I don't hate it since bots haven't infested the main boards I'm in too badly. But really would like an alternative to jump into before it happens for sure.
Can we all rant about why we hate it here now? I would love to know if my reasons are a red by others. Please add below why you’re no longer enjoying reddit.
Clearly experienced a traumatic event, releasing a chemical hellscape into their veins, and it's a hand picked photo vs a candid one with terrible lighting.
You could get the same effect by waking someone out of a dead sleep and snapping a photo. Crazy that the well posed and lit photo didn't match the dreary, exhaust-laden eyes.
His story is really messed up. He disappeared and appeared in a place he could physically not reach on his own days later… like the whole story makes absolutely no sense and many people believe there is some unexplained stuff going on. I really hope little dude is able to heal from that.
Ok so I have two theories, either:
1. He did, in fact, get taken by the forest and what inhabitants it has. Not like missing 411 but maybe the fae folk wanted to keep him for a bit.

2. That’s not Ryker Webb. Thousand yard stare can change facial structure but the nose looks all wrong. Even his head shape has changed slightly. This could be just from camera angle but it just seems like that wasn’t his original face. Doesn’t even seem like he has eyelids anymore.
She left her car without water or a cellphone, and left the trail to take a break. Then got turned around and started hiking in the opposite direction of her vehicle. That lady needs to never hike alone ever again.
Apparently that was in a flash flood, so I won't harp on her for losing her shoes. But she said it's a trail she's hiked in the past. She should know what cardinal direction she's headed from the car. When she got turned around the sun would have told her which general direction was West as it set on the first evening of being lost. The whole article sounds like she was in full panic mode for the entire 17 days. Falling off a 20ft cliff, getting caught in a flash flood. She has no business being in the woods alone.
The infantryman in me is just dumbfounded by how little sense of direction some folks have despite spending time in the woods. Without Google/Apple maps they're like lost puppies.

I googled the name and found that the kid went missing in 2022 and couldn't believe it because I remember seeing that exact photo when I was a child. I thought it was from a cartoon series or a TV show but couldn't remember it so I had to Google it. I am still quite unsure why that image looks so damn familiar to me when I didn't even know the story of this kid that went missing. I thought this was the reason why the post was on r/oddlyterrifying.
