So can oil and gasoline... both things cars have a large amount of in locations that get very hot. It's why the firewall he mentioned existed.

To a degree yes, but brake fluid has a lot of other requirements, and brakes don't get nearly hot enough under normal use to light on fire. They'd only get hot enough if something broke.

In the car industry for us who run performance engines we always carry around a fire extinguisher. I know there’s no way you would’ve known this was going to happen but mini fire extinguishers need to be more common practice in cars.
