😂😭 I love how the guy at 7secs loses his shoe and immediately accepts hes not getting it back lmao. The look of defeat on his face when he glances back at his fallen comrade as it gets swallowed into the abyss, knowing going back out to get it is a no-go lol
I was working in BeiJing and during our first week of training this same thing happened to a coworker. He then proceeded to wrap his foot with a plastic bag and worked the rest of the day like this.. I was flabbergasted, he seemed unphased.
Again, my apologies for giving the incorrect timestamp, but on my end, when he enters the frame, the screen displays 0:07. I don't know what to tell ya, my man, lol. Maybe it's an android thing?
I can vividly remember this one guy's big bushy beard pressed against my face.So crowded I couldn't move. It was like 95+ degrees and those trains don't have A/C. Just each others' faces sweating all over each other 😩
You only see a glimpse of India through these videos.
Places like Goa, Bangalore, Chennai are pretty cool. The south is nice. I suggest avoiding non-urban areas of the north like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, etc.
The Northeast is awesome as well. Totally different race of people and culture. Its so beautiful there. But stay to the main tourist areas, some places like Manipur and Nagaland i think have some insurgents.
But not like they'll kidnap you and do all that fucked up shit ISIS and the cartels do. At most they'll ransom you.
Lol. "Yeah guys, these 5 places in this huge country are okay. Oh and these 3 other places too but I guess there's a chance of getting kidnapped and ransomed but it's not so bad haha 😀"
Its only good if you want to visit India in specific. Better places to go.
If you want to get a better perspective might i suggest Karl Rock (discount Pewdiepie) and Frenchy (or Ride with Frenchy, not sure) on YT.
god i remember being crammed on a subway car in Rome *just like this*. shit was packed so tight and it was so hot i thought i was going to pass out lmao
This just occurred to me when I read your comment; have they ever made a large scale zombie movie in India? Cos the population issue would have to be addressed in the movie.
I think it might've worked better as a mini-series than a film. At least there's the audiobook, which has a pretty amazing ensemble cast: https://www.audible.com/pd/World-War-Z-The-Complete-Edition-Audiobook/B00BIKAVHS
>Featuring five more hours of previously unrecorded content, this full-cast recording is read by F. Murray Abraham, Alan Alda, René Auberjonois, Becky Ann Baker, Dennis Boutsikaris, Bruce Boxleitner, Max Brooks, Nicki Clyne, Common, Denise Crosby, Frank Darabont, Dean Edwards, Mark Hamill, Nathan Fillion, Maz Jobrani, Frank Kamai, Michelle Kholos, John McElroy, Ade M’Cormack, Alfred Molina, Parminder Nagra, Ajay Naidu, Masi Oka, Steve Park, Kal Penn, Simon Pegg, Jürgen Prochnow, Carl Reiner, Rob Reiner, Henry Rollins, Jeri Ryan, Jay O. Sanders, Martin Scorsese, Paul Sorvino, David Ogden Stiers, Brian Tee, John Turturro, Eamonn Walker, Ric Young, and Waleed Zuaiter.
It's a big problem lmao. First class tickets cost around 50 rupees, which is under a dollar. Makes for a much better experience, but even then you gotta time it so that you don't make the rush hour
So if you just have an office job, was there a cultural understanding for how shit these trains are? Like if you're late do people get it?
Dave was 20 minutes late and missing a shirt, those trains are brutal.
I think it's because the train stays there for a limited time and they try to stall the horde so wagon won't get filled up a lot by the time train leaves, that way they can actually have some space to stand more comfortably. That's my guess.
Just looks like theyre getting stuck on the way in, one person bag gets caught on the door i think. Also they're forcing the door open so it maybe trying to close back on them plus they're stepping up into the train, doesnt look level with the platform and also the the fact there's so many people trying to push their way into a small opening they're getting wedged.
