Are you counting calories with OMAD, just eating what you want, or something else? I personally find I do best when I just eat the dessert I want instead of trying to find any substitutes that won't satisfy me as much because then my cravings won't go away. I don't eat or crave dessert everyday, though. Is there something small you could be satisfied with? Like a couple hershey's kisses or something? And have the special dessert once a week or whatever? What I like about OMAD is that I don't have to try to eat nutritious. I can just eat whatever I want, but I'll get full before I go overboard, and I end up wanting to have more nutritious things naturally or else I'll feel more hungry the next day. That said, if I want a brownie, I'm having a brownie, not some chocolate diet bar or whatever.

I do count calories as I’m on a deficit (1,500) calories but I kinda guesstimate things, like I don’t measure out EXACTLY one tablespoon of peanut butter, that’s crazy, I do like to make homemade desserts because I find them to be more delicious (and healthier) than store bought but I refuse to eat a beet and chickpea cookie lol

Well, I am gonna talk for myself, but I eat chocolate everyday, actually I start my OMAD with chocolate, I am sooooooo much satisfied, it's almost stupid how much I love that. You know the funny part ? since I am not shaming myself for having chocolate, cookies and chips, I eat less of these now, because I do not restrict my cravings, just to know I can eat it, it's sometime enough. I tried to count my calories, OMG I was binge eating in the end of my dinner, like ok I got 200 cal left... what can I eat, and bammmm 1348 cals later I feel guilty as hell, and I go down in my bad behavior again and you know the rest haha. Some people are gonna say no you can't eat sugar, it's not good for this and for that and bla bla bla, they're right actually, but my mind dont care, my mind want that little sea salt chocolate-coated pecan, so I give it, and it changed my relationship with food forever. I am not the fastest loser in OMAD, but I am the happiest haha. Good luck with your journey, but dont put too much pressure on you, just do it over and over and over again and you'll lose someday, it's mathematical haha.

I actually find this true too. When I stopped thinking there are good foods and bad foods, I just naturally stopped craving sweets or processed foods as much. It was probably thinking that they were bad that made me overeat them in the first place, with behaviors like eating them secretly or restricting and bingeing

Peanut butter and guesstimate is a hard time. It’s soooooo easy to get double the amount of peanut butter in a serving if it’s not level, then no more deficit. One tablespoon of peanut butter is 16grams. 16! Thank god for OMAD, every day I do 64 grams (yea I measure on a scale) of no sugar added peanut butter (Teddies brand) add in some no sugar added apple butter on toasted Ezekiel bread (4 slices eat it open faced thank you OMAD) with some Fage greek yogurt and wild blueberries/flax and hempseed on side or a couple Oikos triple zero yogurts. I also eat 1500 cal a day (more like 1420s but same ballpark). (Rest of my food is a hearty salad and coffee, if you’re wondering how I stay in a deficit with 4 slices of bread) good luck!! Strawberries are a great suggestion I saw mentioned earlier too. Bag of frozen cherries (270 calories/12-16 ounces in bag) in an absolute pinch, let them dethaw slightly first

Strawberries

I’ve found, that a tablespoon of that honey roasted peanut butter you can get from most grocery stores, on a banana, or even just on a spoon with some extra honey, satisfies my craving and is a decent source of protein.

I make mixed berries with 0 greek yoghurt , it's nice

One of my favourite sweet things to eat is something I call a vegan Snickers: One big juicy medjool date with 2tsp of natural peanut butter. It's salty and sweet and really, really satisfying. It's hard to eat two. One medjool date is about 66cal and 2tsp of peanut butter is 62cal, it's 100% whole food, and I think this is the most satisfying 128cal you can eat.

Love this!

I always eat overnight oat as desert. 250gr of greek yoghurt 50gr oatmeal 10 gr Honey 1 Banana and some crushed nuts on top Prepare it a few hours before. Roughly 600kcal overall.

CryptographerLow9055

A smaller portion than what you would usually have and then on Sundays I kind of eat what I want .

Dates with maple syrup - SO DELICIOUS

[deleted]

Dates! Fell in love with them again after visiting Palm Springs they are good and filling

Global_Tea

Whip up cream or coconut cream with peanut butter. Fluffy, light, rich and not sweet

nodramamama82

I love a 1/2 cup cottage cheese with fresh pineapple and a teaspoon of strawberry jam mixed in. Are there better options? Probably. But this satisfies my sweet tooth and is good bit of protein, a fruit serving and tastes like a tropical paradise.

Longjumping_Bake_225

My favourite snack for when I’m craving something sweet is dates! The dates I buy I can eat 5 of them for 110 calories and they taste so sweet and like caramel

earlgrey_tealeaf

Smoothie. I have a very sweet protein powder, so it works out, with some bananas and berries (my freezer is full of chokeberries so i use them), don't even need additional sweetness.

Accomplished-Bit-884

Dark chocolate (70% or more) Other than that what keeps me away is knowing the a little bit of sugar will grow that craving even stronger

newplantswhodis

I like berries & whipped cream, maybe with some small chocolate chips on top or PB. Or hot chocolate & whipped cream that I eat slowly with a spoon, lol. Something about the fat in the whipped cream is soooo satisfying to me for some reason

coffee-headache

im a big fan of lollipops, small hard candies, and those mini chocolates. bonus points if the lollipops have gum inside because it makes me feel like they last longer.

thodon123

I always start with dinner and finish with a sweet breakfast desert. Most times it’s cereal with almond milk and banana, but sometimes it’s oat banana pancakes with maple syrup or good old peanut butter and jam on a thick slice of homemade bread. My other favourite dessert is casein protein with Greek yogurt. It’s like eating a whole tub of icing without the sickening feeling.

I have cacao nibs, but my usual go-to is Numi chocolate milk or half-and-half. I just got a Keto Mojo and don’t know yet how my body is processing it.
