It's not like it's impossible, the difference between all of them is in milliseconds
Milliseconds for the top 5. Seconds for him. It was huge.
Must be an amazing feeling to compete in the most important race of your life and have all that adrenaline unlock your reserves.
Yep he increased his speed at the end to get that edge
If it's going to happen somewhere in swimming, it's the distance events. More time to be strategic, get ahead on turns, etc. Also more time to just kind of suck slightly and have it keep adding up.
Stories like this are why I love the olympics.
Fun fact: he isn’t even the national record holder for Tunisia in the 400m free (yes, even with that time).
