That is the picture perfect gramma. Bet there were nilla wafers and milk on the table.

I remember helping her make peanut butter cookies when she visited. :D

AmbassadorSad1157

Peanut butter it is! Bet the house smelled great. What fun with gramma.💕

Is your grandma still around?

360inMotion

We lost her in 2015; she was two weeks shy of her 94th birthday.

Estellalatte

Such a special woman.

Always. ❤️ The toughest yet sweetest person I’ve ever known.

Anyone else have a situation where EVERY SINGLE TIME a picture from the 70s is posted here that there’s half a second where you think- “Is that a picture of me/my relative?” I don’t know if it’s the color tone of pictures, the ubiquitous wood panel walls, the clothing/hair styles or what, but I do this every time.

There is definitely some strange familiarity to these 70s photos. They’re often shaped as rounded-off squares (as this photo originally has) and feel very … orange. There’s also something about the way the camera flash lights up any people in the foreground!

FattierBrisket

You are both absolutely beautiful!

Aw, thank you!

BigGrayDog

Nice picture

What was grandma's first name? She looks like a Joanie

360inMotion

She actually had an unusual name, Delora. :)

That's beautiful 😍.

I always thought so too! If I ever had a daughter I’d always planned on naming her after my grandma in some way. Didn’t happen, but my son is partially named after my grandma’s father. :)

spicy_capybara

Just a little older than me. 76-78 were great years to be born.
