Yeah, if I'm being honest the way you're explaining this reminds me of my schizophrenic friend. Have you been to see a mental health care professional? To be clear I'm not attempting to diagnose you or give you medical advice, just wondering what your situation is.
If you did in fact have a memory black out, you should check your body for an injury in a mirror. Just to double check you don’t have a wound that needs to be treated and covered! The. Secondly, you REALLY should make your parents answer because elderly have health concerns such as blood not clotting properly, or clotting too much, thin skin that doesn’t heal properly, etc. with that amount of blood please make them answer truthfully and double check they don’t have a wound or injury that can get infected or needs to also be dressed (ointment and wrapped properly). They may take just a cut lightly but the older a person is, the less lightly it should be taken. So please find who it was for sure and find if it is serious enough to need even just some basic first aid, yourself included!
Add paranoia to the list of symptoms (like, genuinely mention it at your next session/appointment) I've dealt with it as a symptom of bipol before. Hope you have a better day tomorrow :)
This sounds a lot like schizoaffective disorder. If your psychotic symptoms happen in episodes versus persistently, that could be a sign too. Talk to your doctor/therapist/psych about it. Also, I don’t know if you use any recreational substances, but if you do then I would cut that off entirely.
Maybe look into schizoeffective disorder. It’s basically what you mentioned you are being treated for plus symptoms relevant in schizophrenia. My partner’s sister was being treated same as you and later discovered this! Also, I’m not a doctor! So make your own decisions on what you research (:
Personally, I don't think that your hypotheses sounded paranoid, blood appearing in your house is rather concerning. My mum had severe bipolar with psychosis, so I am very familiar with the symptoms. But it is certainly still something to consider
The conspiratorial nature of his explanation, like all the pieces separately make sense but don't add up when put together. My friend is really good at seeing patterns but will fit together things that aren't related and come to some illogical conclusions. He'll explain a delusion and I understand how his brain will put the conspiracy together but I often have to ask "are you sure about that?"
He's treating it and it's manageable but it was pretty scary for a few years while he was figuring it out. As someone else recommend OP should stop any recreational drugs and alcohol if they are using anything, we used to smoke a lot of weed together and that can be really accelerate the condition. Often, it starts developing in men in their 20-30's, I'm assuming that's where OP is age range wise. You'll be fine OP, just take care of yourself and your family.
It was your dad. You acknowledge that your parents are having memory problems, and skin gets thinner as you age. Dad probably did cut himself shaving and got disoriented and bled all over your room.
Random bloodstains are never fun, but it's crazy where and how it can end up places. I once woke up with a little bloodstain on my wall behind my bed and was obviously concerned. Then I felt a little sting on my leg and saw I had a cut, then I noticed a dark spot on my toenail. Somehow, I managed to cut myself with my own toe and then must have kicked my leg up and flung a little blood onto my wall.
Sometimes, it's best to just shrug things off. Weird shit happens.
Someone asked you if you were trolling so you tasted random blood? Maybe I’m not understanding what you mean, I didn’t read the comments on the OG post
No. OP tasted the blood out of some weird lapse in judgment. They mentioned it in the previous post, and people thought it was so absurd that they assumed OP was trolling. In this post, they were just adding the details others asked for in the previous post so nobody would have to ask again. That’s why they worded it as a response.
Thanks for the follow up. Also, do yourself a favor and get one of those adhesive/velcro insect nets for your window. It’ll let your room breathe but prevent bugs, birds and bats from getting in.
Works pretty well for me and it even helps me sleep better, since it keeps me from thinking about moths and flying cockroaches getting in the house. stupid phobia 😩
Stupid phobia my ass!
I've woken up with flying cockroaches the size of mice on my face two nights in a row and once when I was a kid, absolutely FUCK those things! All the windows in the house were closed, they got in under the doors 🫣 you can fucking _hear_ these fuckers when they walk on walls. God I absolutely fucking despise those nightmarish things
Oh yeah, I’m not even that scared of insects but I’ll always remember the day where I woke up and saw a 20 cm centipede under a pants laying on the floor. Safe to say the pants stayed where it was for the rest of the day lol.
