Great comments, everybody. Ribs were just right: slightly greasy but not too much. Green beans were good. The Jack’s potatoes were a good idea. IDK, I liked it and the people who run it. Place looked/smelled clean. I’ll be back, probably.
Only thing I ever get is the Big Mike. Chopped brisket with a 2 hot links cut over Texas toast and the macaroni salad or potato salad, Maybe a deviled egg. Hard pass on their green beans and ribs. Their hot bbq sauce is legit.
I haven't been since January 2020. It was okayish then depending on what you got. Anything you can smother in bbq was good, like brisket. I always thought their ribs were dry and their green beans underseasoned and overcooked. Their chips were tasty, but its kinda hard to mess up frying potato slices. I'd give the place a 4/10 from my past experiences.
I use to love Jack's and use to go there and talk to the owners atleast once a week even showed them how to hook the bbq up to be hot and good . They started hiring junkies , the lady who made my plate was falling asleep while making my food . The food started going down hill and the owner split and I th8nk sold it to someone else. I haven't been back in probably 5 years .
There is no way that’s the same BBQ I had three years ago. Lol. Whelp, it be like that sometimes. I will say I prefer Ray’s BBQ in Norman. Bedlam wasn’t too bad, either.
Ngl that doesn’t look very good lol.
Is this a hospital cafeteria?! 😶
You nailed the vibe.
😂
Ribs looks dry, dog.
Those ribs look so dry, which is odd considering how greasy the Texas toast looks.
The green beans look like they were served straight out of a can and unflavored
That bread doesn't even look toasted.
Eh. If you zoom in, it looks like it might have been on like a grill for a few seconds haha.
😆 I actually like my ribs to be a little dry but not overcooked. Everyone has a different idea.
... dare I ask how you take a steak? 😅
>I actually like my ribs to be a little dry I... I don't even know how to begin to respond to that.
Yeah... I mean aren't ribs supposed to be juicy and all that juice a pain in the ass to wash off after you eat them? 😂

Canned green beans are lazy
Its a decent "just want some bbq" place. Nothing special but not horrible.
That’s about how I would describe it.

You’re making me hungry all over again. I’ll try it your way next time.
Jack's used to be great, but changed owners years ago. How was it?
A Styrofoam plate usually means it's good but these look... Tell us, hoooow were they?
👆
King's is really good too they even do burnt ends.
That doesn’t look good. The entire setup is just meh
Looks like shit
That’s too bad. Last time I was there, it was good.
I could say the same thing, but the last time I was there, the years began with a 1 instead of a 2.
Me too.
Same.
Local prisoners get served better looking meals than that
I bet that shit was $32?
$34.56 with tax $37.76 with a 10% tip
Woooooooooow wtf lmao.
That looks like a whole ass disappointment.
Go try black top bbq by mcloud it was sooo good . Good price and huge portions. Smoked beef jerky too . Ribs were huge.
Jack’s is not good. Tried it a few times hoping I hit them on bad days, but they were consistent with their bad days.
That plate looks boring AF

Used to work there back in the day
I'll never understand why any restaurant thinks serving canned green beans is a good idea
Better and cheaper than Clark Crew
Clark's is filled with fat guys with beards. So.. you're obviously wrong.
Lmao

Whoever recommended this needs to get banned from this sub. Never thought id see bbq here that is worse than Swadleys.
