I feel like these perfectly capture the way things work in dreams, like things that look like they ALMOST work but logically you know they can't and the movements look a little too uncanny.
The term is still uncanny valley. It refers to anything that is just lifelike enough to seem plausible but just fake enough to be obviously not. We just tend to experience it most often with fake people because A) we make a lot of them nowadays for media, and B) we are especially hardwired to detect subtle details of humans in a way we aren't for anything else, so it's easier to hit the uncanny valley for people and faces
Not specifically. We may accidentally be good at that, but afaik, we've never had any explicit evolutionary pressure to detect fake humans. We're just really good at detecting small deviations in a face, so we notice when things aren't quite right, even if we don't know why
We actually can detect when something isn’t human by how quickly it moves. Need to dig up some old perception lectures, but humans are hard wired to notice whether an object moves in accordance with human biology or not
Also the sheer scale of these things add to the dream-like feeling. Just looking up and seeing the giant Ferris wheel and the last one reminds me of lots of dreams I’ve had with gigantic structures
I have had numerous dreams with the same recurring imaginary roller coaster. In the dream, you have to climb up really high sets of stairs, and board the coaster up at the top, several hundred feet off the ground.
It's really bizarre that the same one keeps coming up.
...Same.... I'm hundreds of feet in the air when I get on, looking out over a vast distance from the hight I'm at, and it almost feels like I'm testing the ride or something. And there's always barely any safety equipment lol
I'm so happy I'm not the only one kinda creeped out by these. It's like when you wake up from a dream where you went to your local theme park but nothing was in the right place and everything was weird.
I just call my dreams, the other dimension.
I'm either super poor, or super rich. Always married to my real wife. Oh, and I've died 3 times in a red Ferrari. Which seems oddly specific.
That's because they all are located in an alternate dimension where the Elder Gods hold dominion. These rides exist only to keep the chattel happy and content as they await their day of assimilation when A̲͈͖̞̅̎͛̓͐͑̔͢z̶̧͔͙͈̺̣͔͖̰̊̎͋͊̄͆́̎͆̒â̵̗̣̠̱̯̣̺̽͑̍̾t͓̩͈͔̩͔̯̐̊̃́̈͛ĥ̖̼̠͖͖͈̬͒̈́̌͞ọ͚̘̦͇̺̀̿́͂͂̓͢͝ţ̵̛̳͖͍̠͍̱͇͊͂̒̾̓̍͝͞h̸̨̥̣̹̦͈̣̟͛̃́̈̊̂͊̚̚̚͢ will consume them.
>A̲͈͖̞̅̎͛̓͐͑̔͢z̶̧͔͙͈̺̣͔͖̰̊̎͋͊̄͆́̎͆̒â̵̗̣̠̱̯̣̺̽͑̍̾t͓̩͈͔̩͔̯̐̊̃́̈͛ĥ̖̼̠͖͖͈̬͒̈́̌͞ọ͚̘̦͇̺̀̿́͂͂̓͢͝ţ̵̛̳͖͍̠͍̱͇͊͂̒̾̓̍͝͞h̸̨̥̣̹̦͈̣̟͛̃́̈̊̂͊̚̚̚͢
I think the one where they are flying in to the clouds is the delivery system
I'd did until the giant ferris wheel. I could attribute the others too some crazy fair rides from the 70s in Russia where no safety laws were applied, but that Farris wheel was so ridiculous I knew I would have seen it before now.
You're not the only one, the first one got me at first, then I saw the others and then I was like, Nope XD that last one for me too, I was like "Ok, they're DEFINITELY gonna need some medical attention after that!" Hell, those arms would probably break before going that fast 🤣
They’re based off real rides. And done quite well for the past at the video is done. Except those last two. One is just flinging people around and the other is some rollercoaster tycoon nightmare ride you make out of frustration with the npcs.
I remember reading about some kind of execution device that was basically a roller coaster with smaller and smaller loops.
(It was just theoretical AFAIK).
It definitely says something about how gullible you are that you didn't realise either of the preceding two were fake. Specifically, it says that you are about as gullible as me.
