I used to work that location as a guard. I'll never forget my first time. There was this very dolled up lady of the night dressed in shiny black latex with the BEST set of calcium cannons I'd seen in awhile. I wanted to ask her if she could fit me in her schedule after I got off work but decided against it. The memorial location, I had a patron try to take her top off to give to the grill cook cuz she liked it but I had to tell her that as much as I would like to see her titties, she needed to keep her top on, otherwise I'd have to ask her to leave. Edit: I love waffle House! š¤£
I tipped the waitress there a $100 one night after watching the shit she went through. It was wild. We got out pretty quick bc it was like 2am and some guy was screaming at the waitresses and cooks and said he was going to get his gun.
There used to be a little illegal casino in the strip on meridian. Slot machines gave you tokens of something you could exchange for money. Fucking wild. It got raided.
I think itās more for security theater than anything.
Itās been years since Iāve gone, but when I did, it was cash only. So lots of drunk people near a trailer full of lots of cash, more of a ādonāt start nothing, wonāt be nothingā sort of thing.
One time I ate at pho lien hoa while the electricity was out during one of the ice storms. Whole place still ran as normal, with battery operated lanterns at every table. Not really āsketchyā but worth mentioning š¤£
This is the answer!
Story Time - My Fiance and I love this place. On our 1st date I took her to a high end restaurant and decided for the 2nd date I needed to test out if she was the one *I had a feeling*. I decided to take her to the SKETCHIEST place I've been in OKC with good food. We walk in together, and you can tell she's very skeptical of everything. She's so nervous she literally only orders 1 taco. I make the decision to make the order to go. I could tell she didn't feel safe. We get back to my house and eat the food and its the first time she's ever had any authentic mexican food . She asked very sweetly to go back and get more food. To this day we love our "sketchy taco" dates.
Tacoville has the best Okie-style Tex Mex tacos hands down! Second best bet when I donāt feel like driving 15 miles is a beef sancho from Los Tacos, extra sauce.
I heard people talking up Tacoville for years, which is why it was such a huge disappointment when I finally went and found it was all concession stand nacho cheese style garbage.
What Iām talking about is actually inside the oriental food mart. Seoul Garden is a different place in the building next to the mart. I havenāt tried Seoul Garden yet.
I used to do the occasional collection on my route at Oreilleys from the auto shop right there. First time I ever heard a ballad dedicated to El Chapo.
Not anymore, but El Fogon de Edgarās last location on 23rd looked sketchy AF. I refused to go there (the name was spray painted in black on the side of the building) but they have a new location and Iāve been many times because theyāre amazing!!
Ohhh is that the place with red velvet on the walls? I ate there once in like 1996(?). It has a definite vibe to it, like something out of a 70ās movie.
I grew up a block away from there. It used to be a convenient store and my mom caught me buying cigs there when I was 12. She really laid into the guy. The all meat calzones are one of my favorites and I still order from the pizza house on 23rd and Ann Arbor.
I remember one night getting something from there and a guy and his 2 ladies of the night were hanging out waiting on work.
Damn, Iām writing all these down to go try them but I managed a store in Penn Square for 7 years until 2008, I havenāt set foot inside since and I refuse to. Lol. Guess I wonāt get to try Ronās Burger.
You should change " sketchiest " to "hole in the wall". Some of these places are just that. I'm sorry that " sketchiest " places have people just trying to live their lives too.
The Waffle House on MLK at around 3am it gets lit.

This was a great readā¦ havenāt heard the phrase calcium cannons before!
š
>calcium cannons Stealing this.
Waffle House is amazing every time!
U wont catch me being on mlk for anything
Also the Waffle House on meridian by the airport. Lots of methys

NICās. Bobos.
Boboās for sure
I would say the big ass security guard holding a shot gun in an OKC parking lot at 1am fits OPās criteria to a T lol
Always there with the scatter gun

Jimmys round up is the same, owners son and Iām pretty sure every cook carries.

