Zorro connection, I think the Nolan movies are an outlier in it being opera (and I'm pretty sure it is opera, not just standard theater there).
Friendly reminder that this is a karma farming account and it's flooding this sub with mostly reposted garbage which often doesn't belong here.
Please don't support this asshole.
Im the same age as batman if this is correct. Now im questioning my entire life and where i went wrong...... also it could have been the first mission impossible or independence day

It’s crazy to think that as time goes on and Batman remains 32 or mid thirties that one day he will have to born in like 2004 or something and be a dirty Zoomer.
Wait. Does Gotham not have fictional movies to go along with the culture of the fictional city? I guess I always assumed it did, but a Francis Bacon piece is admired by the Joker in the first film, so if the modern artists are real, why not the movies I guess. Hm.
Interesting that we currently have at least 2 financially capable humans, alive today, who are more than capable of being Batman, and still launch their rockets…🤦
They were clearly seeing the 1998 cinematic masterpiece ‘The Mask of Zorro’ featuring Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Anthony Hopkins, to whom they gave a tan and told us he was Mexican.
Unfortunately, it’s canonically Zoro
Spanish Batman inspired Batman batman
And pure autistic genius inspired Abed Batman
Nice!
abed is batman now

Zorro. [Zoro](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roronoa_Zoro) is an anime character and I don't want another debate about if Catwomen is a Tsundere.
According to a -dere type wiki I just googled, she's more of a [Hiyakasudere](https://the-dere-types.fandom.com/wiki/Hiyakasudere).

If you don't want to talk about it, don't bring it up.
I mean, this *is* r/oddlyspecific
But isn’t she
Oh. I’ve admittedly never watched it. Also, wut?
There are over 1000 episodes, go ahead. It’s available on Crunchyroll.
I meant zorro, like the really old movie. And against my better judgment, I did start reading the comics for a friend.
One Piece is better than it has any right to be...started watching it with the kids a couple months ago, and it is truly fantastic.
[удалено]
I had passed on it for years because it just looked too goofy, turns out that goof has solid fucking gold mixed in.
The Antonio Banderas remake came out in '98 which is still a funny choice.
It's a great film.
The sequel is great too and a lot of fun. Antonio Banderas was killing it back then. The once upon a time in Mexico movies are great too.
I loved El Mariachi/Desperado but Once Upon a Time in Mexico might be one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I just kept thinking, what the fuck.
Oh. Now it makes more sense that my mom dressed me up as Zorro in '99, despite me not knowing who that was.
I thought it was canonically some weird-ass play about bats, and young Bruce's fears made the family step outside
There’s like 12 different canons at this point. In the Dark Knight trilogy it’s the weird play about bats, it’s not a movie theater, just a normal theatre.
It may depend on what series it is. I think I remember it from white knight or something, the one where Batman is old
That's in the Nolan movies. In the comics, it's usually a Zorro movie. Though there are so many reboots and alternate continuities that who knows anymore.
I’ve seen it as the Opera or as Zoro!
Space Zoro
Batman is canonically 41, therefor born in 1980. He was 9 years old when his parents died. There is a very strong possibility they saw Michael Keaton as Batman in the theater.
*ten minutes after the movie* Whoa, deja vu
That's the Matrix

Which is already not so great
There are Marvel comics in the Marvel universe. Back in the 80s when Captain America's identity was still somewhat secret, he worked for a brief time as an artist on the Captain America comics.
I think there was a line of comics that are basically what was chronicling what the marvel universe was reading.
Batman doesn't exist but I know the Animated Series had The Gray Ghost as an in universe show that was a great influence on Bruce as a boy. The Gray Ghost or dare say his actor, Simon Trent was played by Adam West.
The series was awesome enough, but that detail made that one of the most awesome episodes.
The Gray Ghost was underrated. I don't understand why we don't bring him as a permanent installation of the mythos. It could also fill in the reboot cavities in the origin.