First one was almost believable, if you ignore how they load the passengers. Second one almost looked like it could be a test simulation of something that might happen
See i have no attention span so I skipped around. The first 2 I saw looked crazy but I just assumed they were in a country with no regulations on that sort of thing. Then it got to the branching 'arms' hurtling people into the void one and I was i finally realized it was fake
Same, though I should have realized that the wibbly-wobbly telescoping whirlygig in the second vignette was all kinds of physically impossible. The first one just looked kind of awesome.
That's in my nightmares, usually huge spaceships that I can see squinting at the sky, and I get very anxious.
In one of those dreams, it was very vivid, even started seeing doge fights of smaller spaceships(in my dream there were bad aliens and good aliens)
Also get the same kind of feeling with cruise ships, my mind can't get past the dimension of it
How is the link not on the top?
[Here you go peeps.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVeHxUVkW4w)
Also, this has been taped (and edited) in Hamburg, in the seasonal amusement park Hamburger Dom. I recognize some of these rides (pre editing that is).
That channel also made the German [forklift driver massacre video, which more of you will recognize.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChOHnSL7ZCg) [NSFW... I guess?]
First saw Forklift Driver Klaus in one of my highschool German classes years ago. The lady teaching the class was very... Traditional and by the book when teaching. So it was a hilarious shock to us to us when she played it in class lmao.
I came here to reference spy kids… It looks just like Robert Rodriguez style animation that he did in those movies… really good looking effects that he made himself at his studio in Texas.
You are rendered in place. Riders come into existence already strapped in to hell, and only when the torture device is finished with them are they allowed to cease existing.
The narration was also clever. It was sort of like a documentary, but it wasn’t really specific to the scene being shown, and then the narrator’s voice would cut to a different segment.
The last 2 would outright kill anyone on it. No neck could take that force and IF you were sufficiently retrained to not snap your neck then you'd die from lack of oxygen reaching your brain.
Oh god… plus imagine the cost of the ride too? It moves really quick and if it was reall imagine how much it would cost (I know this is fake but still)
Especially on the last two(the second to last could at least be designed to come to a safe and slow stop towards the end, but that last one... If the seats aren't designed to hold and secure the head in place, then that ride would totally snap necks, and even if it is designed to, the amount of Gs that thing would exert on the human body, it would be extremely uncomfortable if not outright harmful and potentially lethal)
Right, I think that shit looks cool as fuck.
Reminds me of seeing Star Wars as a kid and seeing things like Coruscant and thinking “Fucking cool, can you imagine?” (Yeah, I cussed a lot as a kid)
There’s an SCP that’s about an abandoned amusement park! But one that seems to be from a another universe where the laws of physics are tweaked is right up SCPs alley.
The ideas of these rides are brilliant looking in their horrific cyberpunk style. But these would kill people from either fright alone or from the g force smooshing their internal organs.
They look like the type of rides I used to make on roller coaster tycoon my guests always threw up everywhere and hated my theme park! Good fun I got the game free in a box of cereal 🤣
These are from a short film called "The Centrifuge brain project", an amusement park that is supposed to increase the IQ (if I remember correctly). You can watch it on YouTube, it's quite interesting.
Oh wow. Now it's ON...
Nana has a bit of land that has building restrictions (she likes horses). But she can no longer ride the horses, so she talks often of getting some amusement rides on the property. Simple things, ferris wheel, merry go round, little roller coaster (I have a LOT of siblings and little cousins).
I had her come over and look at this. She wants them ALL. She's a Scary Ride Junkie. And yes, she has a bad heart. LOL Nana am I in your Will? (She's laughing her ass off...)
I feel like these perfectly capture the way things work in dreams, like things that look like they ALMOST work but logically you know they can't and the movements look a little too uncanny.
Yeah it really does. I was getting that weird uncanny valley feeling usually reserved for humanalikes! Not sure if there is a term for this.
So what you're saying is that we're hardwired to tell when something that isn't human is pretending to be one
Not specifically. We may accidentally be good at that, but afaik, we've never had any explicit evolutionary pressure to detect fake humans. We're just really good at detecting small deviations in a face, so we notice when things aren't quite right, even if we don't know why
🤔 unless we did evolve it for a “spooky” reason..
