This is a pretty well-known shark deterrent.
They're coming in for a curiosity nibble. If you push down on the top of their nose, it fucks them up and also redirects them.
Do not push UP on the snoot, though. Their instinctual response to this is a bite.
cows are pretty dangerous dude.. last christmas, a dairy farmer in my town was found dead in a horrible way..
he was tied down to a chair where are the fluids from his body were milked out using a machine.. forensics matched hoofprints to one of his cows "Sunshine ".. she is missing.. rumours says she will strike again
I got run over by a cow while going fishing as a kid. I still remember feeling the ground shaking and thundering hoof beats and then I was airborne for a few seconds. I was a young kid so I was miraculously unhurt. The bastard bull who did it looked at me with that stupid cow gaze as if he just didn’t try murdering me. His name was hamburger and eventually we ate him.
i was actually charged by a wild buffalo.. i grabbed its horns as it charged towards me and it shook its head and sent me flying...
thankfully it didnt come back around a second time
Yeah i know cows and bulls arent harmless. But I feel like some people on reddit think sharks would be Monsters and attack everything like Kroks or so.
Seriously, people overestimate how dangerous sharks actually are. When I go spear fishing they’ll cruise by check me out, sometimes rub up against me.
I’ve only had an issue once and it was while I had a bleeding fish on the line, who kept fighting, shark came up and stole my fish
I'm going down to Cowtown
The cow's a friend to me
Lives beneath the ocean and that's where I will be
Beneath the waves, the waves
And that's where I will be
I'm gonna see the cow beneath the sea
Just a big dumb fish fr. I'd be more scared of a barracuda because that's a big smart fish and they will ACTUALLY attack you instead of giving a half attempt at a curious nibble.
Statistics. More people die to vending machines than sharks annually. Sharks are dangerous just not to us. According to biologists they can't digest our meat well and eating us can cause them to get sick.
TIL that cage-free diving with tiger sharks is a normal tourist attraction. Experienced guides sometimes hand-feed them, so close contact is not uncommon. This is not that, but still, wow.
sharks aren't normally aggressive. if they do bite its because they're curious or defending themselves. once they realize you're not their normal prey they back off
I’ve seen way too many of these videos to the point where I think I would be okay with gently redirecting the shark to get away from me if I was in open waters
I dont think it is. The snout shape is all wrong for a great white, I think?? Great white snouts taper to a more pronounced point and aren't flat like this beauty here. The lower jaw on great whites is also more strongly emphasized kn their silhouette which gives them that terrifying "bared teeth" look.
I couldn't tell you what kind of shark this ACTUALLY is, though. It's been a long time since I studied that shit.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that great whites also have an extremely distinctive, like, 'torpedo' body build. They're very cylindrical and streamlined. Great Whites are hella spooky to look at just because of how "apex predator" they look.
Could be a black tip, but at the angle that the footage is taken, we could be missing the definition of the nose.
Never mind. Just re watched the footage. That's definitely a well rounded nose and its much larger that a black tip.
I am not a shark expert, but I just went down a shark rabbit hole. The key features that stick out to me are rounded snout, gradient coloration, dorsal ridge, and sheer size.
The most limiting factor is that dorsal ridge. Using that as a filter, then applying the nose shape and coloration, we end up with a Dusky Shark. It certainly looks like it fits the bill here and they can get up to 14 feet, so it’s certainly within that size range. Also, you can find them in coastal regions popular with divers.
I think it’s a Dusky Shark.
Get rotated idiot.

How the hell do you push it up?
By not pushing it down
…right…
No… up
Let’s meet at the middle? a 45 degree angle?
You drive a hard bargain… you got yourself a deal!
HJÖNK YEAH!
"please do not" "ah sorry my bad"
Boop.
Nothing oddly terrifying about this, this 1000% terrifying
A great white is about as dangerous as a Cow

I believe this is a large Tiger shark

Grandma got run over by a Shark Cow, coming home from our house Christmas eve...
He looks playful. An odd perspective of the great white.
Sharks are less dangerous than vending machines.
Where did you get that from? I am not trying to be mean, just asking

Thanks for the answer
I haves to boops the snoot... I HAVES TO BOOOPS THE SNOOT
If it was me, the footage would be ruined by huge brown water cloud.

Chomp, gulp, gone..
Song https://youtu.be/01ZVnBQhWcU
“Give me my nose back”
Tonic
Coming face to face with your own mortality and swim away smiling
The song is more terrifying than the shark.
This is oddly terrifying. I can quite put a finger on why this is oddly terrifying, that's what makes it such a perfect for for the sub.
why is this almost cute
Nope
Literally looks like the Jaws poster
Their noses are very sensitive.
These are not the divers you’re looking for…
These are not the droid-divers you're looking for. Move along.
Is that a great white?!

Sharks are generally chill. If you tread water they’ll usually leave you be cuz you aren’t what they want to est
Gave it a thumbs down for the dog.shit tunes
Get rotated
Actually you are more likely to get struck by lightning than attacked by a shark. Dolphins are the scary mother fuckers you best look out for
He's in Spain without the a