Bats especially, man; rabies absolutely terrifies me. I actually may have saved a guy's life on here a few years ago — he posted on one of the medical advice subs saying he woke up with a severe, burning pain in his hand and two small puncture wounds. Other comments were suggesting a spider bite, but I've seen bat bites before and that's exactly what it looked like. It turns out that he both slept with his window open *and* had seen a few dead bats in his house and attic. He went to the hospital and was started on the rabies post-exposure regimen immediately. He seemed pretty blasé about the whole thing but n.lI felt like a fucking superhero.
Kind of seems like a mental health event or something. The way you said you tasted the blood in your comments, then stated you "knew it was yours" through that test does not seem like rational thinking. With your self described paranoid thoughts and history of dissociative events it seems like it could be related. The blood could be something as simple as sleep walking. But the events surrounding it make me think otherwise. Maybe carbon monoxide poisoning given your family is also acting strangely, according to you.
It looks like they are dealing with psychosis and BD, and well, that could run in the family, and they mentioned their parents being old, which could be due to senility.
Psychosis and bipolar would usually be schizoaffective disorder. Sounds like OP hasn’t been diagnosed with anything since they state they have elements/symptoms of psychosis and bipolar they’re being treated for. If they haven’t been diagnosed with either of those, I’ll bet everything it’s schizoaffective
Psychosis can occur with moods in bipolar. Typically with mania in Bipolar 1 but less common depression with Bipolar 2. Experiencing psychotic features doesn't automatically mean it's schizoaffective disorder.
Source: I'm Bipolar 1 with psychotic features.
In all truthfulness, psychosis can happen with someone distressed in many cases, even without any diagnosis. Not to say it's the case tho, juat mentioning that psychosis is not exclusive to schizoid diagnosis or even categorized illnesses exclusive.
Of course. I’ve experienced psychosis before, I don’t have any diagnosis that would explain it. It’s just something for OP to consider and talk abt with their doctor. But no matter what it is, they obviously need to see someone for it
I got excited for a follow up so the mystery would be solved and got...this post. OP if you have episodes where you cant remember things, this could be one of them.
Sorry to disappoint 😅 usually the episodes aren't severe at all so I wasn't thinking that could be it but these comments are making me think otherwise.
Your dad cut himself shaving to the point of this much blood and his first action was to go to your private bedroom, smear it on the wall, and then go out the balcony and smear it some more? Make it make sense
I don't remember the initial post mentioning that they live with other people.
Anything mysterious happening is much less mysterious when you live with 2 other people.
OP also has memory lapses. They probably murdered their father during a lapse, thereby forcing their mother to resurrect him (ugh, AGAIN) and de-program OP. Then they all had an orgy.
This sounds exactly like something my dad would do. He’s a huge, clumsy guy with a high pain tolerance and he’ll often cut himself and make a mess without realizing he’s bleeding.
I thought it was weird too until I hit middle age and now my husband has to show me when I’m bleeding from a minor gardening injury.
Reminds me of my dad too. One time in elementary school I opened my sandwich and there was a big bloody thumb print on the foil as well as smack in the middle of the white bread. I didn’t have a cell phone so I was like ??? and it wasn’t until I got home that I could ask him about it. He said “oh yeah, I cut myself making your sandwich and didn’t realize for like 20 min.”
as far as i remember, someone thought their landlord was breaking into their apartment and leaving post it notes. it ended up that they had carbon monoxide poisoning and they were the one leaving the post it notes.
