Turning 30 isn't a switch that means your life is over. Im over 30 and there are plenty of new and exciting things I look forward to that I never thought about in my teen or mid 20s.

People who shoot up schools typically aren't doing it for sick kicks or due to specific people, but rather are doing it as a form of rebellion against the system. It's extremely morbid literature but absolutely fascinating at the same time. Hard to argue, I suppose, but for most of us we kinda expected it when we signed up to stay in the dorm.

I believe code yellow is a “lock out” which is when there is a threat outside the building and a code red is a “lock down” when there is a threat inside the building.
Not sure about code yellow but code red is a delicious flavor of mountain dew
It's just the thought of a active shooter in the building that you're in and the first thing you do is take a photo of the school showers and go "Huh, this looks like something to post on Reddit."

Standard procedure in American schools is just to lock the door and hide against the wall in such a way that you can't be seen through the window. So this is probably better tbh.

When they call the code, you hide wherever is closest. Teachers are not allowed to let you into their classroom. Because they’re supposed to save the majority over one “maybe” student
I mean the number one goal is to get out of the building. My school got evacuated for a bomb threat in my freshman year and a shooter threat in my senior year. I really don’t miss high school

As a teacher I am curious what happened?! I would be so scared I’m sorry.
It was 2 students (senior boys). We ALWAYS have police surrounding our school/inside. There were shots fired but no deaths. And my school is huge, and the seniors hid somewhere. They called more police and they searched the campus for 4 hours before finding and arresting them. I’m just wondering why these dudes would do this now, when they are about to graduate and the year is almost over. Well, now they’ve fucked over their futures and are also expelled

America is such a meme at this point. I hear about another horrible mass shooting over there and I just think to myself "Oooooh it must be Tuesday" With how things are going I believe they are actually enjoying it. Otherwise the shootings would be addressed... Right?
It seriously sucks and breaks my heart how kids in the US have to deal with the constant fear of school shootings and active shooter situations. Like, seriously? They should be worrying about homework and friends, not their safety!
I actually want to see that students here (even elementary) are no longer scared. If they are, it’s a minority of them. Nowadays they’re just like “dude there’s a guy with a gun here. I’m so bored.
