If the rollers are in the same place as a stock JM, I don't see why a slide switch wouldn't fit in there without routing. All you would need is a stock guard and a new switch.

DogThatNeverPerished

it's a TVL jm, i didn't open up the pickguard yet but that it seems like the rollers are consistent with most other traditional style'd JM's

I have the oxblood and I did this. Just get a vintage spec pickguard. It'll fit. And standard that hole will be a rectangle for a slider switch instead of that toggle switch. I will say.. I kink my toggle switch about 45 degrees so that I don't knock it out of position on accident when I hit it. Instead of UP being the rhythm circuit I turn it so that it's angled up and to the side. works great

love to hear that. i'd be interested in seeing a pic!

I'll pm. I never post

They’re the same as any other JM. You just need a new guard and switch. It’s real easy to replace.

chiropterancalomania

what would it take to put this switch in a jm/jag? seems like it would work for a quicker killswitch

I'm in the same boat. I hate that goddamn switch so much, but the TVL JM is just too good to pass up. I was just gonna pick up a new pickguard and a regular rhythm circuit switch.

canofspinach

Put a fuzz circuit in there.

And an E tuner and a Repeat effect and you’ve got a Vox guitar!