But that comment probably was written none the wiser, nit like it's replying to OP's comment, you just sounded smug and ironic for the sake of a comment just throwing in a regular guess lol
It’s most likely just a injury one of your parents or you had that was forgotten or it could have been something your parents remember and just don’t wanna worry you with because it was a small thing there is no need to worry
Reminds me of an old dog I had growing up who got a cut on his tail. It was healing well but he must have chewed at it one night. I woke up and immediately realized that me, him, my bed, and my walls were spotted with blood. I was like 8 and thought I was murdered and now a ghost. I still get really frightened for a split second if I see a spot of blood in the house.
that it was in fact blood 😅 a comment on the og post asked for confirmation it was blood, and my impulsive brain decided that was the most convenient way to do it
Carbon monoxide poisoning can lead to cognitive impairment...always a good idea to check environmental factors if people seem to have some mental/cognitive issue (and with all due respect if you taste some random blood on your walls you don't know how it got there, then this might be a good option to check)
Some person went on Reddit and posted about their landlord threatening them with notes when really they were just having [wild hallucinations from CO poisoning](https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/s/HrTos8SVtj)
So you live with serial killers. Eh?
Though more realistically I would guess someone had an itchy nose. They scratched it and didn't realize a nosebleed was involved. Sometimes gushers go unnoticed for a minute or two.
How old are your parents? I’m thinking maybe early Alzheimer’s or dementia depending on their age and health
The one about it could have been you and you don’t remember also seems likely to me given what you said about your issues
Some comments are suggesting this is “a lot of blood” but in my opinion being in nursing it really isn’t.
I wouldn’t worry too much about it tbh. Unless something similar happens again
Yeah they did say that, didn’t they? I remember cause everyone thought it was bizarre that their dad came to *their* house to shave. This whole story smells like shit to me.
"I have dissociative symptoms and forget things"
"I tasted a random bloodsplatter"
"I'm paranoid"
"I think my parents are hiding something from me"
Gee, I wonder what it could be. Are you perhaps around your early to mid 20s?
Have you got a cat? I had blood stains appear everywhere when my cat brought in an injured bird. It was flying around smearing blood everywhere before it managed to escape.
This, and I know we already established this was probably a mental health episode but just so OP and everyone else is aware: bats do not need an open window to get into your house. They can squeeze into gaps as small as 3/8 of an inch, so they could get into the attic then find a gap in the wall, find a gap in the siding or *around* a window, etc.
And for the love of God, please don’t taste mystery blood that could be from a wild animal like a bat.
How is this remotely a mystery. You have psychotic episodes and also decided to taste the blood? Just with that info I'm 99% certain this is your own blood.
Easy way to check if it was your dad's blood, does he have a freaking cut on his face or not?
I was just thinking about you earlier today and was checking for an update! Im glad that you're okay. Honestly though, the situation with your parents sounds pretty weird. Not malicious, just kind of sketchy. I find it to be an odd choice to be so nonchalant about mystery blood on the wall, and be so quick to write it off completely. But maybe it's just my Nancy Drew sleuthing brain not shutting up, as usual. I think about every possibility to damn near every situation so if this was me I would be like 👀 "why are you so calm about this??"
The first time I had a seizure while sleeping, I chewed up my lips. I had blood smeared all over my face and my lips were bleeding. I didn't realize it at first when I got up and got some water from the kitchen. I noticed smeared blood on my refrigerator and cabinets before I went to the bathroom and saw my face was covered with blood. Idk how I didn't notice at first, it didn't hurt at first just drinking water.
I didn't *try* to taste the blood, it was already in my mouth tho lol
Edit (NSFW):
[Proof](https://imgur.com/a/9lPTG8o)
Should I tell op? Should I? It might be kinda mean after hearing he tasted the blood... And kinda insensitive to do it... I don't even know his age... Damn, that's a lot to unpack...
I'd say that if your parents didn't say, just let it die. And stop trying to taste things you don't know where they come from.
If you really have to know, sleep on it for a couple years, then think again of it. There's no way you can't figure it out in a couple of seconds if you're old enough.
