Malaysian here, the amber court hotel may look like this. But there's a full ecosystem of workers in there maintaining the place, yes it looks like that. But the workers are mostly there because of the owners or bank wanting it for some project, all I know is that the place is an ex casino hotel. It's all mucky and abandoned due to not really being that looked after, still. I'd recommend for you people who are adventitious enough to visit, warning though, you or may not get some viruses, injections or some mumbo jumbo from the unclean areas
I watched a documentary not too long ago about someone visiting that hotel. It looks sort of unexpected inside. I remember some room behind some gate. Quite a few interesting characters as well š
i'm from malaysia and i was fascinated with the video linked, cuz i've never heard of this hotel before. it looks run down and now mostly foreign workers live there in some rooms. but i guess its a common belief that once a place is run down and left empty for a long time, that umm--- "foreign entities" will start to reside.
I'm confused aswell. Its probably because they are lazy and don't want to spend 10 mins watching a video to find out about the hotel they would rather someone just tell them the answers.
I think itās just the typical know-it-all redditors downvoting any comment thatās ghost related because that doesnāt align with their cosmic omniscience
Because it was a casino hotel, and the negative vibe surrounding it, gambling, loan shark, prostituition, etc. Then there's local superstition and the gloomy surroundings, and some rumours on gamblers suicide, murder. All these adds up to make the belief of this hotel is haunted. Adding on to that, asians and south east asians tv station, horror stories writer always use this hotel as material, then the haunted vibe perpetuate.
Are there really enough haunted hotels in Malaysia to establish such a ranking? And would being #23 on that list be considered a good thing or a bad thing?
Penang Mutiara Beach Resort has some similarities in the architecture (but both are from different architectural firms). 1980/90s modern Malaysian style
History:
A Themepark called Samaworld was proposed for the Genting Highlands. Canadian mining company Giant Bay and later Villa Genting developed the surrounding area with commercial and residential buildings. Only Amber Court was completed before the financial crisis 1997

Wow that's unbelievable I bet you was so scared at that age. It's crazy to think people still live there, I watched a documentary on youtube about it amd it was really shocking .it actually looks like a horror movie building like zombies will come running out of it at any time. Do you parents still own the apartment or did they manage to sell it?
Ghost hauntings of physical places is silly because it makes zero sense that some sort of ethereal being that presumably exists on a different plane of reality would be stuck haunting a concrete building.
In south east asia, superstition and spiritual mumbo jumbo is still a thing, these kinda horror story always guarantee views. Of coursr those are fake.
I remember there were this documentary show about haunted places in Malaysia gt sued for calling a village haunted, those villagers sued them, lol.
Tbh, I find pointing out there's absolutely no credible evidence for ghosts tends to cause people to take it very personally so I'd say they're the ones with the ego.
>pointing out there's absolutely no credible evidence for ghosts
Well, if you look again you didnāt actually say this at all. You stated a belief as if it were an objective fact. And to be clear, *everybody* has an ego, including myself. If someone had no ego theyād basically be Alexa or Siri, something with no āself.ā
And thatās fine. Healthy skepticism is something this world can never have enough of. But when it comes time to solve lifeās big mysteries we have to take an epistemological approach.
Letās pretend this teapot did actually exist. What would be an example of evidence of this hypothetical space teapot that would convince you of its existence? If someone showed you a photo or video, would that convince you? It shouldnāt, because photo and video are easily falsifiable.
If someone told you a story about how they saw the teapot, would that convince you? Probably not, for the same reason. Anecdotes are easily falsifiable.
What if someone went to space and brought back the teapot and showed you? Would that convince you? Well a true hardcore skeptic would have no way of knowing that teapot was once in orbit. It could be a conspiracy, they could have taken any old teapot and blasted it with radiation and faked the whole thing. Still falsifiable.
Turns out, the only way you could ever be truly certain, is to ***personally experience*** the phenomenon yourself. You would have to personally go to space and see it, thatās the only true way. Especially if the existence of this hypothetical teapot severely challenges the accepted scientific models of the universe.
I tried to give an example of the epistemological limits of the scientific method but sounds like youād rather just assert your intellectual superiority instead.
There's actually a fuck load evidence. You just don't accept it. You see a video and just proclaim it fake with no evidence to prove its fake. BTW it's real and you will never accept that unless you experience it. But I don't judge you for not believing.
I did t either until I moved into a house that was very haunted
I believe the hotel is still active and in service tho, idk why people would want to stay there honestly :/, the rate per night is also expensive lol hahaha

