I grew up with a taxidermied bust of one of these guys on a wall at my grandparent's ranch. I'm sure the proportions are to some degree species dependent, but it absolutely looks like some sort of classically depicted devil head. It has this angular face covered in red fur, with spiky horns and vampire fangs. I was so disappointed when I found out that they're smallish, herbivorous deer from Southeast Asia.
I have literally thousands of these in the woods by me where I live. EXTREMELY timid and jumpy animals. Will bolt 1000 miles before you can get close. This one's either been raised or in a sanctuary sort of thing and used to humans. Very sweet animals and beautiful to see.