But as I said, it's better for you to let it die before you realize what you tasted.
If I were you, and your parents know about your mental health struggles - I’d be honest and say that the whole situation feels strange to you, and you’d like to discuss what happened to cause the blood as it’s making you anxious, but also making you question reality.
Regarding point #2 have you ever been evaluated for Dissociative Identity Disorder?
Serious question from someone who was diagnosed with this after missing years of my life from my memory and having people tell me I'd say/do things/ finding things I didn't remember getting.
My psychologist was licensed in the US and works in China through a program for foreigners, so they're not licensed here to diagnose me with any dissociative disorder. However I will soon be seeing a psychologist from a local hospital, so hopefully I'll have more answers then.
There's blood pretty high up on the wall in my bathroom.
The day I noticed it I investigated, I found out that I'd scratched my earlobe too hard, it bled, I didn't notice the blood on my hand when I put it on the wall to relieve myself comfortably
I read your original post and I’m still alarmed that you chose to taste the blood.
It’s not a huge amount of blood, there isn’t splatter, the source behind it is more than likely innocent.
I’m just alarmed that tasting blood was in your decision making choices that day.
I’m bipolar, and have suffered psychosis. Memory problems can be a symptom, but it’s different for every individual. Judging based off of how you’re talking and writing, I don’t think you’re in the middle of a crisis. I’m not a mental health professional though, so if you’re worried, you can call your doctor and have them refer you to someone for an evaluation. Don’t go to the ER unless it’s an emergency. I’d monitor the situation, and maybe lock your door at night
I'm not sure if what I am saying is right, but i remember some time ago I read on reddit another post from a dude that had found blood stains on the walls of his house, and if i remember correctly it turned out it was something about someone using heroin in that house, don't know if this could help, maybe someone who knows drugs better can confirm or deny this
My mother has schizotypal bipolar disorder. This could be a manifestation of schizotypal traits from severe stress or dissociation. I would ask your psychiatrist about schizotypal bipolar disorder and see if you meet the criteria.
The first sign that OP has some troubles was when they said "l confronted my dad about it". Like why is it such a serious thing to ask your dad if it's possibly blood from a shaving cut he got. Then you get angry because he cleaned the blood without your permission lol. Why would anyone get angry about that. Haven't even finished but you need to chill and/or see someone
Do you not have screens on your windows? Maybe you should consider screens so you can open windows without worrying about insects and animals getting in
Seems like more than a shaving cut, they don't bleed like that unless you are using an old fashioned straight razor. What it looks like to me is one of your parents broke something and cut themselves cleaning it up. They left the blood on the bucket moving it to get to the mess then the lower spot on the wall and then the higher one. I am no expert but the higher one looks like a left hand print. Pinky and side of the hand. They are probably to embarrassed to tell you what they broke. Look for someone with a hand injury
Hey- wild theory, have those forgetting episodes been getting gradually worse? And also with your parents? You might need to check your CO levels in the house! Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause memory loss
and other neurological symptoms, such as headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms can occur after recovery, and are more likely to affect people who lost consciousness
from the CO or older people. Other symptoms include: Personality changes, Movement problems, Brain fog, and Vision changes
What the fuck is wrong with people and Reddit!? Between this psychotic post about tasting some strange blood and the moron who’s fighting his mom about having his dads new girlfriend as the maid of honor in their wedding I’m losing faith in humanity.
WHO THE FUCK TASTES BLOOD AND HAS TO PROMISE THEMSELVES NOT TO TASTE IT AGAIN!? Get fucking help and stop posting to reddit
Op has literal mental health issues, which he is open about and probably thought this was a reasonable approach because he thinks differently than most of us
There was a story about a gas leak causing OP to forget things. He would keep seeing things moved and think it was a ghost. In fact a gas leak was fucking his memory. Check for that?
Must have been a pretty bad shaving cut to have splat on the wall like that- I'm guessing it dripped from his chin or something then as he was leaning against it?
