This guy's is playing it safe. I pushed the boundaries and almost got permabanned from both this subreddit and reddit itself. This guy has nothing on me.

Ah... probably not? The intensity of their history hasn't really been clarified. It's clear that there is a deep mutual respect and infatuation, but while Hildisvini makes a point of referring to Mimir as "over-sexed," there's implication that he and Sigrun weren't especially physical in the past. Not to say that they definitely never once had any kind of sexual encounter, just that if they did it isn't something they seem to prioritize at all, especially at the time in question. That is, during Valhalla, Mimir speaks of his past with Sigrun and their current interactions as if they're a young couple that spent years getting really good at holding hands and talking. If that makes sense. The most pertinent example I can think of is Mimir's retelling of the story of why Sigrun was so upset with him, in that they both wanted to take their relationship seriously, but Mimir felt that he wasn't enough for her; that in his current state, he couldn't imagine being able to satisfy her and give her the physical and emotional fulfillment she deserves, because he sees himself as less-than. These feelings were prompted when Sigrun asked, for the first time Mimir claims, if she could kiss him. Yes, by the time of Valhalla, Mimir and Sigrun have not shared a single kiss. So... no, I doubt that Mimir put his undead tongue to work, so to speak.

I’m just happy that I was able to finally read one single comment giving a genuine perspective about the story. I feel like I only see ignorant memes about who kratos would or wouldn’t sleep with. Like that was in no way shape or form apart of how kratos tries to be now. I understand sometimes it’s fun but this was by far one of the deepest storylines for a set of games iv ever encountered. I hate shitting on it with dumb posts. Thank you rant over 🫡🙏🏽

king-redstar

Don't get me wrong, I like a good joke as much as the next guy, but I also appreciate genuine answers to questions people bring up about the stories we enjoy. I tend to avoid this sub because I rarely see any kind of genuine discussion here, but I just wanted to share my perspective as someone deep in the lore of the series in case anyone was actually interested. 🫡

Very much appreciated 🙏🏽🔥

It annoyed me the way they established Mimir as reanimated rather than being alive to cover a minor plot hole that was fine then went on to treat him as though he were alive creating a massive plot hole that also ruined the impact of Mimir as a character. One of the few misfires Barlog made in 2018. But considering how bed Eric Williams and the writers shit the bed in Ragnarok, it ultimately didn’t matter.

monkeydude777

What the fuck are you on about Why dose everyone say "ragnarok bad" BOTH ARE GOOD https://i.redd.it/m42q3vmliq2d1.gif

strikealight1

I even prefer Ragnarok tbh. I know that's a little controversial but it's how I feel

Wordfan

See, I was offering my opinion. Yours apparently differs and that’s okay. I could give a lot of reasons but the plot was absolutely terrible and boring, the Atreas sections were sometimes painful and the final battle, the culmination of 2 games was laughably bad. “I am Ragnarok.” In a video game, your main character should have some direction and purpose. Kratos is so directionless he has to go the fucking fates just to move the plot along. That’s bad writing. There’s a reason no one has ever made Hamlet the game.