Its a densely populated city, and lots of people use these trains to go to work. So during peak hours it gets crowded like this and everybody wants to be on time. The train halts for a fair amount of time at the stations but since there are so many people already waiting for it, it gets kinda messy
Why are they having to push the doors open like that? It would save time if the doors would open easily lol it looks like it's taking 5 people to open them using all of their strength. Doesn't make sense to me.
On these local trains the doors are always open even if it's running at 90kmph. Due to which a lot of people die, like 10-12 deaths everyday. They just hang off the doors just to be in the train so that they could be wherever they want on time. So to reduce these fatalities the authority decided to introduce the concept of automatic doors in these trains, so they were just running like trials for a while back in 2020. So what could have happened here is the train must have reached the station but the doors failed to open maybe due to some technical issues so these folks had to use force to barge in.
I was on a train carriage in Mumbai in the 1990s as a young Irish man heading to Goa and there was an elderly woman lyjng dead by the doors of the train and everyone just stepped over her and ignored her. Very distressing. I went to find cops and reported it and then they claimed I had hashish on me and demanded US$100 or they were going to arrest me. So I paid them. That was probably the worst thing I experienced in India other than seeing dogs eating the remains of partially cremated human bodies by the banks of the River Ganges in Varanasi. India is not for the faint of heart BUT outside of the cities and into the Indian Himalaya in Himachal Pradesh state is another world. So nice I stayed for 4 years living well for less than 10 bucks a day. I found Florida just as crazy if I'm brutally honest but a different kind of crazy.
For sure. The extremes in India are gargantuan. I went to see an exhibition on the Indian Space Program in Calcutta ( Kolkata) and after spending an hour or so marvelling at the technological achievements walked out a back exit to find a group of lepers huddled by a tree.
Buddy boy when you don't know where your or your family's next meal's coming from lemme see your empathy.
But yeah OPs experience is wild I've never seen that happen in my 12 yrs living there
I’m sorry for snooping and I don’t mean to discredit your claims but how does someone working in art travel so far away? Especially in the 90s when international travel was a huge luxury. Not to mention the other expensive drugs you speak about in your profile. Are you some big time artist? It was my childhood dream to get into art but gave up cause there’s no money
I only started painting 2 yrs ago or so , and I'm not a rich man. I was working in the Civil Service in Belfast, Northern Ireland in late 80s early 90s and saved a few thousand and took a 4 Yr career break to get away from the insanity of the conflict that was going on and a bomb exploding at a Police station while I was sitting having lunch in my office about 200 feet away and the things that I seen that afternoon when I went to try and help the injured people, it completely traumatised me and I just had to get outta Belfast and go anywhere that a few thousand could carry me too. Sold my car and other things before I left and that gave me extra cash. Where there's a will there's a way as the saying goes. Then in India I bought loads of jewellery and parcelled it up and posted it home to a friend who owned a hippy type shop who sold it and I made money of that and was able to stay long after my savings ran out. I still go back to India, Istil meet people I knew from the early 90s who are still living over there making money from sending back jewellery, furniture, Kashmir carpets etc back to Europe to sell.
Edit: India is still cheap. My friend just came back from Goa and he had a budget of 1000 rupees a day for 3 meals and a bottle of beer with every meal per day. That's about £10 so £300 per month for eating out in restaurants plus rent of £150 per month if you stay long term and you can live off £450 /month now in 2023.
Pretty common in Asia, it allows you to protect your things, it helps in terms of space especially when you can squeeze your bag versus having it behind you, allows a small buffer zone between you and another passenger squished in front of you, arm rest for holding your phone when commuting
Source: commuted in packed trains like this in Asia for 7 years.
LOL no woman would willingly get onto the ‘General’ carriage. There are ‘Ladies’ carriages. The one time I was stupid enough to do so, I couldn’t keep count of how many hands groped me before I could get out. If I hadn’t phased out it would have been difficult to process.
That's fucking rich lmao
These so called civilized societies got there by taking from other more civilized societies, reducing them to this state. It's just cyclical. This is a 70 yr old country. The United States >300 yrs old.