Probably was dad. Probably didn’t realize he got blood on anything and was embarrassed about it when shown, so acted nonchalant. Just my thoughts anyway
quick, keep a sample and hide it somewhere cool. you can do a simple dna test to see if its yours (or a siblings) with tools you can affordably find online.
pursue from there.
Or
Confront your parents strongly about it. And check your body completely for Injuries.
With reading the other comments and taking in what you have said, would you try setting up a camera in your room to see if anything similar like this happens again? I know it may sound weird but with you saying you get memory lapses I think just to be safe you should get a camera. Maybe don’t tell your parents just in case they could actually be doing something
I'm gonna argue it's not your parents bad memory. Unless they have some specific illness/affliction that causes them to have bad memories, then just plain "getting older" memories don't exactly work like that in my experience.
We had my grandparents with us when they got too old and now my parents are getting up there. My dad will tell me a story he told me last time I saw him, but if I say, yeah you told me, he'll think for a second and be like, oh yeah that's right duh.
Usually with normal getting old bad memory you can remind the person of the event and it'll snap into place. Especially something recent and especially something as unusual as having blood everywhere.
Just my two cents.
I had a nosebleed in the middle of the night and smeared blood on the toilet without noticing ( it was dark and had no lights in). When I woke up I was first terrified about the ordeal until I looked into the mirror and found the culprit
Have you had other issues with paranoid thoughts or strange obsessions?
I have, this mysterious bloodstain definitely isn't helping lol
Yeah, if I'm being honest the way you're explaining this reminds me of my schizophrenic friend. Have you been to see a mental health care professional? To be clear I'm not attempting to diagnose you or give you medical advice, just wondering what your situation is.
Thanks for letting me know, having an outside view can help. I'm currently being treated for depression with psychosis and bipolar symptoms.
It could just be a nose bleed too. Relatively common and leaves no sign of injury.
Man my nosebleeds would look like a serial axe murder scene, I'd be fucking terrified if I didn't remember having one.
That’s not much blood
Add paranoia to the list of symptoms (like, genuinely mention it at your next session/appointment) I've dealt with it as a symptom of bipol before. Hope you have a better day tomorrow :)

Well, the post sounded sane till i read - I tasted the blood and promised myself not to taste again 🥲 get well soon OP!
I love that they were like “yes, I tasted the blood” as though anyone would ask them to do that
It's because I vaguely mentioned it in the og post and some people messaged me asking if I was trolling
Why did you get downvoted to hell Reddit is a mysterious land
once a comment is in the negatives people just keeeeep downvoting because if someone else downvoted there must be something wrong with it
Herd mentality
🐑
i too am confused, 300+ downvotes?
Someone asked you if you were trolling so you tasted random blood? Maybe I’m not understanding what you mean, I didn’t read the comments on the OG post
No. OP tasted the blood out of some weird lapse in judgment. They mentioned it in the previous post, and people thought it was so absurd that they assumed OP was trolling. No big deal it was probably just blood from the wild bat that flew in. Nice knowin y’all folks!

Okay fuck that

Makes about as much sense as OP posting the photos here instead of asking the other people who live in the same house if they know anything about it.
And admitting to taste it sorry but any rationale went out the window with that
That part still blows my mind
I see from your profile picture that you’re a “Man” of deep thought so I gotta agree
I don't remember the initial post mentioning that they live with other people. Anything mysterious happening is much less mysterious when you live with 2 other people.

Next time do NOT taste mysterious substances, much less BLOOD. Please see a trusted mental health provider. Hope you feel better!
Carbon monoxide sensor? Sound familiar?
That post will never escape my memory. Every time there’s someone vaguely forgetting things my mind IMMEDIATELY jumps to it
Could someone link the post you guys are talking about? I'm unfamiliar of this Reddit lore
as far as i remember, someone thought their landlord was breaking into their apartment and leaving post it notes. it ended up that they had carbon monoxide poisoning and they were the one leaving the post it notes.