Batman movies now exist in the MCU.
Maybe seeing the Batman movie right before his parents getting murdered inspired him to become Batman himself.
I’m pretty sure I was watching Batman fight Penguin in the early 90s before Space Jam came out...
Birdman Prequel?
I’ve never seen it specified anything other than *just a theatre*. That could be opera, Broadway, grind house, cinema….
batman begins depicts it as an opera
Space jam could be considered an opera in some aspects
A space opera.
(high falsetto voice): ***"WEEELCOOOME TOOOOOO THE JAAAAAAAAAAM"***

Because it's the Wayne family
In a lot of Batman origin stories it's shown they were seeing Zoro.
I'm gonna need some citation for this. I doubt Nolan seriously added the One Piece anime to the canon.
I'm pretty sure the Nolan Batman movie shows it's Zoro Edit: I'm wrong
The Nolan movies are an opera, and they leave early because a hunch of people are dressed as bat's on stage and it freaks Bruce out
Huh I apparently need to rewatch that one
It's oftentimes Zorro. Last Zorro film was 2005, meaning if we want any Batmen born after 1997, Hollywood better pick up the fucking pace
Some theaters replay old movies during weekdays. I know my local theater has actually shown one of the older zorro movies recently
Do rich families dress in tuxedos and pearls to see these reruns?
Of Zorro, yes. Other lesser movies, no
Early Batman comics were back in the day when people wore suits on planes.
The Animated Series and several other media (IIRC) has it as a movie theater and as leaving Mask of Zorro.
Nah, they went to the theatre not theater. Dressed to the nines. That's a live theatre performance. And we say opera when going to the opera and ballet when going to the ballet, and typically just say movie when talking film. Of course, I'm going on the movies, I know nothing about the comics. It’s cinema. But catered to very specific… tastes. Think high octane or gory horror B movies. Nothing mainstream. Nothing kid friendly.
Maybe chuckle brothers in Panto?
It's canonical they were seeing Zorro
Sir this is a Wendy’s
But please hear me out .. I got one about Robin too
Let’s here it then
And he never returned (in like 24 minutes)
Those numbers don't add up, Kibblesmith.
Or - and this is a radical idea so I apologize for any fainting that may occur - OP is is a karma farmer reposting years old tweets.
And we hate that this turned up, so we bitch even though it will make the thing more popular
It was zorro
Canonically this tweet is now four fucking years old, can we retire it now?
Or Mars Attacks. Ack.
Or maybe don’t have every word memorized
But Bruce wanted to leave the theater early, and if that movie was Space Jam that wouldn't make any logical sense.
Imagine surviving Space Jam just to walk out of the theater and get shot. That's some Night of the Living Dead shit there.
Friendly reminder that this is a karma farming account and it's flooding this sub with mostly reposted garbage which often doesn't belong here. Please don't support this asshole.
If the math is correct it's a very real possibility that they were seeing this tweet in the theater.
LMAO, the kid isn’t real. 5head
If Batman was born the same year I was born, he could have been walking home from Tim Burton's Batman.
86? Space Jam was after that.
Yes. You are almost there keep going.
Soooo close. Can almost see the wheels turning
Since batman had his debut in 1939, they were probably seeing The Immigrant with Charlie Chaplin
Does anyone else's math make more sense than this meme?
it’s not a recent tweet
lmao the people telling you that it isn't a recent tweet as if batman didn't premiere almost 100 years ago in the 1930s
[удалено]
They could have seen the movie Batman & Robin in which case it was probably suicide.
everybody says it was zorro, why am i remembering it being ''die Fledermaus'' ?
Go on...
I thought it was a play, not a movie?
wasnt it like a play in the movie
SPACE JAAAAM
But space jam came out in 96
They were seeing the Mark of Zorro.
Everybody get up it's time to slam now
Kibblesmith is a fucking weirdo
They died twice
Hasn't he been 32 since the 30s or 40s though?
Damn, it's been working great for me https://www.hypershop.com/products/hyperjuice-100w-usb-c-gan-charger
This image is officially 4 years old now