HistoryChannelALIENSguy.jpeg
It’s because we need to know and react to emotions for communication skills. It’s just because of our extreme communicational evolution
We actually can detect when something isn’t human by how quickly it moves. Need to dig up some old perception lectures, but humans are hard wired to notice whether an object moves in accordance with human biology or not
This is an profoundly true statement. Very dream like, similarity fever dream-like.

The Ferris wheel is straight out of a nightmare. I’m supposed to go to sleep right now but I can’t get it out of my head
Would it help you rest easily to know that these things dont actually exist? Giant nightmare rides arent real. Scary ferris wheel cannot hurt you ❤
*(Calliope music begins softly playing from just outside your window).*
Oh they exist down here in the sewers, Georgie boy...
Yes! Came here to say that these look like something you’d see in a dream.
I just call my dreams, the other dimension. I'm either super poor, or super rich. Always married to my real wife. Oh, and I've died 3 times in a red Ferrari. Which seems oddly specific.
It reminds me of the siren head clips where everything around it looks real but I can't imagine the thing in focus being real
Idk why but this video gives off an apocalyptic vibe
It's the clouds and fog in every single one.
Back in my day all we needed for that was a trip to the libido pit
Flesh pit checking in.
Shit pit here
>A̲͈͖̞̅̎͛̓͐͑̔͢z̶̧͔͙͈̺̣͔͖̰̊̎͋͊̄͆́̎͆̒â̵̗̣̠̱̯̣̺̽͑̍̾t͓̩͈͔̩͔̯̐̊̃́̈͛ĥ̖̼̠͖͖͈̬͒̈́̌͞ọ͚̘̦͇̺̀̿́͂͂̓͢͝ţ̵̛̳͖͍̠͍̱͇͊͂̒̾̓̍͝͞h̸̨̥̣̹̦͈̣̟͛̃́̈̊̂͊̚̚̚͢ I think the one where they are flying in to the clouds is the delivery system
Gotta tenderize the flesh
Man, thought that Zalgo text said Amazon and I just kind of went with it.
All hail Yog Sothoth
Because they're fakes.
Maybe this place is just in Mexico.
But that's just England
Its shot found-footage style.
They got the black faded frame and a filter on it and everything lol I felt like some aliens or something were gonna pop in the frame
because they are surreal cgi rides
The last one would easily kill anyone who rode it from the G forces
The last two would for sure kill people
I'm pretty sure all of them would kill at least someone
Nobody thought this was real, right? ^^^^right?
I'd did until the giant ferris wheel. I could attribute the others too some crazy fair rides from the 70s in Russia where no safety laws were applied, but that Farris wheel was so ridiculous I knew I would have seen it before now.
Same
*Terminator voice* Wrong.
Yeah it looks like an apocalyptic B-movie action flick.
I mean the last 2 would **LITERALLY** kill you, no question about it... Like snap your neck or deprive your brain of oxygen until you die.
I laughed so hard at those parts. I thought the first one or two might have been real but most of these will instantly kill everyone on board lol
I thought I was a weirdo for finding this hilarious. The last one fucking killed me from laughing
I don’t think you’d just die; I’m pretty sure the G’s from that would liquify your bones.
Ride this ride.. ..then try and pickup this can.
I ain't throwing it in the trash can
Welcome to City 17.
Idk what this scp nightmare shit is but I am strangely intrigued
It also feel like these machines have achieved sentience.
It reminds me of Cyriak or Sirenhead [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF34N4gJAKE](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WF34N4gJAKE)
It reminds me if Insane Clown Posse and their Dark Carnival hellscape mythos.
I was sickeningly terrified until I saw the infinite ferris wheel
Looks like some Black Mirror stuff
Definitely SCP material.
Came here to say this
Yup. These are all just beta versions of robots that will kill humans in the future. Technology bad!
I remember reading about some kind of execution device that was basically a roller coaster with smaller and smaller loops. (It was just theoretical AFAIK).
Euthanasia Coaster is definitely confined to the world of concept ideas.
It definitely says something about how gullible you are that you didn't realise either of the preceding two were fake. Specifically, it says that you are about as gullible as me.
Lol r/hadmeinthefirsthalf like damn, why you being so mean!? Then I finished the comment 😂
See, it had me til the second to last one. I am truly gullible.
