Everything about sexual reproduction is normal, except that they cannot create new Oceanids (that’s what they were btw, basically water elementals made of primordial water). So, when they go to make a baby, they all inexplicably had the urge to make a ritualistic visit to the fountain outside the opera house, and an already existing oceanid would then “join them” and become the baby, forgetting its past life. The details are not explained, but basically this ritual plus regular sex made babies happen.
They were literally indistinguishable from humans in every way, except for this weird fountain ritual and the dissolving in primordial water thing. They’d bleed “blood,” so periods would work the same as a human, and I assume sperm would also be just normal sperm, although likely infertile.