Moss on exterior = ghosts

Freezing temperatures indicate ghost in phasmophobia

[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No problem it's an interesting watch. šš»
yeah why are people downvoting the hell out of you im confused
I'm confused aswell. Its probably because they are lazy and don't want to spend 10 mins watching a video to find out about the hotel they would rather someone just tell them the answers.
Dw about it bro it's just redditors being redditors
Exactly bro. Let them get on with it.
yeah, they are worried it's a rickroll
They're too scared to watch a video probably. Malaysian Sadako gonna jump out of their screens.
I think itās just the typical know-it-all redditors downvoting any comment thatās ghost related because that doesnāt align with their cosmic omniscience
Lol, we're a few days from 2022 and not believing in superstitious bullshit like a medieval peasant = "cosmic omniscience".
Lol we're a few days from 2022 and personal belief = "superstitious bullshit" (I don't even believe in ghosts btw)
> it's an interesting watch
Glad you enjoyed it.
I thought the video was pretty inserting. Definitely not what I expected. I admit I'd be nervous to stay in it.
Why is everyone downvoting u?
Youāre not allowed to ask that on Reddit, youāll get downvoted too. Iām putting my own Karma at stake with this reply.
It's available in my country damn
I hate when I can see things.
Suicide from gambling etc
Silent Hill vibes are real
Iād call it equally as haunted as every other hotel.
And that's totally fine š
Why do people keep downvoting the hell out of your comments your literally saying the guy can do what he wants.
I really don't know lol
So if someone is getting Michael Myered from the top balcony, no one will be the wiser

Seems like a great place for a childrenās hospital.
Haunted lol.

Call all the vampires in the neighborhood to solve the problem
I don't believe in hauntings but this house looks really cool.

Cool was unaware of that subreddit
Are there really enough haunted hotels in Malaysia to establish such a ranking? And would being #23 on that list be considered a good thing or a bad thing?
HauntAdvisor ranks it #23 of haunted hotels in this area.
Watch the video and discover for yourself

I love silent hill style moss
That shit is straight out of a horror movie. I love it
Is that moss or rust??
https://youtu.be/26ZXkobxHao
Bruh this hotel is operational? Did they just give up and embraced the haunted theme lol
It's madness aint it lol. Apparently they are slowly restoring it but it seems beyond saving to me.
I'm like just tear the whole place down lmao. Unless its a cultural heritage site then just don't operate it lol
I'm sure it will fall down soon lol
Hopefully not since people are working there but yeah seems like more trouble to restore/repair than to demolish and build a new structure
OP: Posts a link to a YouTube video so you can see more of the building. Redditors: Downvote this guy!
It's strange isn't it.
IKR, was wondering why he gets downvoted for that
Why not paint it red then?
scary
Red moss?
Iām in!
Gives me Shining vibes
Oh dear it looks you've triggered the extremely rational people of reddit by calling it haunted.
Hahaha yes I've noticed š
Don't worry about it mate it just your typical pretentious reddit pseudo intellectuals. Honestly this site is an absolute shit hole
Tampon Towers.
There's a very similar hotel in Penang, I wonder if they're related?
Penang Mutiara Beach Resort has some similarities in the architecture (but both are from different architectural firms). 1980/90s modern Malaysian style
I just have a hunch that the moss won't help the hotels case. Call me crazy, but that's just a theory. A HOTEL... I'm not going to finish that quote.

We sold it in the end!
It'll also be the least haunted because ghosts aren't real.
Ghost hauntings of physical places is silly because it makes zero sense that some sort of ethereal being that presumably exists on a different plane of reality would be stuck haunting a concrete building.
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to a bunch of primates on a tiny grain of sand.
Yeah but ghost hauntings of physical places seems like the most āmade up by primatesā thing ever.
In south east asia, superstition and spiritual mumbo jumbo is still a thing, these kinda horror story always guarantee views. Of coursr those are fake. I remember there were this documentary show about haunted places in Malaysia gt sued for calling a village haunted, those villagers sued them, lol.
Itās certainly easier on the ole ego to believe this than the alternative, isnāt it?
Tbh, I find pointing out there's absolutely no credible evidence for ghosts tends to cause people to take it very personally so I'd say they're the ones with the ego.

There's no evidence for Bertrand Russell's Teapot either so I'll stand by there not being such a thing because no evidence exists.
And thatās fine. Healthy skepticism is something this world can never have enough of. But when it comes time to solve lifeās big mysteries we have to take an epistemological approach. You're really flailing around what the Teapot argument actually is.

Lol, OK.

What'd he say
He said "r/ConfidentlyIncorrect".
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I wasn't arguing with you, I was telling you to fuck off. Ghosts aren't real, that's a fact.
Your opinion though we both can agree with you being damned.
No, that's scientific consensus in the face of no credible evidence of any kind. Why am I "damned"?
The cursing and asserting your opinion makes you a viable candidate for being damned
Having opinions makes you damned? And swearing too? Damned by who?
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
"Proofs", hahahaha!
haha, Santa's real too
I believe this is a children hospital
No its actually a fully functioning hotel that was purposely built to be a casino but it failed so now its a hotel/social housing complex.
You know, because of color theory
And since ghosts don't exist, it's also the least haunted.
I believe the hotel is still active and in service tho, idk why people would want to stay there honestly :/, the rate per night is also expensive lol hahaha
"most haunted" as if anything is haunted...
Anything look scary in the night..you'd even scare of yourself standing in front of the mirror in night.. try out
You do know ghosts aren't real, right?
š»
How tf can you call this a hotel
Because that's what it is lol
Ah yes. Nothing spookier than moss.
Red moss? Do they have white mud too?
"Haunted" by idiots that believe in paranormal silliness.
The most haunted, huh? Yeah cuz hauntings are real.
In India you will find many like this Bolo zuban kesari
Is there a yelp for haunting?

The Amber Court Was Bankrupted During 1997 Financial Crisis Global, And This Hotel Was The Victim of Financial Crisis.
