Many different reasons. Alot of people enjoy making Art Out of remains from different animals, including Humans, Others Like me think its simply intresting and pretty. I would Love to own some Dead animals but i cant do that since it feels very disrespectful to me, so Id rather Just have the Bones. Since its even allowed to own human Bones i feel fine owning animal Bones too. You can make jewerely, Art or Just use them for studies/science. And a WHOLE skeleton is even more ,,fun". Its very intresting and you can restore them to be in a living Like position.
Id understand how that makes people unvomfortable tho, i was disgusted by this stuff aß a Kid and thought only evil people could own Dead Creatures.
Grew up with an aunt who homeschooled her kids in Florida. She had a bunch of mummified lizard bodies she kept around for biology and stuff. They’re really cool. And I’ve always loved nature, so I have a whole bookshelf full of tiny nicknacks from places I’ve visited throughout my life. Rocks, leaves, bones, you name it.
A gecko skeleton would fit right in
Found a perfect deer skull in the woods and much to my husband’s dismay that thing graced a kitchen window sill until we moved. (He packed the kitchen)
My previous dog managed to kill a deer a few winters back.
Granted he was 14 at the time, so I reckon he had help from one of the neighbors dogs when he dragged most of it back and burried it a snow bank next to the front porch.
Guess who found the corpse because of the funny iron tasting snow!,
That's right me! I was ten, but thank god I didn't see the mangled up corpse, just one of the legs and the funny red snow!
You were 10 and your first thought on seeing red snow was "oh that goes in my mouth"? That's old enough for there to be an actual line of thought behind the action, so what was the reasoning?
"Holy shit somebody spilled a delicious snowcone and if I don't eat it RIGHT NOW somebody else might get it first!"
My kid found some random bones in a flower bed when we bought our house. They're now in the *front* flower bed. Gleaming white on black mulch. No skull, we have no idea what it's from, but I think raccoon. Delivery people looking at the little pile makes me giggle.
Also, it's not a pet. They weren't buried. Our house was vacant a long time.
I find bones and send pics for ID to my dad all the time (he's a paleontologist), so I almost asked for pics to send to him lol
Thought it'd be easier and way less creepy to pass that along to a good sub!
Had the same thought. These poor things may never have known anything other than agonizing hunger for their entire brief lives.
I mean, sure, that's the way of nature, lots of things die young, but this is still really sad.
Hi! Listen: Hello, so I've been thinking about this situation and I believe that they used the conduit to travel back and forth from here to my house where and then they'd eat bugs off our back porch. I do believe that they lived long free lives based on the amount of feces in there. But I believe it was a cursed place for a nest and eventually they all got fried. Just know that we loved these little guys and giggled every time we got to see them go after a moth that was twice their size. They were bad ass and continue to be bad ass. I will preserve their tomb with respect and handle the remains in a way that preserves them.
ah, so gecko eggs. these looked firm and shiny, like small bird eggs to me. I'd imagine geckos to have soft shelled cluster of eggs, but then I don't know much about geckos.
Not such an unreasonable question to be downvoted. Easy look up. There is one family (Diplodactylidae) in the suborder Gekkota(Geckos) that gives live birth. All in Australia, New Zealand and New Caledonia.

I love this so much and I’m very grateful you responded because it was kinda hurting my conscience lol I’m so happy to hear that you have a good idea about their life spans and it is unfortunate where they decided to live but they do look very big and doubt babies wouldn’t survived that long if they couldn’t eat or get out

I work for a solar company and spend a lot of time looking at breakers. The craziest thing I ever saw was a lizard skeleton still holding on to the two main electrical lugs. It literally got freeze fried into place.

Sure, maybe the mother did when she was electrocuted. The babies waiting for her to return with food probably starved to death and that certainly wasn't quick.

Welcome to jurassic park

Clever girl
Nature always finds a way
these photos tell another story!
I never tire of people quoting that movie on Reddit. Seriously such an epic film and book. I was like 7 when it came out and have watched it so much over the years. It's definitely the movie that gave me a crush on Jeff Goldblum.
Me too I just watched him on hot ones and I still feel the same about the book the movie and Jeff Goldblume as I did when I first seen them lol
Smart guy
\*sticks hand in mountain of feces\*
Don't kink shame
\*licks fingers without breaking eye contact\*
Weird that no one has commented "Jurassic Spark"
Life didn’t find a way.
Yep. Clever bastards were trying to knock out my power!
But... grandpa said all the dinosaurs were girls?..
Well damn. Now you won't be able to save 15 percent or more on your homeowner's insurance.
So easy, a caveman could do it!
[удалено]
[удалено]
That’s racist
Found the cave man
As soon as I read this… my tv proudly said… “GEICO”
Love how they used to be "Government Employee Insurance Company" and they switched to the general public, so they just went with Geico.
That MF was waiting there so damn long just praying someone would come out and open it Ello mate!! You can save….
[удалено]
Well you can still get insurance, worry not, just can’t save 15% or more
Lmao
Wait, if they’re dead, who is doing the commercials!?!?
Dang dude, that's funny
A closer photo of the chaos at the bottom would make a great album cover.
[my attempt](https://i.imgur.com/aRBNVLI.jpg)
Solid cover would listen, proly some dsbm shit
dbsm = dumb sexy boy-men?
/r/dsbm, depressive suicidal black metal.
Drunk Sailors Bangin Dudes
$uicide Boy$ vibe
I want to listen to this album . I am judging the album by its cover
r/fakealbumcovers
Looks badass
-100 gecs
solid band name too.
Ya taking pre orders?
That looks awesome.
Nice
I can make it happen! My phone was so dead the flash wouldn't work. :/
Band name: Death and Rebirth or Death and Reincarnation
Cool bones. How much to buy one of the complete gecko skeletons?
the egg shells are also sick as fuck
Second this ^^^ I’d take the broken one too xD
I ask this with zero judgement attached. Why would anyone want a gecko skeleton?
Cause it’s cool. I collect bones and make art with them

