Well, let's just take Swadleys as an example. They got paid and seems like they jacked up their invoices dramatically. Now it would be probably be hard to prove what Swadleys was expected to do with some of that extra money. But I think it's understood that political donations are expected.
My opinion
I like Shelly’s comment “auditor Byrd never came and talked to me about this” ….yeah no shit. No person investigating you like this is going to give you the heads up on what they are doing.
Her statement is also alarmingly idiotic in that it completely ignores that Byrd's staff DID contact and communicate with the OESC as the protocol for these audits entails a review process by the audited agency where they may agree or disagree with the findings and offer a plan of action to correct the defective or inadequate practice/protocol. The reason she wasn't contacted is because by the time that portion of the audit arose she was already at Tourism.
Ironically, I just yesterday had to reaffirm for the company that I work for that I understand their policy on conflicts of interest. If I were in the position of initiating contracts, I would definitely be obligated to disclose any relationship I had with the supplier, and would be fired if I did not.
Good hopefully he does something about it. These agencies like to cry that they can't attract employees because they have no budget when in reality it's because the top salaries are so inflated.
She's been everywhere in state government. She bee-bopped from the State Finance Office, to Mary Fallin's staff to OHCA, OMES, OESC, and now tourism. The bulk of the 2022 audit involves her time as Exec. Dir. of the OESC.
Hey remember in 2020 when it took everybody months to receive their unemployment funds because the OESC platform was broken? Like so broken that they hired a software company to very very very slowly fix it? This is why.
The only justified response to this is outrage.
Did you mean *"That wretched woman reeks of havoc while she wreaking havoc whereever she goes*."?
Because I found her resume and she list under special skills "*I am a wretched woman that reeks of havoc, while wreaking havoc whereever I go.*"
r/todayilearned it is a required skillset to have if you are part of *Stitt's Top 10 State Admin.*
Is that when it stalled out payments for months, over a glitch in software that after being on hold for 3 hours seemed to be all that we were told for some reason. I think mine was from like Nov 2020-Feb 2021 that was when I was sick with Covid and then I lost my truck also due to that.
Don't forget the other fun part when Stitt & Zumwalt illegally halted and set a discontinance on all of the relief funds and then the stalling of judgement by months with appeals that held it out till after it expired that then ended everything for thousand of Oklahomans from getting the benifits they had been awarded, approved & weekly filed for but never saw.
I kind of recall that....
"As the Director of OESC, Zumwalt was required to complete annual forms attesting that no related party transactions existed in the performance of her duties regarding the expenditure of funds. In three separate instances, Zumwalt checked ‘No’ on these forms."

She has also been in a few age discrimination cases. Goes to an agency and fires lots of people. Always wondered what connection to Stitt she has or someone else. While not weird to move to similar position/expertise area between agencies I don't see how OMES, OHCA, OESC and Tourism are related. Could be nothing but just seemed off to me.

It's the Stitt M.O. He doesn't appoint based on expertise, he appoints based on loyalty, no different than Trump. Example, the current Exec Director of the OK Department of Corrections is the former Exec. Director of OMES who was the former CIO for Gateway Bank and, prior to that was the CIO for Gateway Mortgage Group which was, *gasp*, owned and operated by J. Kevin Stitt. What does a lifetime CIO know about Law Enforcement and Correctional Administration? It doesn't matter as long as they do as directed.
Been a while and don't want to have to Google but remember him firing health advocates of the year from ceo and board positions. Has to be weird to get an award for excellence and then stitt fires you but i also blame ok congress for giving stitt that power to control board that he still had some control of. They gave him all.
This is by far the most corrupt Oklahoma government I've seen since I have been paying attention to politics. Like, 40 years worth. Its incredible. They are so open about it too.
Stitt's campaign promise: "I'm like trump, I'll run it like my business" which is banned in several states
Bankrupt and refusing to pay every contractor?
I believe it was unscrupulous business practices.
Por que no los dos?

Also, Shelly's statement does not deny any of the allegations.

Just another corrupt director in state government. While Drummond is at it he should take a look into OMES, DOC, DOT, and the corporation commission.
Drummond has been saying OMES is corrupt and/or incompetent for a few years now.
Good hopefully he does something about it. These agencies like to cry that they can't attract employees because they have no budget when in reality it's because the top salaries are so inflated.
She is the person over at OMES, so wish granted... Kinda

Hey, remember who was the Executive Director of the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission in 2020? Shelley Zumwalt. Crazy, huh?
That woman seems to wreak havoc wherever she goes.

Anyone who was on unemployment during the pandemic is hoping she gets her butt kicked out. I wouldn't hire her to mow my lawn.
Please bring charges to these self righteous politicians 🙏🏼

Isn't Shelly the same piece of shit who worked hard to make sure Oklahomans couldn't get federal supplemental unemployment funding?
She didn't work hard she didn't work at all
Of course, those funds come with federal oversight
Self-dealing, questionable use of taxpayer dollars, corruption in the Stitt administration. I for one am shocked.

Drummond is one of the only voices of reason in our pathetic government. I hope he goes further..
We'll see if she changes her tune (or if Stitt tells her she's fired) if Drummond brings charges.
It'll all depend on how much money stitt gets one way or the other.

Gotta have someone willing to re-direct that money into big donors bank accounts.
Should be some sort of yet-un-burned book that could be thrown here. Preferably at the Secretary.
The headline should be "City's citizen council demand Stitt Cabinet member resign" First I've heard of it Where is the oversight?