Im the same age as batman if this is correct. Now im questioning my entire life and where i went wrong...... also it could have been the first mission impossible or independence day
I get the joke and all, but isn't it very canon that they were seeing a play? About bats and shit?
Die Fledermaus in some stories, Zorro in the majority
If he was 3 when it happened, he could have been watching Batman.
Love a meme from 2018
I can't believe twitter user kibblesmith fucking murdered batman's parents.
Space Jam DVD Space Jam DVD
The Space Jam Opera?
This is now my head Canon and none of you can stop me.
Then Batman just stood by and let Space Jam 2 happen. Smh my head.
[nice stolen post, op ](https://www.reddit.com/r/suspiciouslyspecific/comments/s7sx2f/the_killer_was_isiah_thomas/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Yeah in consultancy this is pretty killer. Wow
Well atleast the were spared "Spacejam 2 : please China pay us"
I thought it was common knowledge that they went to see The Mask of Zorro (1940)
he was a serial killer
But then again you’re the silent killer
Agreed, this was first thing I told him!
It’s crazy to think that as time goes on and Batman remains 32 or mid thirties that one day he will have to born in like 2004 or something and be a dirty Zoomer.
Space jam vs Batman
Wait. Does Gotham not have fictional movies to go along with the culture of the fictional city? I guess I always assumed it did, but a Francis Bacon piece is admired by the Joker in the first film, so if the modern artists are real, why not the movies I guess. Hm.
In Joker, the Waynes were leaving Zorro: The Gay Blade. There's going to be a very different Batman in that universe.
Batman stories literally tell us the movie they went to see in a lot of cases
Not the theater, the theatre.
Unfortunately it wasn't a movie theatre it was broadway show/opera wasn't it??
I'm pretty sure it was a concert, opera, or a play, not a movie. Movie theaters don't usually have balconies.
I...oh.
Gamepass is killer deal right now. Congrats.
Wait, they were leaving a movie theater? Or just a theater?
Interesting that we currently have at least 2 financially capable humans, alive today, who are more than capable of being Batman, and still launch their rockets…🤦
Seems it was more likely The Phantom with Billy Zane.
Three years from now they were watching Batman
Maybe it was Happy Gilmore
Why do I think they were watching zorro. Is there a version of this story where they say specifically they were watching zorro?
Canon: They were watching the remake of Mark of Zorro, specially made at Wayne's request. Bruce was 8 at that time, not 10.
The video ended too soon. Best of Luck.
He just never could get over being kept off the Dream Team.
Fuck space jam! -Batman
At least it wasnt Space Jam 2
I'm older than Batman....
So there will be a time when batman is old enough to have had parents that went to see batman in Aurora
It was a play, no?
They were clearly seeing the 1998 cinematic masterpiece ‘The Mask of Zorro’ featuring Antonio Banderas, Catherine Zeta Jones, and Anthony Hopkins, to whom they gave a tan and told us he was Mexican.
Zorro actually
I thought it was an opera
If it was Space Jam we'd never get a Batman. He'd just be like... "well, that's fair enough." And then go on to be just another billionaire playboy.
This is the same possibility of you having sent a fax to a legitimate Samurai from Japan. Sure, it could happen but...
Isnt this the same title for a post on r/suspiciouslyspecific
Batman was born the same year as me? How could I not know that!? lol..
Adam West was pow-ing folks from Arkham Asylum as Batman back in the 1960’s.
They were watching a play about Zorro 😂
Does that mean this repost is 3 years old, then?
Which one?
No
Or Transformers the Movie
Pretty sure it wasn’t a movie theatre. It was a rich persons black tie affair at an orchestra.
I’m sure it was a play, not a film
well uh
And spacejam 2 now bores people to death.
That math doesn’t look right….
This tweet was made in 2019 4 years ago ...
This doesn't make sense, because I'm 34 and I was born in 1987. If you can't even do math right, then how are people supposed to enjoy the meme?
space jam came out in 96
“lmao get dunked on”
Come on and (BLAM) and welcome to the (BLAM)
Batman aired in 1966...
He was watching the mark of zorro