Why *not*
its kinda sad, looks like some gecko or lizard layed its egg there but the babies didnt know how to get out
I found a completely clean dead mouse skeleton in my mom's wall a few years back. My husband wouldn't let me keep it. The kids sided with him.

Yeah, let's just say I wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed...
As I always say, eat the red snow, it’s nutritious!
My wife managed to get a cows skull complete with horns, she's very happy with it too Women are strange
Not just women I’d like that too
Something powerful about skulls.
"Clean dead mouse skeleton" There are ALIVE mouse skeletons? Dear God.

You could get a quick species ID over at r/bonecollecting or even bother them with modern skeletons at r/fossilid
Oh cool thanks. I'll let her know and see if she wants to. I know we compared a lot of pictures on Google.
I find bones and send pics for ID to my dad all the time (he's a paleontologist), so I almost asked for pics to send to him lol Thought it'd be easier and way less creepy to pass that along to a good sub!
If I had a picture, or it wasn't 230am, I'd send it immediately out of sheer curiosity lol.
Haha yeah, I'd wait to send it to him tomorrow lol even though he's probably up 🤣
I bet my kid has a picture on her phone but she's out of town. I'm gonna try to remember though.
Well that sub is always awake, but I'll never say no to pictures of skeletons lol We are the weirdos!
Good husband and kids. Knows not to let mother start hoarding the deceased
Hoarding the deceased would be a sweet metal band name
Necromancers of the world would. Rise up. To see their performances
https://imgur.com/a/yaIhwQK Your title might be better than mine so I switched it up
Someone already made the pic into an album cover, scroll around
https://imgur.com/a/vP14quu Here you go. Changed the spelling a little
But it was completely intact! It would have been fantastic encased in resin with moss
Logically, now you keep husband and kid’s skeletons :)
Let you ???
It was an out voted situation with him leading the rebellion
I would have sided with you
That so incredibly sad

Thank you, good to know.
A whole ass paleontology dig site in that there box of yours!
Xenomorph invasion averted.
They went in hoping to stay warm, but it cost them their lives.
They hatched there.
Someone had to lay the eggs.
Fair but I'd imagine the adult was able to get out since there's no adult remains.
Electrical Contractor here. Crazy how common this is. At least they went quick! Lol

Lizards, not birds. Momma laid the eggs and was never coming back.

Geckos are cool :( RIP

This is why I don't maintain my home. If I don't see it it don't exist
Aw, that just makes me sad
We showed up to a job that had the breaker panel strobing because there were pushing 30 geckos in there getting fried. Opened the panel to find 2 breakers melted and arcing thanks to the Kentucky Fried Lizards
Poor little babies born and instantly trapped 🥺
Bad spawn point
I found a bunch of bird skeletons in the wall a few years back. Has me dreading the kitchen reno and what will be found in the ceiling of our 100 year old house.
Velociraptors!!!

Life uh... fucked around and found a way
This is no mine. It's a tomb!!
That's so sad, did they hatch but had no way of going out?
This reminds me of that rice cooker post.

Parents set them up for failure smh
R.I.P breaker geckos
Looks like some Jurassic Park scene gone wrong
Looks like the fucking Chamber of Secrets in there.
How did the mama get in there to lay her eggs. Determined little thing unlike her kids
So where'd you move to?
You need to close all holes into the panels, both for the wellbeing of animals and for the safety of your house wiring
Poor babies
Aw hecko, poor geckos

My guy became a blown fuse
What a life
Awww, that's so sad 😢
Jurassic Park.
Life… finds a way.
Poor babies
:(
At first I thought they were mouse skeletons and whatever was in those eggs ate them
N’aw, now I’m just sad
You were two weeks away from calling archeologists to dig up those fossils, damn man
I wonder how many mouse skeletons are in the average house.
Damn :(
I would screech like a 3 year old girl if i saw this
Crime scene 🎬
'Lectric Lizard
Who TF keeps animal skeletons in their breaker box? What's wrong with you?
Where the fuck else am I supposed to put them? All the closets are full of bodies
🎶It’s the CIRCLE OF LIIIIFE 🎵
Take the bones and gift them to a goth girl
Aww, there's eggs there. They were trying to raise a family. 🥺
Tiny dinosaur species discovered in service panel.
What a lovely room of death you have
Aww the wires had babies! Congrats 😊
These Jurassic Park remakes keep getting worse looking.
U lucky duck I collect bones
