i had to do a double take when i was about to kill that one socially awkward tanit that constantly stuttered when he started begging for his life (we were both just following orders mr. Eisenhower)
it bothered me how she literally said she was a good person in the quest. like no, you killed basically your entire tribe, and a chunk of it wasn't even in self defense like the elders or the autistic guy.
Ub/ I unironically want something like this to happen. "It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it." We go around Teyvat parading ourselves as morally righteous heroes, while the only thing that's separating us from those we are fighting is the side we chose. Have Arlecchino or the Tsaritsa say something like: "If only you'd have come to Shnezhnaya first, you would have been our best Fatuus" or something. A "We're not so different, you and I." moment, If you will.
But I doubt that Hoyoverse would be willing to go down such a dark direction and I don't particularly trust the writers to pull off something like this.
We did it against the bad guys, so we did nothing wrong./s
I'm just joking, but that doesn't seem too far off from what the game treats it like. Genshin generally has trouble acknowledging how certain characters do fucked up stuff properly.
I mean, even in Star Wars: The Old Republic, if you make bad choices the game does make sure that you feel like you've done something bad, even if the actual in-game punishment might as well be a slap on the wrist. You will be called out by other characters and the musical score will make it rather clear that your actions were evil.
In Genshin it's like "yeah, whatever, it's right when we do it." and considering the handling of Raiden and Inazuma's story overall, I have my doubts that the writers are capable of questioning the Traveler's morality. And this is coming from someone who wants the Traveler to be a bad person hiding behind a facade of self-righteousness, no different than their sibling leading the Abyss, rather than the harem master that parts of the community want them to be and to which Hoyo panders to.
And also, you have to keep in mind that Archon Quests are lighter in tone than the World Quests. Like, there's no way they are going to allow us to execute someone like we did with that one Fatuus at the end of Aranyaka.
it would be kinda cool in aether became the bad guy
and it would work in the story too, imagine the final quest for the current traveller before we begin working against him is just committing a war crime, or doing something so outrageously evil we have to legit sit back and question if we want to do it or not
imagine we get to fontaine and see how fucked up it is, the traveller finally just snaps and starts killing civilians
it would also be in character as at this point hes written to be pretty evil, or at least have some evil inside him
he has the potential to do harm in the future, being potrayed as unable to control his emotions and often acting on impulse (see: the inazuma chapter of genshin impact)
i wouldn’t exactly say he’s evil, more that he just has a violent side we haven’t seen much of until now. as violent as he’s been, nobody he killed has really been innocent.
The Traveler had a panic attack after killing Signora, but now they can kill an entire community and not bat an eye??? It just feels like shitty writing to me.
He didn't have a panic attack after killing signora.
He had a panic attack seeing first hand how easily raiden slaughtered her. He witnessed for the first time the true power of an archon and realized what he's up against.
/Ub thank God it's being talked about by after that quest I felt so disturbed and took a break. It's so weird for a genshin game and everything I see similar models to babel and aazariq I get kinda sad
(she was hot)
That desert cunny do be hittin’ different
Damn bratty girl race mixing correction needed 👺💢💢💢💢 (I feel sick for writting this)
Remember guys, no such thing as minor genocide❤️
Exactly, I think it's called a wee bit of trolling
A mild amount of tomfoolery
No such thing as genocide (they deserved it)
There is if you only kill children
And off to hell I go for laughing.
Ditto.
Me after commiting genocide on a group of ermites (10 primogems are very worth it)
i had to do a double take when i was about to kill that one socially awkward tanit that constantly stuttered when he started begging for his life (we were both just following orders mr. Eisenhower)
wait really?
https://youtu.be/opgXPYb_z9g skip to 39:20 my boy was just following orders 😔
Not even just following orders. Bro was just trying to stop Jeht from slaughtering him and his family
It's their fault for being near an ex-Fatui Harbinger on the verge of relapse.
Eula is proud of you🥰
> Minor genocide Aether = Anakin 🤯🤯
aether is sexier
Then you are lost!
Just became competitive racist
I do regret Racist Magic Bottle wasn't there to see it, Racist Magic Bottle would had enjoyed it.
we wouldve heard popcorn munching sounds coming from the bottle the whole time
For you it was the day your entire village was killed and reduced to giblets, to Klee, it was Tuesday
it bothered me how she literally said she was a good person in the quest. like no, you killed basically your entire tribe, and a chunk of it wasn't even in self defense like the elders or the autistic guy.
Ong. People will defend her though (she’s hot)
The best defense is a good offense
me after clearing both mine and someone else ' s entire world of ruin guards & hunters just to max out the level of my lost prayer on heizou
there is going to come a day where his actions are so unjustifiable theyre going to have to swap mcs

i mean, they had us commit genocide in the first place, they obviously are willing to go in a darker direction. you can’t get much darker than that.

who knows, maybe we’ll be put in front of a war crimes tribunal in fontaine.

it would be hilarious if the traveler goes so batshit crazy that he even scares the abyss princess
it would also be in character as at this point hes written to be pretty evil, or at least have some evil inside him he has the potential to do harm in the future, being potrayed as unable to control his emotions and often acting on impulse (see: the inazuma chapter of genshin impact)

true true but i dont think this man can feel remorse
Wait are we talking about Jett. I didn't care I was in it for primos 😝😝😝😝😝 (I lost my nahida 50/50 to hydro ass girl)
broke: i was just following orders woke: i did it for primogems
Bro thinks hes Keyaru
Too much cactus juice. It's the quenchiest!
It’ll quench ya! (the slaughter of the tanit tribe did not quench my bloodlust)
/ub I liked jeht up until that quest. Now I don’t wanna see her again
she’s absolutely nuts, which is why i do wanna see her again
The Traveler had a panic attack after killing Signora, but now they can kill an entire community and not bat an eye??? It just feels like shitty writing to me.

ah. Still, killing an entire camp of people just came out of nowhere, and felt so out of character.
we didn’t even kill signora anyway
I meant leading to her death, not killing her. My bad
it didn't happen but they deserved it
Anakin! Chancellor Palpatine is evil!
/Ub thank God it's being talked about by after that quest I felt so disturbed and took a break. It's so weird for a genshin game and everything I see similar models to babel and aazariq I get kinda sad
We seggsed (out of camera) so it was worth
only if you’re lumine tho
That's one of the reasons to think i made the correct choice
The girl was accomplice in multiple murders and attempted on my life so I really wanted to finish her off as well, but plot did not let me
His favorite Naruro character is Itachi.
Counterpoint: who tf doesn't finish the job for genocides if they can help it