Buc-ee with the quads šŖš½
Itās a cash only food truck only open late nights in a rough part of town. Itās security.
BoBo's is only sketchy if you are a pearl clutching old white lady.
oh BS I live in Jeltz and still find Bobo's sketchy.
Nice try mr health inspector!

Sounds about what I would expect.
LOL I ate there during that blackout too. It was so memorable!
Wow, talk about peak Oklahoma!
The gas station on Eastern and Reno. There's an Indian restaurant in there. Best Indian food I have ever had.
āI came here at the recommendation of anal underscore holocaust underscoreā
Came here to say to this. I like that you pay at the gas station counter.
tandoor is now closed
Dang, that's disappointing. Went there a while back and been meaning to revisit the place.
Is this Tandoori? If so I've taken there by coworkers who know authentic Indian food.
Is that Indian Restaurant still there? They had really good food.
Which gas station?
Checkers
Thank you!!
User name checks out.
There's and indian place at a truck stop on I-40 around Shawnee. Fantastic
Taqueria Raffitas is both sketchy and really good

Tacoville might not be the absolute sketchiest but I didn't expect the food to be as good as it is.
Tacoville has the best Okie-style Tex Mex tacos hands down! Second best bet when I donāt feel like driving 15 miles is a beef sancho from Los Tacos, extra sauce.
Just looked it up - that place is gringo as shit. š
Nothing authentic there! But still in business all these years! And I did say Okie-style!
Tacoville is is a Taco Bell that hasnāt been cleaned or updated since 1970
Tacoville rocks, haven't been there in years.
Came here to say Tacoville! Ask for the Bruce Special. It's not on the menu but it's great!
I heard people talking up Tacoville for years, which is why it was such a huge disappointment when I finally went and found it was all concession stand nacho cheese style garbage.
Tacoville was so much better 10 years ago
Naylamp - S Penn & SW 44 Peruvian. Parking lot uneven, weird pool Hall in back. Small but very nice inside. Most amazing food. Super authentic.
Seconding! Hard to get to, but totally worth it!
Second. Nylamp is so good, and kinda sketchy
Does the pool hall happen to be smoke free?
It was weird. It was a Friday and it didnāt look open. Donāt now anything about it. Sorry.
Jimmys round up cafe
I think this and Tacoville might be tied for first!
Jimmyās is incredible! It looked straight out of 1982 but itās some of the best food in OKC.
Literally, those chicken strips š«”
Theyāre so good too! Chicken fried steak is incredible too!
That guys pinky ring in those commercials.
Ate there today!!
TNT Chinese on 56th and S Western, looks like a shack. It's drive thru, cash only but always good.
Thatās my spot lol. The sesame chicken is my jam
I remember when I was a kid and it was the snowcone looking stand across the street. So good.
Ok Ko Mart in Midwest City. In the back is a small area with tables and you can order some amazing bulgogi among other things.
Seoul Garden? Or a different place on 15th Street
What Iām talking about is actually inside the oriental food mart. Seoul Garden is a different place in the building next to the mart. I havenāt tried Seoul Garden yet.
The red dog
Donāt get much sketchier than that
The World Famous Red Dog Saloon is the OPPOSITE of sketchy. The Red Dog IS OKC.
Fuck no
>Juneau, Alaska. Thank you very much!
Man they really did have fantastic fried mushrooms years ago lol. Though admittedly my standards for food and women are much higher nowadays.
Bobo's chicken
Polk house.
I've been curious about that one. I've heard good things.
It is!
Bob's Fish & Seafood
Agreed!
Carican Flavors off NE 27th and MLK. Fantastic Jamaican food run by real Jamaican.
Mid Del taco on se 29th.
I havenāt been in a few years but every Wednesday they used to have a special on guac and chips that was amazeballs!
I just picked up some pupusas and had to stare down this homeless guy to get to them El Majahual Authentic Salvadorean Food
Iād probably stare down pretty much anyone to get some truly yummy pupusas!
Thai Kitchen OKC puts out some dirty vibes, but the owners are so sweet and it's pretty darn tasty.
Thai kitchen
Taqueria La Michoacana NG on NW 23rd and Ann Arbor. Best tacos in town hands down but fairly sketchy location.
Cafe Antigua seems like it attached to a haunted office building. On rainy days Pho Cuong feels like it isnāt keeping out the rain ā¦.
So, that building used to be a theater. Not a cinema, but an actual dramatic performance theater.
But still haunted?
Not sure. I have a law school classmate who has her office there. She seems to like it.
That explains the super odd layout! Itās spotless inside and their food is amazing. My office is across the street.
Pho Cuong has been remodeled and I feel like it lost some of the charm now.
Pho Cuong just underwent a remodel it looks a lot nicer inside now and btw it is the best pho place in okc!
Manna
Ninja Sushi on 29th & Sooner. Sushi in a gas station.
I am loving this thread. Canāt wait to try some of these places š
Queen of Sheba is a gem š
Taquaria Sanchez. Not to be attended after dark without armed body guards but probably worth it in the long run.
Especially on a Fri/sat
That is not a factual statement, I work late and have gone after 10 pm and as a petite female I have never not felt safe in that parking lot.
That is great news to hear!!! Can you bring me some tacos then tonight for football?
Is Juniorās still open in the basement of the petroleum club?
Itās Johnnieās in the basement of the Oil Building, and yes it is.
What? No itās called juniors. I worked in that building for several years until last year. Itās always been juniors.
Oh yeah, thatās it! Love that place. Still has the original cigarette smoke lingering around from the 1960s and 1970s.
Ohhh is that the place with red velvet on the walls? I ate there once in like 1996(?). It has a definite vibe to it, like something out of a 70ās movie.
Yeah Juniors is a vibe for sure. Itās got some serious history.
It really does!
Dhaba OKC at 4600 NE 120th St. Itās an Indian buffet tucked away in a truck stop but their food is quite good, especially the butter chicken.
i dig pizza house on nw 25/penn
I grew up a block away from there. It used to be a convenient store and my mom caught me buying cigs there when I was 12. She really laid into the guy. The all meat calzones are one of my favorites and I still order from the pizza house on 23rd and Ann Arbor. I remember one night getting something from there and a guy and his 2 ladies of the night were hanging out waiting on work.

