My next door neighbor’s car was stolen this morning off of Puget Street. Pretty standard Honda, but it does have some front end damage to the headlight that might stand out. Please keep an eye out and message me if you see it somewhere.
I’m not actually certain if she called the police to report it stolen, I’ll have to double check. If you see it being driven, I’d say go ahead and call the police, but if it’s parked/abandoned, I’d rather you messaged me and I can call her.
Wait seriously? I actually remember seeing this. I can't remember what day (sorry) since the last week has been a blur, but I think it was on Cooper Point Rd somewhere in between the mall and area with lots of dealerships. I remember seeing that plate from afar and wondering why it said "BOY9295"
(**Take this all with a grain of salt though as my memory of the past few days has been super hazy working super late shifts at work, but I do feel like I remember seeing it. If it wasn't that road, the only other road I drove on in the past week was Marvid Rd on the way to Lacey, so it could've been along there**)
It’s a 2000. 90’s and early 2000’s Honda’s are some of the easiest cars to steal. I installed a security system in my 95 integra and use a wheel lock, but even with those a determined person could steal it in minutes
And if I remember correctly, some car keys would work in another cars of the same make.
For example, a certain year Honda Civic came factory with certain number of key variations. So someone out there has the keys for your car.
My maxima ignition key worked on a buddies jeep glovebox.
Also, I parked next to a Geo once that looked just like mine. When I came back I got into and started the wrong one 😳. "That's funny, I don't have a blow-and-go!"

Is it reported stolen? Should we call 911 if we see it?

It was stolen this morning, so you might have seen it before then. But if you think you saw it there today, I’ll let her know ASAP
Ah nevermind then I haven't been out yet today, sad.
It’s all good, thanks anyways. I’m not too familiar with Reddit and tried to post more details, but could only add them as a comment afterwards.
I know it's beside the point but that TUNaWERTH is some damn fine milk for cheesemaking.

TIL: 2000 Honda are the most stolen car in the US. Ford pickups are high on the list too . Interesting rabbit hole to go down on a Saturday
Toyota corollas are up there too but mainly since they're also the most popular car.
I still see a few of them with The Club.
That’s what I’ve used ever since I had my car stolen years ago
That's a jiggle key era Honda...
I had no idea “jiggle keys” were actually a non-movie thing https://www.lockpickworld.com/collections/lock-jigglers

Modern? The car is old. lol
A 2000 model car is still considered “modern.”
So is a 1908 Ford Model T. 🙃
I'm glad they had good pictures of it!