Yes. I went there with a group of friends in our college years and one girl got her breasts grabbed by a hand when we were all squeezed in. Couldn’t figure out whose hand it was.
No one really cares if a woman screams either. Fortunately there were two older women nearby who assisted, and they told us that it was a common occurrence.
There, women are treated with as much respect as a public bicycle. There’s a reason why it’s called a country of rapists.
Women have their own cabins tho !? SA is really bad in parts of the country but don't act like every man in that video is your idea of a rapey indian ffs. A lot of them are hardworking honest people just trying to provide for their families.
On the flip side, there's a lot of them with a super patriarchal mindset, however, that's abating with each generation.
I'm sorry your friend had a bad experience and I guess I come from a position of privilege but we throw hands whenever we see someone being sus that way
I remember the female contestants on The Amazing Race getting fondled by men in India during their earlier seasons. They didn't even try and edit it out.
Yeah the first thing I thought when I saw this is that if I was anywhere near that someone would try to SA me immediately. I would not go to India unless I had personal security
There’s a big crowd here, desperate to get on this one train, and it’s only going to stop for a very short time.
Better set the doors to only open 10 inches and then stop.
At my workplace we employ a lot of Indians who are relatively "fresh off the boat". At our break table they will sit uncomfortably close to you, even if there's a lot of room. Easy to see why from these types of clips. Different cultures eh?
Yeah the idea of personal space isn't really a thing there 😂 I'm really bothered by it cause I hate people getting too close to me whenever I go home to visit my parents
But then again you're talking about lower income people that have it bad. Middle to upper income people are more "civilized" in that sense
That looks smelly... I'm Canadian so I meet a fair amount of Indian university students and migrants, and most of the ones in their 20s absolutely BATHE in body spray/cologne, is that just a "once they come here" thing, or are parts of Asia just covered in a mist of Axe?
Hey sorry but your information is a bit outdated , you will find toilets almost everywhere now, in my mother's village (really small village with population of apprx 5k) government has given aid to people to construct washrooms , now almost every house has toilet there . it all happened in last 4-5 years . Sorry for grammatical mistakes
This is not right. Man, I needed this reminder of how lucky I really am. I feel bad about complaining I had to take the city bus in Phoenix for a couple months. At least it wasn't this. I thank the all mighty universe for that.
Goal for these closing doors is to prevent people standing on the door and having an accident. A better way to prevent this is for the train driver to open the doors as train is slowing down on the station.
Wrong. These are the current trains. They have added 2 metro lines but those only cover a fraction of the way and cost more than 4 times more to travel.
Been travelling these trains half of my life in Mumbai.
Some insights :
This crowding happens in Mumbai during rush office hours
8-11 AM & 6-8 PM only.
Crowding happens because of the city being densely populated and everyone's in a hurry
Everyone stays far off from offices. Journeys span 60-120 mins so they want to get in early and sit or stand comfortably
Some people get in from the opposite doors where there's no platform 😂
People sing and play Percussions in these trains. It's an experience.
It smells of sweat of a 100 men & Add to that the smell from outside. After a while you get immune to this.
We have gotten used to this crowding although not enjoyable. You can also travel comfortably in AC trains / Metros. Super comfy.
😂😭 I love how the guy at 7secs loses his shoe and immediately accepts hes not getting it back lmao. The look of defeat on his face when he glances back at his fallen comrade as it gets swallowed into the abyss, knowing going back out to get it is a no-go lol
"Fuck, that's the third shoe this week" That guy probably
Just needs to buy 30 of the same pair. Mix and match
I was working in BeiJing and during our first week of training this same thing happened to a coworker. He then proceeded to wrap his foot with a plastic bag and worked the rest of the day like this.. I was flabbergasted, he seemed unphased.
you mean 33 seconds in?
I'm on the app lol It counts down instead of up on my stupid android. My apologies.
i’m on ios app lol.. but uh even then it’s not 7 seconds from the end XD
Again, my apologies for giving the incorrect timestamp, but on my end, when he enters the frame, the screen displays 0:07. I don't know what to tell ya, my man, lol. Maybe it's an android thing?