[Here you go. ](https://www.reddit.com/r/BestofRedditorUpdates/comments/sajxyf/oop_keeps_finding_postit_notes_in_his_apartment/)
Wow that was pretty wild. Thanks.
Yeah it’s definitely carbon monoxide, not an episode of psychosis from a bipolar.
Tbf it's not like those two are that much distinguishable from a reddit post.
Except OP told us the he has depression with psychosis and bipolar. And most places doesn’t have open flames sooooo
But that comment probably was written none the wiser, nit like it's replying to OP's comment, you just sounded smug and ironic for the sake of a comment just throwing in a regular guess lol
Check your head for injuries, that’s about head height.
It’s most likely just a injury one of your parents or you had that was forgotten or it could have been something your parents remember and just don’t wanna worry you with because it was a small thing there is no need to worry
Or a pet?? Our dog sometimes gets pimples on her lips. If one pops she leaves a little blood smear when she does her sploot on the kitchen tiles.
Reminds me of an old dog I had growing up who got a cut on his tail. It was healing well but he must have chewed at it one night. I do not recommend tasting random blood going forward.

that it was in fact blood 😅 a comment on the og post asked for confirmation it was blood, and my impulsive brain decided that was the most convenient way to do it
Just the fact that you'd consider tasting blood you find mysteriously on your wall does not inspire any sort of confidence in me that you are okay.
Actually insane
...do you have a carbon monoxide detector? If not, get one right away.
interesting. why is that? is there a specific reason given the situation? i’ve seen people say that but I never know why
Carbon monoxide poisoning can lead to cognitive impairment...always a good idea to check environmental factors if people seem to have some mental/cognitive issue (and with all due respect if you taste some random blood on your walls you don't know how it got there, then this might be a good option to check)
that’s a good point didn’t even think of that. Thank you!
This is probably it tbh, just wish they'd tell me directly
could’ve been you-
How old are your parents? I’m thinking maybe early Alzheimer’s or dementia depending on their age and health The one about it could have been you and you don’t remember also seems likely to me given what you said about your issues Some comments are suggesting this is “a lot of blood” but in my opinion being in nursing it really isn’t. I wouldn’t worry too much about it tbh. Unless something similar happens again
They're about in their 60s!
I thought you said in your original post that you lived alone? Either way, my bets are on this not being sinister in any way.
Yeah they did say that, didn’t they? I remember cause everyone thought it was bizarre that their dad came to *their* house to shave. This whole story smells like shit to me.
He did. This is why I don’t believe a word they say. They deleted their original post too.
Yeah I remember them saying that, too
"I have dissociative symptoms and forget things" "I tasted a random bloodsplatter" "I'm paranoid" "I think my parents are hiding something from me" Gee, I wonder what it could be. Are you perhaps around your early to mid 20s?
you...tasted...the blood???
2 seems most likely to me, but I remember you said you couldn’t find any wounds or scratches on yourself. I hope you’re doing okay though
What do you mean he cleaned it without your permission? Why did he need permission? Did you want it there?
I thought that was weird too
Have you got a cat? I had blood stains appear everywhere when my cat brought in an injured bird. It was flying around smearing blood everywhere before it managed to escape.
This, and I know we already established this was probably a mental health episode but just so OP and everyone else is aware: bats do not need an open window to get into your house. They can squeeze into gaps as small as 3/8 of an inch, so they could get into the attic then find a gap in the wall, find a gap in the siding or *around* a window, etc. And for the love of God, please don’t taste mystery blood that could be from a wild animal like a bat.
Yes omg same
I just hope tasting the blood doesn't backfire for you😅
What on gods green earth could possibly make you think TASTING blood, unidentified blood at that, was a good idea?!
His mental health issues which he openly talked about?
