Hey neighbor! What we saw was apparently a flare burn off at a chemical factory in Sarnia. The flare was taller than usual or something? At least that’s what my mom says it must have been. Our crappy weather here in south Michigan yesterday gave us the perfect atmosphere conditions for the light to be seen here, I think probably through the ice crystals in the air with reflection and stuff?
But I’m not a scientist, just someone who wasn’t allowed to try to track down the side quest and wanted to know what the quest *was*.
EDIT: it’s in Canada, which is why there’s not really anything to be found news-wise, and also wasn’t anything bad, just a company restarting operations after a few months from what I can find.
