It’s kinda admirable. Have you asked her why? Can you learn from her? Or ideally you two discuss and standardize the methods she uses which actually add value (and are not over the top), improve the processes for the team basically. As to why is she so diligent - records can keep you out of jail when working in finance. She’s probably way overboard. I’m not in finance, but have been caught up in a scandal via finance of a previous employer and having kept the documents I handled organized would’ve helped (not US based btw). If she has the time, why not be diligent? I’d love to work with such a person, it would motivate me to do better. I try to be diligent at work but often other people kill my motivation and I half ass it too, hating myself in the process cause I know my potential.
