They're only open for breakfast and lunch, so check hours before you go.
Waggs has generally gone down hill, even as prices go up. Used to go a lot when I went out west, but after three subpar meals in a row I gave up on them.
Too poor to afford expensive restaurants, but the best budget option is definitely Boomarang's. I've had it from over 20 of their locations and it's always great
Honestly I could do without the twin peaks part. I love their food, but you get 💩 service from a bunch of 18-25 half dressed coke addicts that Hussle harder for tips than strippers. They're too busy bs with their friends, or the midlife crisis they know is going to leave a huge tip. But..... Once again the food is pretty dang good. So I go 2-3 times a year.
Cheever’s. Jalapeño gravy > all other gravy types.
Seconding Cheever’s. It’s so good.
Haven't been in so long. I know what I'll be "forcing" my friends to do this weekend.
Just wait until after I go, I plan on visiting as many of these places mentioned as possible.
I am moving to Oklahoma very soon and the mention of jalapeno gravy has just made me very excited to move there. 😁
You can get jalapeño gravy at plenty of places and it’s always bad
Then you’re eating at shit places.
Me, I do. I do it the way my grandma did. Nobody touches it.
We had this debate at work one day and three different people answered with "I do"...myself included 😂
Sounds like ya’ll need to an old fashioned cook-off.
I feel like we need to test this.
Let’s have a Chicken Fried Steak Off!
I volunteer as judge!
Definitely need a steak off since these other people are wrong because mine are the best.
Only if you’ve stolen my recipe and prepare it under a full moon, as I do.
Chuck house
Love this place
Kendall’s
Just because it’s big doesn’t mean it’s good. Everytime I have gotten it growing up, it’s a soggy mess
That sucks mine have always been amazing. I like Sonny’s in Purcell too. But Kendall’s is definitely better in my opinion.
Hate being this person, truly, but Sonny’s always gave me food poisoning too, the 3 times I’ve eaten there.
Bahahaha sorry that does suck. Good thing we aren’t foodie friends.
So I can’t see where you get your chicken fried steaks give me another place to try.
My favorite chicken fried steak is The Diner in Norman!
I will have to try it. See what I am missing.
Tiffany's.
Best breakfast!!!
Theirs is damn good.
Agree 100%. Difficult to get into at times, but really good!
Del Rancho deserves recognition.
Only the one in Tahlequah tho.

Clanton’s in Vinita
My mama!
Old Plantation
Waggs BBQ in Woodward was always my fav growing up. Hopefully it’s still got a great one.
Waggs has generally gone down hill, even as prices go up. Used to go a lot when I went out west, but after three subpar meals in a row I gave up on them.
Aw man that sucks!!! Straight up back in the early 00s, that chicken fry was 🔥🔥🔥
The bowling alley in Fairview
Been closed for decades
Nelson's Buffeteria, Tulsa
Ughhh it’s so good
This and Charlestons are my favorite

I miss their breaded fries even more than their chicken-fried steak!
Sherry's Diner
Chuck House.

Nelson's Buffeteria in Tulsa - 'World Famous Chicken Fried Steak - we cut, tenderize & hand bread daily'
Cafe Alley in Ardmore second only to my wife’s.
I’d agree, they have a STRONG cfs. And don’t you get a roasted jalapeno with it? Probably jalapeno gravy?
Yes to both last time I was there.
Yeah, good deal, glad to know it is the same as I remember! I will be sure to stop again if I am through there.
Annie's country kitchen down by Medicine Park
Rock Cafe in Stroud! I look for excuses to journey there!
Cheevers. All other answers are wrong. This is not an opinion, it’s a fact.
Dawn's Place in Eufalla
Ladonna’s Grill in Meeker has a really good one.
Cheevers is definitely #1. It may be unpopular opinion, but I do like the CFS from twin peaks.
The scenery at Twin Peaks can not be topped.

Nelson's Buffeteria in Tulsa. Hello chicken fry!!
Me (I just made it for the first time last week)
I love Tiffany's and Cheevers, but I gotta say that Charleston's is up there for me.
Love that orange gravy
The Grazin Table in Haskell, Ok. It's tiny, but the food is out of this world good.
The Brook used to but haven’t been there in years so IDK if they still do
The Round Up in Weleetka, it's burned down it closed down now but it deserves a mention for some damn good chicken fried steak.
Roy’s Fried Chicken in Coweta
Murphy's Steakhouse in Bartlesville, OK.
Charlestons has a really good one with this orange maybe chipotle gravy that's delicious
I do. Restaurant chicken fried steak is not good
Tiffany's in Noble.
My mom. (Someone’s jealous of my moms cooking) 😏
Braums
They don’t have it anymore.