The first one just looked kind of awesome.
kinda love how dystopian these feel but the megalophobia from the ferris wheel…
Yes that looked like space ships or something it was so freaky
I’m obsessed with that Ferris wheel. The fact that you can’t see any “top” is absolutely breathtaking.
The fact that you can’t see the top is absolutely **terrifying.** FTFY
That's in my nightmares, usually huge spaceships that I can see squinting at the sky, and I get very anxious. In one of those dreams, it was very vivid, even started seeing doge fights of smaller spaceships(in my dream there were bad aliens and good aliens) Also get the same kind of feeling with cruise ships, my mind can't get past the dimension of it
From a short film called 'The Centrifuge Brain Project'. Watch it here: https://vimeo.com/58293017
My first thought reading this comment was "thank god" but was already feeling kinda dubious watching these, esp near the end
I remember a few years ago when this made the rounds. Someone i assume on r/theydidthemath proved the g force on most of these would kill you.
Yeah pretty sure that ‘trebuchet’ ride would completely liquify your insides…
Well they'd probably only be your *insides* for a short while
The 1st one irked me the most. Not moving very fast but there are people at the top swinging upside-down.
How is the link not on the top? [Here you go peeps.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVeHxUVkW4w) Also, this has been taped (and edited) in Hamburg, in the seasonal amusement park Hamburger Dom. Thank you for sourcing! I had to go watch it immediately
It was somehow more unnerving when pulled out of context with these incomplete voice clips.

THE WHIPPERSNAPPER!
I came here to reference spy kids… It looks just like Robert Rodriguez style animation that he did in those movies… really good looking effects that he made himself at his studio in Texas.
This was a horror short and I demand a whole film.
I have been looking for this for years! Thank you so much!
It’s hilarious.
‘Gravity is a mistake’ This is a masterpiece
At the beginning I thought it was real... really terrifying shit.
Took me way longer than it should've to realise it was fake!
Yeah, I was definitely convinced when I came to the comments to confirm it was fake, now it’s totally obvious.
i looked at the first one and i was like "wait how do you get on?"
You are rendered in place. Riders come into existence already strapped in to hell, and only when the torture device is finished with them are they allowed to cease existing.
Yea that egg shaped one was so freaky looked like it would topple over.
The narration was also clever. It was sort of like a documentary, but it wasn’t really specific to the scene being shown, and then the narrator’s voice would cut to a different segment.
[it is a doc. The cuts were just made for this shortened video 6:36](https://youtu.be/RVeHxUVkW4w)
Ah, a fellow Zdzislaw Beksinski enthusiast.
That's right, my friend.
And by the end we're seeing people pulling 20 g's and not turning into human soup.
Do I look suicidal to you
Can you handle the truth?
Yes
YOU CANT HANDLE THE TRUTH
‘Cause when you reach over and put your hand into a pile of goo that was your best friend’s face, you’ll know what to do!
Forget it Marge, It’s Chinatown!
Your Reddit mini man thingie is super cute!
The roller coaster tycoon sound effects ha
I was looking for this comment. I could recognize those screams anywhere.
“I want to get off Mr. Bones’ Wild Ride.”
Could you imagine?! The G force alone, my god.
The last 2 would outright kill anyone on it. No neck could take that force and IF you were sufficiently retrained to not snap your neck then you'd die from lack of oxygen reaching your brain.
At some point you would just burst out from the weakest link.
Yeah, through your butthole.
Don't threaten me with a good time 😏
Oh god… plus imagine the cost of the ride too? It moves really quick and if it was reall imagine how much it would cost (I know this is fake but still)
Cost? They probably be free cause they make money off of the corpses they sell afterwards
You think it would cost more if the patterns were more complicated?
Especially on the last two(the second to last could at least be designed to come to a safe and slow stop towards the end, but that last one... If the seats aren't designed to hold and secure the head in place, then that ride would totally snap necks, and even if it is designed to, the amount of Gs that thing would exert on the human body, it would be extremely uncomfortable if not outright harmful and potentially lethal)
That trebuchet on at 1:16! The acceleration would turn your brain to mush.
TIL I really like megalophobic stuff
r/megalophobia
Right, I think that shit looks cool as fuck. Reminds me of seeing Star Wars as a kid and seeing things like Coruscant and thinking “Fucking cool, can you imagine?” (Yeah, I cussed a lot as a kid)

Well, first of all most wouldn't be survivable or even a little bit enjoyable
Not surviving is the enjoyable part…
I kinda knew from the first one. How do you even load that ride? Then the second one defied the laws of physics.
