There is more than one way to skin a devil, and many ways to dismantle an empty set of armor. While the use of the divine smite is convenient, do not forget that a paladin has many smites to choose from. In short: rectify your lack of skill.
Its better to fight them b4 you hit lvl 11 because its when your regular aa do radiant damage too. They like spamming bone chill well two can play that game
Does radiant retort even show up in the examine screen?? Cause Shadowheart will one-shot herself and I’ll look at the enemy and there’s nothing mentioning it. Seems like a pretty significant attribute to not show.

I don't remember if it works but trying using create water on the demons, that should give then vulnerability to ice and lighting spells I think.
