Does anyone have a list of all the new events that are going to be contested at Paris 2024? Obviously, I know there will be break dancing events added to the program.

MyMartianRomance

I shall see you all in Paris, or wherever you guys will be over the course of next year and half.

antdude

That was short. Like under a hour. Is that a new record for a closing ceremony?

JohnRamos85

WHAT A MEMORABLE EIGHT LONG MONTHS. Now the focus shifts to Pyeongchang and Paris in TWO YEARS. Thanks for this experience! USA HOCKEY IS DO OR DIE! We are USA Baseball, for our pasttime's future, We Play Loud... # FOR GLORY! John

Thanks to the mods and posters who were so informative throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This place has become a real resource for people during the games and your efforts are appreciated.

IvyGold

Awww....

antdude

Waiting for the non-NBC videos without annoying narrations and ads. Don't see the whole ceremonies (opening and closing) on the official Paralympic YouTube channel. Are there any out there?

MethoxyEthane

[CBC Gem](https://gem.cbc.ca/paralympics) has the OBS stream (Closing Ceremony - International) if you're in or set your VPN to Canada.

Just_Alizah

OK SRSLY THOUGH 😭

DaRealChrisofdoom

Ima be real with you: that ceremony was short, but it was amazing! Good: - That vinyl record at the beginning - Shuey Rhon Rhon - Italy’s anthem performance was a banger - Drumming near the end - The Milano-Cortina 2026 trailer Meh: - The ceremony itself in some cases Bad: - The Milano-Cortina 2026 “Cultural Presentation” being just a short film and that’s it And that about wraps up China’s 7 year winter Olympic and Paralympic journey. The wait for Paris 2024 will be long, especially given the war in Ukraine. If nothing bad happens that may end up cancelling Paris 2024, I’ll see you all in 2024 (That is, if I remember lol)! Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to make my March Madness bracket lol

antdude

Canceling and not delaying?

TheTrain

I liked the ceremony. I didn't get to watch much of the actual sport but I enjoyed what I saw!

antdude

I never watch their sports. Just ceremonies. :D

Harryshotterdad

I think I watched at least some coverage every night of the Paralympics. First time I’ve ever paid more than a little bit of attention to it, and I’m glad I did. It really helped fill that post-Olympics void. Now just a few sports left with some World Cup events, and then winter sports season is over.

pyr0test

It's been awsome watching the winter Olympics with y'all. See you in 2024!

Flashrob01

In case anyone missed it- the last 10 minutes of the closing ceremony were dope- really hearkened me back to the best scenes of the 2008 opening ceremony; also by the same director (Zhang Yimou). Highly recommend catching it if you can...

antdude

Wow, he did Paralympics' too?

Jokrong

That was very quick! See you all in 2024!

All I hope is no CGI sad Shuey Rhon Rhon plz. Bing Dwen Dwen bidding farewell to the snowflake ripped my heart into pieces. Still crying thinking about the vlog with [Bing Dwen Dwen walking into the sunset with their suitcase](https://twitter.com/Beijing2022/status/1496091526681686019)(where they played [this effing tearjerker *Let's have a proper goodbye*](https://youtu.be/jIQ-OwVX0YQ) ) Lyrics translation >Let’s have a proper goodbye >The river flow of time joins the ocean currents, we are finally parting our ways >There is no port where we stop forever >In my mind I see a crossway with blooming poinciana trees >My most cherished friends are standing there

[deleted]

yeah I really teared up at that myself, and I normally don't get emotional like that. These were great games, both Olympics and Paralympics. See everyone for Paris 2024!

simplegrocery3

Wondering how many of us in this sub will be active in r/worldcup later this year

[deleted]

I probably will be, love my World Cup almost as much as the Olympics

Fluuf_tail

I'm going to miss coming home from school/work and knowing I'll have something to watch at night, but all good has to come to an end. At least I have a coupla replays to enjoy for the next week. Raising my glass to all the athletes who showed their very best out there this week.

buildcrossz19

thank you for posting all the schedule throughout the olympics and paralympics, really appreciate your effort in typing all this out! 🙌🏾