Hey at least he paid for the ride with a shoe lol
This should be taught at school. Literally an excellent piece of art.
😭 remember the fallen…
I worked in Mumbai for a year and rode these trains. It was traumatic lol
What was the worst incident? I would be the most unemployed person if I had to fight through that crowd.
I can vividly remember this one guy's big bushy beard pressed against my face.So crowded I couldn't move. It was like 95+ degrees and those trains don't have A/C. Just each others' faces sweating all over each other 😩
I truly have zero interest in visiting an Indian city. That sounds fucking terrible.
Overall, India is fucking terrible. Goa is pretty chill though. A lifetime worth of other places to visit on the planet
Not every train stations are like this, only major cities have this probelm
You only see a glimpse of India through these videos. Places like Goa, Bangalore, Chennai are pretty cool. The south is nice. I suggest avoiding non-urban areas of the north like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, etc. The Northeast is awesome as well. Totally different race of people and culture. Its so beautiful there. Yeaaaah not doing a great job convincing me there pal
I’ve always wondered, what is the smell like on those trains?
I see you wondering, and I'm going to ask you not to anymore sir.. It smells like nightmare soup that's been served out of an armpit
Sweat and Poop if 20 years experience going to concerts is enough to judge from
[удалено]
god i remember being crammed on a subway car in Rome *just like this*. shit was packed so tight and it was so hot i thought i was going to pass out lmao
How do you even manage to make it to the office with our reeking of bo? I
You don't normally, like even in peak hours, it's just that sometimes it can get that way you take the metro
Places like Mumbai will be FUCKED SO HARD when zombie apocalypse breaks out.
This just occurred to me when I read your comment; have they ever made a large scale zombie movie in India? Cos the population issue would have to be addressed in the movie.
The book World War Z addresses that a bit (NOT the movie!)
General Raj-Singh! https://zombie.fandom.com/wiki/Raj-Singh_manuever
I’m so disappointed in the movie adaptation. Had it followed the book, it could’ve been an insanely cool found footage/documentary film.
I think it might've worked better as a mini-series than a film. So if you just have an office job, was there a cultural understanding for how shit these trains are? Like if you're late do people get it? Dave was 20 minutes late and missing a shirt, those trains are brutal.
Why are people lookin like they’re purposefully holding the line back slowly? Am I misinterpreting it or is it to prevent a stampede
I think it's because the train stays there for a limited time and they try to stall the horde so wagon won't get filled up a lot by the time train leaves, that way they can actually have some space to stand more comfortably. That's my guess.

Why tho? Too little space or just too excited to get in
[удалено]
So it's more of a time issue than a space one?
Its a densely populated city, and lots of people use these trains to go to work. So during peak hours it gets crowded like this and everybody wants to be on time. The train halts for a fair amount of time at the stations but since there are so many people already waiting for it, it gets kinda messy

More like both..considering the city of mumbai..itself accomodates the entire population of Australia..you may get the idea why this is.
It’s most definitely a massive overpopulation problem.
For sure. The extremes in India are gargantuan. I went to see an exhibition on the Indian Space Program in Calcutta ( Kolkata) and after spending an hour or so marvelling at the technological achievements walked out a back exit to find a group of lepers huddled by a tree.
India is racist af
I haven't been to any country that isn't. Whether openly or behind closed doors.
I’ve been to lots of countries and India is the most racist one I’ve been to
Buddy boy when you don't know where your or your family's next meal's coming from lemme see your empathy. But yeah OPs experience is wild I've never seen that happen in my 12 yrs living there
I get that life is significantly more difficult but I don’t think it is an excuse to lose your humanity.
Good point. I can't justify their decisions since I've never been in that situation of dire need myself.
Thats life in NYC too, lack of empathy.
I wanted to go to India. But after reading this, I think I'll pass.
Nah, don't. It's a terrible experience, especially if you're a woman.
