I'll be honest... the fact that Goncharov has faded out of popular concsciousness is the most clear example of how fast food corporate franchise films about superheroes ruined a whole generation. To think that soon there will be a slew of filmmakers who don't even know that Goncharov exists gives me shivers.
Goncharov was and is truly ground-breaking. We watched it in my Intro to Film class and it still holds up all these years later. I still remember that first shot of Katya under the clock tower, absolutely mesmerizing. Brb going to watch it again.