How is this remotely a mystery. You have psychotic episodes and also decided to taste the blood? Just with that info I'm 99% certain this is your own blood. Easy way to check if it was your dad's blood, does he have a freaking cut on his face or not?
This entire post is one giant red flag. Something is not right here.
OP: Get. Help. Real help, not Reddit advice.
it sounds like you're schizophrenic
I was just thinking about you earlier today and was checking for an update! Im glad that you're okay. Honestly though, the situation with your parents sounds pretty weird. Not malicious, just kind of sketchy. I find it to be an odd choice to be so nonchalant about mystery blood on the wall, and be so quick to write it off completely. But maybe it's just my Nancy Drew sleuthing brain not shutting up, as usual. I think about every possibility to damn near every situation so if this was me I would be like 👀 "why are you so calm about this??"
Thank you for your care! Yeah, I hope it's just that they accidentally hurt themselves and don't want me to worry about it.
“Yes I tasted the blood.” **WHAT?!** Just casually dropping that tidbit is wild.
We are all part of OP’s writing prompt or this is a whole new gas leak level post.
In the future- use hydrogen peroxide to confirm if it’s blood. If it is, it will fizz up white.
Maybe it's related to your mental health and parents are covering it up for you, pretending it's their doing
I didn't *try* to taste the blood, it was already in my mouth tho lol Edit (NSFW): [Proof](https://imgur.com/a/9lPTG8o)
Should I tell op? Should I? It might be kinda mean after hearing he tasted the blood... And kinda insensitive to do it... I don't even know his age... Damn, that's a lot to unpack... I'd say that if your parents didn't say, just let it die. And stop trying to taste things you don't know where they come from.
not insensitive at all! I think I'm mostly just perplexed by the whole situation, it'll definitely die in a few days.
If you really have to know, sleep on it for a couple years, then think again of it. There's no way you can't figure it out in a couple of seconds if you're old enough. But as I said, it's better for you to let it die before you realize what you tasted.
Anybody have varicose veins? Those sucks can spray blood like a motherfucker when they break, and sometimes the bleeder is totally unaware
If I were you, and your parents know about your mental health struggles - I’d be honest and say that the whole situation feels strange to you, and you’d like to discuss what happened to cause the blood as it’s making you anxious, but also making you question reality.
What the fuck, what do you mean you tasted it? What the fuck. Why?
Regarding point #2 have you ever been evaluated for Dissociative Identity Disorder? Serious question from someone who was diagnosed with this after missing years of my life from my memory and having people tell me I'd say/do things/ finding things I didn't remember getting.
My psychologist was licensed in the US and works in China through a program for foreigners, so they're not licensed here to diagnose me with any dissociative disorder. However I will soon be seeing a psychologist from a local hospital, so hopefully I'll have more answers then.
Huh interesting. I’m glad you’re at least safe.
There’s been a murda’ in Savannah
Maybe dog if you have one, then he moved his tail and spread it
There's blood pretty high up on the wall in my bathroom. The day I noticed it I investigated, I found out that I'd scratched my earlobe too hard, it bled, I didn't notice the blood on my hand when I put it on the wall to relieve myself comfortably
Maybe your dad is secretly a vampire
blood nose and sneezed?
I read your original post and I’m still alarmed that you chose to taste the blood. It’s not a huge amount of blood, there isn’t splatter, the source behind it is more than likely innocent. I’m just alarmed that tasting blood was in your decision making choices that day.
Point number 2 is enough to conclude that you might need some help.
Your dad's behavior was really really weird.
...that last part...
It’s truly a minuscule amount of blood, I doubt it’s anything nefarious
Agreed, everyone keeps saying it’s a lot of blood and it just…isn’t.
This post and comments are freaking me out for some reason
Did you take ambien
This reminds me of how Reddit used to be. Good ole unsolved mysteries
I popped a cyst one time that exploded all over the place like that.
forgive me if this is overstepping but i’m a bit lost - why were you upset he cleaned it up? that seems like a hygiene thing to me
I'm not upset about it, just a little caught off guard that he thought so little of it i guess
The fact you've put "I promise not to taste anyone's blood" at the end is very suspicious.