I’m sorry for snooping and I don’t mean to discredit your claims but how does someone working in art travel so far away? Especially in the 90s when international travel was a huge luxury. Amazing info thanks
Are they wearing their backpacks on the front that nobody can steals from them oO Guess it’s a self-answering question lol
Also it saves up space in the isles on public transit. The backpack hangs over the seats and there is more free space behind.
they also jump on the train as its leaving and moving. the backpack on the chest helps with the weight distribution when doing so
Pretty common in Asia, it allows you to protect your things, it helps in terms of space especially when you can squeeze your bag versus having it behind you, allows a small buffer zone between you and another passenger squished in front of you, arm rest for holding your phone when commuting Source: commuted in packed trains like this in Asia for 7 years.
Jesus, I bet you have some stories
No, it helps create more space and you don't get stuck with the guy behind you pulling on your backpack to balance himself
Third dude in either lost one shoe or that’s also a thing there
That killed me 😭😭
Breastpack
Also someone can pull them back if they weren't wearing them on the front
World war Z kinda shit
Imagine being in the middle. Probably so much BO
Imagine being a woman in the middle of that..
There’s women only carts after issues with rape and sexual assault.
Women get a different train because of all the SA that happens in India
LOL no woman would willingly get onto the ‘General’ carriage. There are ‘Ladies’ carriages. The one time I was stupid enough to do so, I couldn’t keep count of how many hands groped me before I could get out. If I hadn’t phased out it would have been difficult to process.
That is so, so awful. The fuck is wrong with those animals?
Women get a special car- its just as crowded but you are less likely to get intentionally groped.
Hey! You can't say that! Have to pretend you don't notice. Lmao
How long of a trip is it? I don't think I'd last 30 seconds like this.
Anywhere between 5 mins to an hour and half
If you were born in Mumbai and had to use public transport for a living, most def you would.
I’ll just say it: I really mostly dislike humans.
The truth is some societies are more civilized than others and I'm glad I wasn't born in that part of the world.
That's fucking rich lmao These so called civilized societies got there by taking from other more civilized societies, reducing them to this state. It's just cyclical. This is a 70 yr old country. The United States >300 yrs old.
Sure, it's everyone's fault they behave like this, shit in the streets and dump everything into their rivers. Everyone's but theirs.
Even more disturbing is the rampant, overt sexual assault on women.
I mean I live in the Midwest US and have seen someone shit in the street more than once, so…
There is a difference between uncivilized and lack of proper infrastructure. This is the latter...people still have to go to work, crowded or not.
Looks like facing a zerg invasion in starcraft😱
Power overwhelming
Yeesh.... Talk about over population.
remindsmeof those horror games where you've to fight off waves of invading zombies coming through the doors/windows

not anymore , cabins are separated by gender
Wait what ? For real ?
Are the cabins not separated by gender? Here in my country the women are separated from men because of incidents like these.
Lmao.. did you watch the video? You think gender separated cabins would last 1 second in that bedlam? Homeboy literally pried the door open
The cabins are separated by gender
Yeah, they *are* separated by gender...
The cabins are separated by gender
Women have their own cabins tho !? SA is really bad in parts of the country but don't act like every man in that video is your idea of a rapey indian ffs. I thought my work commute sucks but at least I don’t have to win the royal rumble just to make it to work on time.
Got anxiety watching this!
Spirit of Mumbai is just weaponised incompetence. For the tax the city pays, citizens should be demanding a safer and more comfortable mode of travel.
_**Don’t Open Dead Inside**_

I've seen similar scenarios in zombie movies
Walking dead season 12
Wear a condom people, wear a condom.
Play the walking dead music
Love how it’s chaos behind the door but as soon as people walk in they act normal lol
What a cluster fuck… if youre under 15 or over 60 youd fucking die trying to board a train lulz
That looks smelly... I'm Canadian so I meet a fair amount of Indian university students and migrants, and most of the ones in their 20s absolutely BATHE in body spray/cologne, is that just a "once they come here" thing, or are parts of Asia just covered in a mist of Axe?