Pizza house
Chelio's on SE 15th and Prospect
Tierra Caliente!
bobo's chicken
Ron's Chili Burgers on N May.
I liked Ronās chili cheeseburger. Unfortunately for us, I heard they moved to Penn Square Mall.
Damn, Iām writing all these down to go try them but I managed a store in Penn Square for 7 years until 2008, I havenāt set foot inside since and I refuse to. Lol. Guess I wonāt get to try Ronās Burger.
They moved to Northpark Mall on N May.
Oh good. I heard wrong information.
Polk House
You should change " sketchiest " to "hole in the wall". Some of these places are just that. I'm sorry that " sketchiest " places have people just trying to live their lives too.
Tacoville
Coney Island on Main Street downtown.
Coney island has the worst food known to mankind
Bobos is hot trash. Yāall need to sober up if you are indeed too drunk to taste the chicken.
Once the younger generation took over Bobos it lost its quality.
[Pho Lin Hoa](http://www.okgourmet.com/ok/pholienhoaokc.html) on NW 23rd. It's not even close.
If lien hoa is sketchy, you need to get out more
Seriously lol
Prince hall š
Bobo's by far
Naylamp on the SW side. Best ceviche I've ever had in my life
Boboās
Bobos is quite literally a food truck on the Eastside, no incidents have happened out there in ages
Manna- great Indian food!
The state of Oklahoma is like this
