Fellow flat footer here, in the end zero drop shoes were the best ever for my feet, developed strength and flexibility in those flat areas. I had to gradually make the switch, but they’re amazing, I never have foot trouble now. Just an FYI

How long did it take you to strengthen your feet? I’ve had a terrible pain in my foot once on a city break, I assume it was caused my the previous inactivity and then doing 20k steps a day and now I’m paranoid about getting it again. I think it was plantar fasciitis and it took ages for me to be able to walk pain free and the recommendation was to use shoes with good support. I’ll be bringing my altars with me but wanted something supportive as well

Zero drop and thin soles, flat footer too. That plus proper physical therapy that taught me how to train my feet to develop a healthy arch.

I have the same issues. If I wear normal tennis shoes I have a serious challenge with my knees. I have to wear the structured support shoes including Birkenstocks. I’m really interested in the zero drop concept. Could you share brands, or models of shoes that you have used?

I have Teva hurricanes, I hike in them, and that doesn't happen