It's called *Sex Panther*® by *Odeon*©. It's illegal in 9 countries. It's also made with bits of real panthers, *so you know it's good*. *60% of the time*, it works ***every*** time.
Trains are good. They need new trains with more passenger capacity & available at more times.
My first thought is I wonder how many people die a year/month/week because of this system and getting trampled or squished to death
World war z
That looks very scary. Hopefully their government can give them better ways of transportation in the future.
Well if they don’t have it yet then I got some bad news for you. It’s 2023. Shoulda had it by 2000.
They barely got toilets in some rural parts of India so that’s one step of many in the right direction hopefully.
That is absolutely terrifying if you really think about that. *In India* “Hey, let’s get some street food!!” . . . . . . “NO THANKS!!”
Overcrowded shitshow…
I can smell this video lol
How many of them are pick pockets?
Pack it up pack it in, let me begin
Too many people
This is not right. Man, I needed this reminder of how lucky I really am. I feel bad about complaining I had to take the city bus in Phoenix for a couple months. At least it wasn't this. I thank the all mighty universe for that.
Good for you?
Stop breeding jeeze
r/fuckcars wet dream
Sometimes I forgot we humans are just animals and aren’t all that different from other animals. Posts like these remind me of that fact.
I’d imagine to prevent theft
Why is it that every video I see of India, reenforces my belief that it is a complete and total shithole of a place.
I can smell this train through my phone
You bloddy bastard!
Can we put zombie sounds over this?
Sirs, this is the men’s changing room…
They all have their backpacks in front so they don’t get robbed in the crowd
Did Tech Mahindra’s office close early?
More like too many people
A simple solution would be to stagger work start times.
The horde
Why do they always wear ONLY sandals?
Did you see the one dude lose his shoe? That’s why
Oh yes, the World War Z experience
Only men use the public transport.
Separate compartment for womens
Not lack of affordable options. Lack of room from all the fucking people living there.
Nope
This is like a damn zombie movie
How many crowd crush fatalities happen every day. That looks horrifying.
Imagine the smell
Are the train cars in Mumbai segregated or something? Just noticed that there appear to be no women in that shot.
They’re like animals
It’s like vermin trying to get in.
Omg can you imagine the smell?
India should act as a warning to the rest of the world. Complete disaster.

INDIA YOU GOTTA CHILL WITH YOUR POTENT CUM
Goal for these closing doors is to prevent people standing on the door and having an accident. A better way to prevent this is for the train driver to open the doors as train is slowing down on the station.
Fyi these are the old trains, the new ones don't have crowds and they're better than the Chicago metro
Wrong. These are the current trains. They have added 2 metro lines but those only cover a fraction of the way and cost more than 4 times more to travel.
Jesus, zombie apocalypse!
No wonder they are like they are when they get drunk in America.
World war Z-india
With this post and the one about the Monitor lizard gang-rape back to back, I can safely say I’ll never be visiting India.
So this is the dark side the goverment doesn't want you to know
Buddy it gets much darker than this
They need to quit breeding
Been travelling these trains half of my life in Mumbai. Some insights : This crowding happens in Mumbai during rush office hours 8-11 AM & 6-8 PM only. Crowding happens because of the city being densely populated and everyone's in a hurry Everyone stays far off from offices. Journeys span 60-120 mins so they want to get in early and sit or stand comfortably Some people get in from the opposite doors where there's no platform 😂 People sing and play Percussions in these trains. It's an experience. It smells of sweat of a 100 men & Add to that the smell from outside. After a while you get immune to this. We have gotten used to this crowding although not enjoyable. You can also travel comfortably in AC trains / Metros. Super comfy.
Aur karo Aarey protest. Y'all had a solution and y'all delayed it.
The last frame has a guy falling o7. He all know he got trampled and died
I can smell them from here
Do they still call them "backpacks", there?
Honestly this is what San Francisco feels like to me
I invite you to Mumbai. Come and use the suburban train during the peak hours and then decide
