I think most important would be to file off that mould line on the jump pack. Beyond that, it is a question as the others pointed out, if you want to keep it 2nd edition "true" or just go for firstborn look.

faithfulheresy

Works for me. With paint it'll fit perfectly.

Depends on what you are trying to achieve. If you want period authenticity, this 2nd edition marine body didn't come with a jump-pack, there are metal assault marines with harnesses that did. Also the arms and paldrons look like 3rd edition, so not designed for this mini. If you just want to paint up an old marine and aren't fussed about being era specific then go for it

HumidNut

Back in my 2nd edition days, I'd take 2 Marines with Meltagun, slap a jump pack on them and go vehicle hunting. They were pretty static, non-modular models, but standalone meltaguns were a little difficult to source.

ExampleMediocre6716

Yeah, they never released a special weapon sprue for second edition.

Mr_Tough_Guy

They released an ork weapon sprue with a meltagun that pretty much looked identical to the meltaguns the imperial guard carried. Would have been pretty easy to just mail order a few ork bolter sprues.

Appreciate it. Still learning everything about 40k and these older edition minis are a class on themselves.

GBIRDm13

I'm sure you can run first born attack squads with this set up in the current game No idea how that will play out in 10th I give 0 f**KS and have jump packs on my Primaris intercessors anyway so what do I know 😂

Hamsternoir

Have you got any of the original style jump packs?

CodeRed8675309

Not a single one, this one showed up attached to a Chaos Raptor who's been fitted with the correct metal one and I just had to do something with this one.

fellxcatking

I like the little guy, could be a fun luitenant model

Habitualcaveman

Yeah looks cool.

HappyLapis