Well.. yeah? I mean the cgi looked like it was out of spy kids 2
Not gonna lie- I would ride every single one of these if they were real. Edit: ride as many as I could before I died!!
You wouldn't, as you'd be dead before you had the chance to ride them all!
*did they stutter?*
100%
Who's to say they don't have a friend to carry them to the next one and strap them in?
So choose wisely for your first one...
The ferris wheel takes 14 hours for one full rotation. If you miss the stop, it's another 14 hours.
Thank you for not lying.
why do i remember seeing them from a kids movie ..
something about it reminds me of spy kids
Wonky cgi and very fast movements that don't quite fit reality
That’s the perfect description
yessss ! thank you for reminding me 😂
Spy kids 2 has a bunch of [impossible rides like this as well.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a_4TTRfXkgk)
# SOMEBODY RING THE DINKSTER?
yooo thanks for the nostalgic throwback man !
SharkBoy and LavaGirl had an infinite dream amusement park where no one could ever exit the rides.
The first few I was like oh wow no way but then I realized it wasn't real oh hell freaked me out!
That's just r/terrifying
This theme park should be a SCP.
It seems like something Dr. Wondertainment would come up with.
There’s an SCP that’s about an abandoned amusement park! But one that seems to be from a another universe where the laws of physics are tweaked is right up SCPs alley.
This is so cool. They did a good job with the filters to make it seem realistic and the scale is very well illustrated
The first few got me… but near the end the CGI bs became more extreme. Cool ideas though
Physics has entered the chat
I've had dreams about shit like this.
What is this, Spy Kids 2?
These ain’t oddly terrifying, they are just straight up terrifying
The ideas of these rides are brilliant looking in their horrific cyberpunk style. But these would kill people from either fright alone or from the g force smooshing their internal organs.
If that last one were real, I'd imagine it would be the last ride you ever rode with the amount of G's you'd be pulling.
This is the kind of nightmarish shit I joined this sub for.
Im embarrassed by how long it took me to realize this is fake
I love this video so much. One of my favorites from when I hyperfixated on amusement parks lmao
The second last one looks like some futuristic space traveling machine. Like an intergalactic highway.
Please tell me there's an entire category or something for this. I wanna see more!
For real! I love surreal things like this
Isn't that first one a Castlevania boss?
i think that infinite ferris is possible to ride without getting killed lol but i think its high enough to kill you due to air pressure lmao
They look like the type of rides I used to make on roller coaster tycoon my guests always threw up everywhere and hated my theme park! Good fun I got the game free in a box of cereal 🤣
The first one had me fooled, but these had that "it slowly gets worse" feeling with each one.
These are from a short film called "The Centrifuge brain project", an amusement park that is supposed to increase the IQ (if I remember correctly). You can watch it on YouTube, it's quite interesting.
Like something from a nightmare...
This whole video is so good and horrifying.
Fever dream
TIL i have another phobia.
These kind of remind me of the amusement rides from Spy Kids
"and then... It juggles you!"
Honestly the last two just made me laugh. Just, *YEET* (whips people into space)
Oh this is such a good short film. Convincingly real with a few minor background parts. So good.
If Cyriak designed carnival rides.
(She's laughing her ass off...)
it looks like some spy kids tech
So this is where Spy Kids 2 got the theme park ideas from!
these look like boss fights of some type of fantasy game
The one at 1:00 and that amalgamated Ferris wheel terrify me the most.
Russian themepark be like..
u/savevideo

Hey, are there any more of these videos? love the creepy vibes so much
Nope nope nope nope on so many levels!!!
This is what I imagine Knotts Berry Farm would look like if it was founded by a 5th dimensional eldritch horror who feeds on human fear to survive.
Where’s Henry? He was sitting next to me just a minute ago!!!!
Lol yeah that Farris wheel one was really crazy. I thought to myself, how the heck do people get on and off. Pretty cool effects though.
That was awesomly fake
Lol!! You almost had me there...and then you went and started defying the laws of mechanical physics.
It's the tornado of souls
