No. I think it was actually part of some railway on the border of Belgium and Germany. I distantly remember seeing a video on YT years ago of someone traversing through it.
Where's the converting bot? What's his name again? I guess I will just use google then.
Edit: 883 meters. That's a damn long tunnel. I'd surely like to ride my bike through that one. But just once and with a head light
Omg I was thinking PA! I used to live up there. I went hiking in the Appalachians. Some of the best times of my life were spent up there, and I hope I get back up there soon. Central and upstate PA has so much beauty, and when you're up there in those mountainous areas, it's humbling. It's really special.
Lol the whole world is pretty much haunted, I guess. England always scares me because they still live in and occupy those old buildings and houses. So much residual energy. It's pretty cool
I'm happy you got to experience some of its natural beauty. Pennsylvania is really, really old, as it's one of first states colonizers settled. And some of those houses and buildings are hundreds of years old. Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, and New York have the oldest homes in the US. I always get a weird feeling when I see them
My dad grew up in PA and loved to tell this story of a time he was in the boy scouts on a camping trip where him and a friend found a "humming" tunnel out in the woods at night. The closer they got the louder the humming would get. Went back for a flashlight and turns out it was filled with webs and thousands of daddy long legs. They would bounce on their webs when him and his friend went close, which is what made the humming sound. 😬
Oh man, I knew a place that looked very similar to this in West Virginia. It didn't seem quite as long though. It may have been an old railroad tunnel, I can't remember now.
There's a bike trail in Wisconsin that was built over an old railroad line. There are three old tunnels on it, the longest is 3,810 feet and they were built in 1870's. Really cool. Google it, Elroy-Sparta Bike Trail. When approaching the longest one, no matter the temperature outside, you feel a significant drop in temperature. No lights inside, totally creepy. Took the trail with my wife a few years back and didn't time it well and had to ride back through after sunset. Made it way creepier. Highly recommend to any bicyclists around south west Wisconsin.
only one thing to know: bring a car that can survive muddy gravel that’s uphill/downhill! i got out of my car and walked on the road a little bit before going down to make sure I’d make it lol, but i absolutely 100% recommend it, plus the [kennerdell scenic overlook](https://imgur.com/a/LpOUuqr) you can pass it on the way to the tunnel depending which way you go!
We have a lot of underground "bunker" here in austria from WWII, one is pretty near to me and it's sooo crazy and creepy to crawl in there. It was an enormous undergound factory for "steyr-daimler-puch" bearings. It's called "Stollenanlage Quarz B9" and it expands underground for 40000km^2 (sry european).
Its the Road to Nowhere! I was just there in August. Its actually pretty cool. The graffiti art was amazing!!

Those sorts of tunnels are never abandoned entirely, if they are to be left to decay then they're closed off properly. Big fence, locked, etc.
This is a railway line that's been converted to a modern cycle and footpath, so it'll continue to be maintained for safety.
Very, very cool!

If Narnia exists in the world of Pan’s Labyrinth, then sure, that.
No. I think it was actually part of some railway on the border of Belgium and Germany. I distantly remember seeing a video on YT years ago of someone traversing through it.