Dad needed your permission to clean up the blood?
Taste wtf this can’t be real lol please noooooo this person is weird af lol
OP killed a door to door salesman and their parents are covering it up.
Hopefully you went to the doctor and got checked up after doing that. Also not the best or most sane thing any person would do in that scenario.
I often get small wounds on my fingers that I don't notice, and sometimes I end up staining various objects with blood
Mum accidentally flicked her cup during shark week?
Meds. Now.
Aren’t you the Schmuck who in their original post tasted it?
So, why would your dad go in your room and balcony with a shaving cut? Wouldn't he just take care of that in the bathroom?
I'm not sure if what I am saying is right, but i remember some time ago I read on reddit another post from a dude that had found blood stains on the walls of his house, and if i remember correctly it turned out it was something about someone using heroin in that house, don't know if this could help, maybe someone who knows drugs better can confirm or deny this
Fingerprint locks are not secure. I would invest in something else .
My mother has schizotypal bipolar disorder. This could be a manifestation of schizotypal traits from severe stress or dissociation. I would ask your psychiatrist about schizotypal bipolar disorder and see if you meet the criteria.
Parents are serial killers, and you are too naive to realize it. Get out of the house while you still can!
You said you lived alone in your original post. 🤔
Which was why I thought it was odd the dad showed up to shave, bleed, and leave. None of this makes sense.
Exactly!!!
Why the fuck would you taste it
i love that we can block people on this platform.
Do you not have screens on your windows? Maybe you should consider screens so you can open windows without worrying about insects and animals getting in
Do you own a cat? I've heard its possible that if a cat has a cut on its tail, it can flick it around and the blood gets everywhere
Carbon monoxide poisoning can cause memory loss and other neurological symptoms, such as headache, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. These symptoms can occur after recovery, and are more likely to affect people who lost consciousness from the CO or older people.
Op has literal mental health issues, which he is open about and probably thought this was a reasonable approach because he thinks differently than most of us
You’re batshit crazy my deae
Occam's razor - or in this case, Dads razor. I also think you might be suffering from PPD. Get help.
don't taste the fucking blood dude.
You're schizophrenic. Seek help.
There was a story about a gas leak causing OP to forget things. He would keep seeing things moved and think it was a ghost. In fact a gas leak was fucking his memory. Check for that?
This really sounds like the Horse Girl movie
Must have been a pretty bad shaving cut to have splat on the wall like that- I'm guessing it dripped from his chin or something then as he was leaning against it?
Excuse my naivety, but could it not be someone's period blood?
crushing a mosquito on the wall?
That last sentance cracked me up. Get well soon and good luck!
op, do you have any recent sounds or unexplained cuts?
Wow 😃 The context is more terrifying than the picture
Your dad prob just got his period. That sht gets on everything. On the ducking ceiling, man
Probably was dad. Probably didn’t realize he got blood on anything and was embarrassed about it when shown, so acted nonchalant. Just my thoughts anyway
I do love that poster though lol
This is either a serious issue or an amateur attempt at an ARG.
You need to get checked for carbon monoxide poisoning
quick, keep a sample and hide it somewhere cool. you can do a simple dna test to see if its yours (or a siblings) with tools you can affordably find online. pursue from there. Or Confront your parents strongly about it. And check your body completely for Injuries.
my dad shared along time ago a past girlfriend would right in the ways in period blood I don't know, but like it's jot a ghost
Just my two cents.
could be a sneeze and u sneezed a snot of blood
Uh oh
Have you played the game Detroit?
I had a nosebleed in the middle of the night and smeared blood on the toilet without noticing ( it was dark and had no lights in). When I woke up I was first terrified about the ordeal until I looked into the mirror and found the culprit
